Good seats. Good service. Great position overlooking the river. Seats outside I you want. Too few toilets but this a minor issue for a really good evening out with family.
Food was delicious. Lovely restaurant but due to the hot weather outside, they turned the air con up so much that I was freezing. We left early as I was just too cold and not enjoying myself anymore!
Grrat food and great service. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I enjoyed it so much, I have already booked to go back with my husband.
Friendly service, great atmosphere and great food. We had a meal of all starters (betwen four of us), and the waiters couldn't have been more helpful. Massively recommend the forrero rocher shooter for desert!
The food was lovely, and the staff where great with their recommendations and a history of the restaurant. The service was fast, will definitely be visiting here again.
Good food, excellent service and great table by the window. Loved it. I always enjoy J&R as the staff smile and go the extra mile to be helpful. And the buttermilk chicken in a brioche bun is delicious!
Lovely views. Good service and food. Recommend the jugs of Bloody Mary. Staff a bit overattentive; asked how things were 3 times in space of 10 minutes!
Lovely restaurant and nice atmosphere. Lovely waiters and waitresses. Food was delightful and lovely view over into the river bank would be lovely on a sunny evening
Many menu items not available (even at 1230), not told when we arrived and only found out when advised at point of ordering. Service was very slow for each course.
Great ambience, service, and food. Romantic but also lovely. Cocktails delicious. Fun menu - not fine dining but good at what they do. Looking forward to going back.
Excellent service and food! Will be back again very soon :-) Always have a really great time here - the ambiance is amazing, thanks again!
Arrived to be seated in a corridor where people were struggling to get past us with trays of food and drinks , had to move my chair to let someone past with a pushchair . We asked to be moved and were moved to a more comfortable and appropriate seat . Not the fault of the restaurant but we were then seated next to a group who had 4 screeching toddlers which was very disruptive when trying to enjoy lunch with friends . We ordered our 4 drinks , the wine I chose which was Pinot Grigio from the menu was not available , my other choice arrived , but the other 3 drinks didn't appear until I asked a waitress , we spotted the tray of drinks sitting on the counter , no one had noticed them or made any effort to check up who they belonged to . Our waiter was new and a bit nervous and was helped out by another member of staff . After a very long wait our food eventually arrived . The food was fine and the rest of the service was taken over by a more experienced waiter . Found the whole experience a bit dull ,the other 3 guests had never been to Jackson & Rye , don't think they were very impressed ,can't say I will be rushing back there again .
Great food great service a very enjoyable evening for my sons 18th birthday. Nice touch with candles and singing with dessert.I will return very soon
Lovely place with very friendly staff. Food was excellent and portions very generous - can recommend the buttermilk chicken - I found the steaks slightly too salty
Delicious food, we had a range of appetisers and most of us had BBQ/steak. Dessert sundaes were amazing also. and lovely atmosphere. I would definitely go back, really want to try their brunch!
Very nice Saturday morning breakfast. Great menu options, great food and great service. Also, atmosphere greatly enhance by the views of the River. Highly recommend Jackson+Rye for breakfast (and dinner for that matter, based on previous experiences).
Wonderful service and the food was amazing. Couldn't fault it. We will definitely be back and give the rest of the menu a go. Great location too
It was a fantastic evening. We were welcomed with a great smile form the Maître D. The waiter was a bit too familiar to our liking, but the manager saved the situation. I would recommend.
Super tasty food, the beef brisket with corn bread was amazing. A big fan of the different varieties of Bloody Mary Cocktails. They even brought a birthday treat for my sister which was quite unexpected!
Excellent service and outstanding value for set lunch. Beautiful setting overlooking the Thames also good for people watching. Tasty meal not too heavy for lunch.
We had an absolutely amazing time! The food was delicious, the staff were incredibly attentive and knew the menu very well. Excellent recommendation on the Lovechild cocktail! Thanks for a great evening Jackson and Rye Richmond
The food was very yummy. Our table was a little on the small side and our waitress could have been a little more friendly. LOVED the Melting Chocolate Sundae!
As Usual we Had fabulous service and brunch with the stunning river view! What more can you ask for a Sunday morning! Thanks So much all!
Good food at a good location with friendly, attentive staff. The menu is varied but not so packed with choices that it effects quality. Everything I have had has been fresh and tasty. It's a great place for brunch on the weekend.
Excellent service and fine food, perfect ribeye, great truffle mac and cheese to name two coupled with buzzy atmosphere made for a great evening for our mixed group including two teenagers. Only drawback was loudmouth next door! Back again soon.
The view was lovely but we waited 45 minutes for our food. The manager removed starters and drinks from our bill & apologised. I had the shrimp burger which had no taste.
Service was great, menu diverse - unfortunately the actual product was not to my taste. It was cooked and presented beautifully, but the 6 hour smoked meat was a bit too heavily smoked for my liking.
Used to be great, now they put six people on a table for four and pack as many people in as possible. Not enough room to sit and east but I am sure they're happy with the extra money!
Menu choices were great and all our food was delicious. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. The restaurant itself was beautiful. Great restaurant experience from the moment we stepped in and till we left.
Great views, great service and lovely active, friendly atmosphere. Food was nice too!! Very good choice for our afternoon Brunch with something for everyone to eat.
Restaurant is in great location and it is a nice place but the food was lacking. Normally am really impressed but service was slow and food didn't have same standards as normal.
Nice place on the river in Richmond and food was really good at a reasonable price but the service was really slow. We had to ask 3 times for tap water.
Brilliant as always. Tried the shrimp burger today and it was really tasty, especially with a bit of chilly sauce :) the service was really good and never rushed. Thanks!
Service too slow. Only got paper napkins, every other table had cloth! Table weren't laid up ready when we sat down. Some dishes had clearly been under the hot lamp too long. Shame. Kingston branch far superior in every sense. Won't be using again
I love this place! Great food, brilliant virgin Mary's and lovey, friendly staff. Plus it's right on the river so if you get a seat by the window the views are gorgeous
Good atmosphere and menu. Service was quite slow for drinks but cocktails were nice. Food was good, would recommend the buttermilk chicken. Overall a nice meal but don't expect to be blown away.
Nice riverside setting - beautiful place to eat outside on a sunny day. Diverse menu with something for everyone and the service was great too.
the food was good and the sevice was better although theckitchen was a little slow, great view of the river, would go again maybe when the sun is shining.
Great atmosphere. Accommodating. Good food. However our waiter disappeared and we were left waiting for 30 min. That said the host compensated us and in fairness we weren't in a rush. Just a slight confusion over the birthday celebration.
I got food poisoning after the dinner, throwing up all night.. So horrible experience !! I had pasta with prawns, my quest had brisk, which was off , they apologized to us, after serving it ..very embracing for me, which I brought them to the restaurant!!
I'm usually really impressed but this time it was a real let down. - waited ages for our drinks (arrived after the food, only when I asked where they were). - ordered one of the egg dishes but wasn't impressed at all. - you can't put avocado on granary bread (it goes soggy and tastes like mush). Use sourdough instead like ALL other good brunch places are doing! - literally had one tiny rasher of bacon - not good enough. Quite disappointing overall and won't be returning for brunch at least.
Nice vibe to the restaurant as an upmarket TGI American concept. Service ethos good but even though only half full, we were kept waiting for starters and then mains. Once you have to ask where the food is, it changes the relaxed feel to a family meal. No apology offered and staff certainly didn't pre-empt the problem by approaching the table with an apology and reassurance despite seeing we had been waiting 15 mins etc for easy starters. When asked, we were told some food was ready on the pass but they were still waiting for other dishes to be completed before all of it could be served to us - hardly a professional response as guarantees something will be cold. So this was a kitchen problem, handled badly by front-of-house staff. Cost for 5 was £180 which is a fairly large bill for an average experience. Very unlikely to repeat visit.
Love the food and you do pay for quality. Only feedback is on the steak. I had the 400g ribeye and all you get is chips. It's a bit sparse. Add some lettuce, coleslaw and tomato, it'll make it look ten times better for pence.
Very friendly staff and felt very relaxed during our meal. Food served reasonablely quickly but as we visited on a Sunday lunchtime they were busy.
Very good brunch menu with lots of options. Good coffee. The service was quite slow but restaurant was very busy. We will definitely be returning soon.
Great breakfast and friendly staff. Good menu choices and the avocado breakfast was delicious. Location on the river is perfect for views and people watching!
Very helpful staff , arranged a great table with a lovely river view. Not fine dining but a Giid choice of food well presented . Food arrived in good time we had a leisurely meal without feeling rushed .
The waitress was very slow to come to our table and we had to ask to order our food and ask for our bill and then ask for her to bring the card machine so we could pay. We were there for about 2 hours for a breakfast, so it was not like we were rushing to leave or anything. Disappointing as the food and atmosphere of the place was so excellent!
Service was efficient and menu interesting. Pay was satisfied with venue. Table was a little cramped, weather assisted and Richmond is pleasant in the sunshine.
Great location and surroundings let down by poor service. Took nearly an hour to get our food and then it arrived luke warm. Had to send back the stone cold fries which then spoilt the meal. Indifferent serving staff who asked how the meal was (because they have been told they have to) but then don't listen to the answer and walk off while you are answering because they are just not interested. Overall an expensive and disappointing experience that makes you realise why premium casual dining is on a downward trend. You can buy great ribs and fries at M&S and serve them hot at home for a quarter of the price. Wont be going back any time soon.
