First of all I want to say that the lady who dealt with our complaints was absolutely fantastic. She agreed with our findings and sorted the bill accordingly and served us complimentary wine and coffee as an apology. But....Sadly we were very disappointed with the food served. We were a table of 10 and we had to complain about 5 of the 10 meals. The lasagne was burnt on the top and the pasta was mushy and like paste. Obviously pre prepared and possibly cooked from frozen. The croque monsieur wasn’t cooked and was more like a cheese and ham sandwich with grilled cheese on the top, it also arrived cold. The super green salad was basically a plate of green leaves. No seeds, pulses, hummus and they’d run out of avocado. The chicken for an additional £2 was quite clearly pre packaged and consisted of 4 tiny pieces which were rubbery and processed. The coleslaw was basically dry shredded cabbage, lacking in any flavour or dressing. Although we were very disappointed as this was our Christmas family get together, we do feel that we were treated with respect and they did as much as they could in the circumstances. The prices of the food really do not represent the quality of the food served. Sadly we will not be returning or recommending you to friends or family. The food served is basic restaurant food that should have arrived tasting and looking great, sadly this wasn’t the case. We would actually question the chef here. This isn’t difficult food to prepare to a good standard. The environment is welcoming and warm with log burners and a great log cabin feel but it was a huge shame that we all left feeling very disappointed.

Nice fire burning, but we were seated next to the door to the car park. Everybody coming and going leaving door open. Would have stayed for a dessert but was fed up getting a cold chill and having to shut the door.

We had to wait a while at the till to be shown our pre-booked table. Food took a long time to come and it was the smallest portion of salmon we’ve ever seen (although it was cooked nicely). We then queued again after we helped ourselves to cakes but weren’t offered any cream to go with them. Excellent range of gluten free cakes. The coffee we ordered never came and we had to ask for it again. It would have been nice if our dinner plates had been cleared so we could have our cakes on an empty table. Overall a disappointing visit with inattentive staff.

We were staying locally and had visitors so this turned out to be a wonderful option for lunch. If we are in the area again we shall most certainly visit.

Had to wait nearly an hour for food 12.45 got it around 1.45, then went arrived chips mis. Santa arrived with his Elf which was a lovely surprise. Male waiter never spoke or smiled until we spoke.

Really great atmosphere - lives up to mountain ski lodge theme extremely well. Little bit loud, but was quite busy as Sunday lunch time, and was more cosy and atmospheric than an annoyance. Sunday roast was lovely - meats (turkey and beef) were great. Only slight let down was the roast potatoes being a bit hard and not crispy. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food presented nicely and with plenty of side dishes and sauces to choose from. Plenty of gravy brought over when requested. Really great experience.

1st visit for sunday lunch. Absolutely lovely. Will definitely go again and recommend. Only feedback would be around desserts...you need to provide a fork as well. Plates not great with cream..apart from that delicious!
