Very good Service a bit slow but not the fault of staff just not enough of them Food was very good, the potions were huge but reasonably priced

Excellent location, good food choice, excellent quality food and good service. Inside and outside seating and I noticed dogs welcome outside. No steps and easy parking.

Lovely Father’s Day meal. Friendly staff and nice to try the Swiss dishes. My little boy loved the cake selection although it took a while to choose!

Food was brilliant, prices were resonable, the only thing is because we were sat right night to the bar, there were a lot of waitress standing behind the bar watching you.

Service excellent, we were served straight away and food was perfect. The waitress was a credit to the company, couldn’t have been nicer. A wonderful place to have something to eat.

We took a small group of friends for a bank holiday weekend treat. The weather was unusually nice for a bank holiday so it was great to be able to sit in the outside area of the restaurant. As always the service was efficient and welcoming and the cakes were as delicious as ever. Highly recommend the red velvet cake! Our time there was relaxed and enjoyed by all and it was great to be able to shop and browse around the garden center after food and drink :-)

Great Restaurant - unique design to your typical garden centre restaurant. Great food and fab choice of cakes but service can be a little slow if you are in a hurry for lunch.

The cakes are superb. The roast dinner not so much as the roast potatoes had been reheated and the beef was a little tough. Your website is misleading as it gives 3 different names for your restaurant Alpine - Mountain Restaurant & J & L.

Lovely food served piping hot, and the selection of cakes is awesome. They certainly don’t stint on portion size! Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend without hesitation.

Bought one adult fish and chips and one kids meal of sausage and chips. The fish was delicious and very nicely and freshly cooked. The chips were economy oven chips and not that pleasant. My son was a bit disappointed with his meal which, although much cheaper than the adult one, was pricey for the size compared to many local pubs and restaurants. Mushy peas a bit cold.

Very clean and pleasant place. Lots of staff so service was good. Food also very good we had a mixture of items and all were of a high standard.

From the atmosphere to the food it is deliciously relaxing and a very enjoyable experience. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

The food was lovely! However we were not given clear guidance on how to order (bar or whether waitress came and took the order). When we did order, after waiting 45 mins for the food to arrive, we had to chase the order. We had 3 children with us who kept asking where the food was. The atmosphere and staff were good despite the waiting.

Lovely staff and good food, cakes are amazing, nice log fire to keep it cosy. The shop had so many good ideas for presents, we will certainly go back

Food was good but it was a long wait. Was told it would be half an hour and it was more like an hour wait for when we ordered. Also ordered fish and chips but wasn't told they had run out of ketchup! But was given a free drink to make up for the wait so that was good service.

I’ve been three times now, twice recently. The food is excellent and the place has a relaxed, family friendly ambiance. The service suffers slightly as it is always so busy but the staff are friendly and do their best.

Arrived early and orderd promptly but had a 45 minute wait for our breakfasts. Was also not made aware that the coffee came with a free refill. That would have been appreciated during the 45 minute wait. Food good when it eventually came but we were so hungry the moment had passed. Not impressed.

Really enjoyed breakfast this morning for Mothers day. Good service and well cooked food. Make sure you book on busy day's as it was fully booked.

Lovely place to catch up with friends with tasty homemade food. We had two babies with us and they had the high chairs ready at the table for us was great to find a family friendly place.

Excellent venue, friendly staff and great food. I can't rate this place highly enough. Greeted by a huge roaring fire, we were slightly early, but our table was ready for us. We were made very welcome as soon as we arrived and were updated on the menu straight away, so that we could make informed choices on our varied requirements. We will definitely return.

First time eating here and was pleasantly surprised; great food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely return, probably for a slice of the amazing looking cakes.

Lovely Sunday lunch and nice service. Only criticism was we were told that one person out of our group of 6 would have to go without a Yorkshire pudding as they had ran out! We were compensated with some cauliflower cheese but still found it hard to understand why more yorkies could not be made. Will definitely return.

Very nice quality Sunday lunch, fast and efficient service, great atmosphere. Choice for the Sunday menu and the weekday menu is great. Choice and size of puddings or cakes outweighs everywhere else.

The service is good and friendly, the main meals were very nice and well cooked and presented nicely. However, 2 deserts were disappointing, one was replaced with a different desert, but Mother didn't mention to staff that she was disappointed with her dessert.

Great food and friendly helpful staff. Tried the tartaflette for the 1st time today and would highly recommend it, although unless you have a big appetite I recommend you share it with someone.

I had baked potato with prawns. Rather skimpy on coleslaw and bits of leaves of salad could have been more generous. The Balsamic vinegar was splashed on leaves instead of gently drizzled. Not that good a presentation sorry. Barbara

The food was excellent, we had the Tartiflette. The atmosphere and service is great. A great range of cakes and pudding if you have room for it too!

Excellent afternoon at The Grange garden centre as always. Even though the restaurant was very busy the staff were attentive, polite and helpful - we’ll be back!

Waited 25 mins for drinks and 35 mins for food. No real apology given and then waiter/manager argued about waiting time.Food ok however items missing from menu description. Other customers with similiar complaints. Would not rush back.

Had the Christmas meal. Good size, but not very warm. We were all slightly disappointed with the meal. Great service though and very friendly staff.

A lovely meal and friendly staff in lovely atmosphere. Although my sister's husband got the wrong meal (regular not festive) they were most apologetic and gave him a free drink. We love going here and look forward to going again. The food is fantastic and its nice to look around the garden centre and shop before and after.

I do use this restaurant regularly and it's always got a great atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is of a high standard.

A great setting and décor, however I was somewhat disappointed with the Sunday lunch. The plate was swimming with gravy that was very thin - it made the meal very sloppy. The pudding - Apple Crumble was OK but not as good as I would have expected having read the glowing reviews.

The food as always was wonderful but the service was slower than usual. I was surprised that on such a busy day there were so few waiting staff on duty, which meant inefficiencies in service, such as people who arrived after us getting their orders taken first. It just seemed a little disorganised. Some beautiful gifts in the shop, and again, we can never resist buying something from there!

Lovely setting, like a typical mountain chalet. Food and service was excellent. Good choice really yummy desserts. Couldn’t manage a scone so bought some to eat at home. Will certainly return.

Very poor service wrong drinks with no explanation food over cooked very embarrassing as took friends for a lunch would never go again this place has gone down hill would never never recommend it

An amazing scone experience! We ordered coffee and scones and got beautiful warm scones - my daughter had waffles which were a little dry do they helped her by making a sausage con - perfect! There was no pressure to rush - thank you!

We had a lovely meal and felt embarrassed we sent food back. There was nothing wrong with the meal, just too many hand cut chips! Next time we'll share!

Lovely lunch as always. Good choice of menu and delicious cakes always on offer. The service was quick and friendly and we will definitely return.
