We wanted a place with good food and children friendly this place was great. Food was great staff friendly and helpful, lovely shop and Garden centre as well.

The food, atmosphere and staff were all excellent. Busy and noisy but good noise of people chattering and enjoying themselves. Highly recommended

Restaurant has a great atmosphere, staff really friendly. However unfortunately food not as good as it used to be

Food service was slow, despite the restaurant not being busy. We had finished our drinks before the food arrived. When it did arrive, it was very good.

Excellent Afternoon Tea, Very accommodating, we arrived with an extra child which wasn’t an issue and he was allowed to just share our food so no extra cost for us! Would highly recommend

The service was so slow we waited over hour for food and the two meals came and and we still had the wait for the others,not many vegetarian choices ,so expensive for what is offered,really won't be rushing back I'm afraid to say,only went as close to parents, but no hurry to go back

The food was lovely, but, we were put on table 1 and with the acoustic guitarist behind us and people coming in, I couldn’t hear my mother speaking on the other side of the table! On paying the bill it transpired that we weren’t booked onto that table. If we were to dine again, we would ask not to sit on that table, it spoiled the day!

Really expensive for what you get and the quality of the good was not justifying the price.

Food was lovely, plenty of choice and the staff were great, friendly and attentive.

Have always enjoyed the food and service here as we have been coming for a number of years. There is a good selection of food and the cakes and scones are really great. Free refills on the tea I could spend all day there! In addition the well stocked nursery and shop give you somewhere to walk the meal off. Really great value.

Alway love this place ! But did have to get a member of staff attention to order out food , which has never happened before , but food was worth the wait

Our meals were very good with ample helpings. The cheesey chips were excellent with copious amounts of cheese. The lasagna was delicious. Service was first rate.

Incredibly slow service and very disappointed with the food when it finally came. This was a second chance after the same issues last time we visited and a very poor response when this was raised. Only worth a visit for coffee and cake.

Lovely as always. Went slightly later than usual so much quieter which was nice. Great food and even bought some lovely cake home. Great to be able to book a table online.

Very good choices and well priced. Nice to see a choice if traditional lunchtime fayre on the menu: sarnies, JPs, panini etc as well as more substantial meals for those that want them. So many places now only serve meals.

Lovely alpine setting, very cosy atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and attentive, and the food is yummy. The scones warm with clotted cream are amazing!!!

Attentive and friendly staff, as always. Previously we had only visited for a ‘coffee and scone’ experience but decided to have Sunday lunch on this accession and we were not disappointed! The chicken roast was all cooked to perfection and the portions perfect for me. Excellent!

Love this restaurant, such a cosy atmosphere, staff very pleasant and service good, bit disappointed Vegetables were frozen and Yorkshire puddings not homemade but still an enjoyable meal, also my friend had apple pie and cream which turned out to be clotted cream not pouring which is nice but not expected. Would definitely go again though if only for atmosphere

Although it was very busy we were served quickly, the quality of the food was delicious and plenty of it. The scones were enormous we shared one between us.

Had a lovely meal, would recommend, good friendly service, great location, fresh home cooked food, and to finish it off some beautiful cake to take away.

It was very busy and we had to ask to be served. The two items I asked for from the menu would have taken half an hour to receive(toast or cheese scone) which the pleasant waitress apologised for. Having reserved the table, we were asked to leave after 2 hours and advised we were told it had been reserved & had been told when we came (which we were not) As regular visitors throughout the year we will be reviewing attending again

Great choice on menu and really friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend whether lunch or afternoon tea. We have been many times over past 5 years and always the same great welcome.

Lovely surroundings, delicious food and very well looked after by all the friendly, helpful staff. Definitely recommend pre-booking as it is always popular. Our third visit, lunch this time having had breakfast and coffee on two previous times. Will definitely be returning and highly recommended.

Food taste has deteriorated. Meal was bland and Sunday chicken roast consisted of a simple ready portioned breast not even sliced off a whole chicken. Probably last time we will go there for a meal. Real shame they used to be so good.

Booked table for 12.30pn. Arrived on time. Waited one hour to be served Disappointed. Food is good but perhaps understaffed to mee the demand of a full restaurant
