Nice food, good service and relaxed atmosphere. Was nice and busy on a Friday night when we went so it was buzzy but service didn't feel stretched. Would recommend.

I booked online and was perfect, got a great table for my guests. Only thing, could be a space to make special requests (birthday cake, close to the window, etc)

While many of us had a good evening there were four issues. The drinks did not arrive until after the food, when really we wanted the cocktails first. The veggie burger was unavailable which meant there wasn’t a proper hot main course and the waiters seemed to think fish would be OK. The chips were all over-salted in the kitchen. My main course was over cooked and I sent it back. Staff were helpful in trying to make up for this, bringing alternatives and a drink on the house. Good restaurant if you like a lot of meat. The BBQ platter went down well.

Very quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Good service and great timing. The food was as expected however the dessert was a bit of a let down. The Melting Chocolate Sundae is not worth the calorie.

Great location, brilliant food, excellent service... and all by the river. Drinks were delicious too! They made me margaritas that weren't on the menu. You have to go!

Lovely food, great service, fab restaurant! Jackson & Rye in Richmond is a firm favourite, great if you've got kids but not overly 'kiddie'. Cocktails at the bar are pretty good too ;)

Great food & a great atmosphere what more could you ask for. We cleared our plates & still had room for a delicious pudding. Will be coming again

The food and service were absolutely great, couldn't fault it. The cooked breakfast was the best I've ever had. Pancakes were a huge plateful and delicious. Only criticism was the tiny fruit juice, £2.95 for a small glass which was mostly ice. Otherwise I would give this place a 6.

Fish was part raw; linguine cold and congealed; house white wine sour; standards have dropped big time here over the last 28 months. Will go elsewhere next time

Staff were really nice and the food was tasty. I took a main salad and I thought it was a bit expensive for a salad. The restaurant atmosphere is very good, the music is not loud so you can hear properly.

Great relaxed restaurant with a fantastic location. We are regulars for brunch and always love the food and the relaxed but attentive service. Always happy to cater for dietary requirements without making the food any less indulgent.

We have been three times now. After a rocky start and an over keen (to make money) manager they seem now to have a better team more committed to providing better service and a better quality experience

Excellent service with attention to detail. However, there were complaints about the chicken wings being too dry, otherwise, the cheese cake was raved about! Well done guys, keep it up.

Great evening - the manager gave as an excellent window table overlooking the Thames. The barman was very friendly and mixed us some very well made cocktails before dinner. Couldn't speak more highly of the manager who made our evening. Will definitely return to Jackson + Rye Richmond and will recommend to friends.

The food was clearly good quality, but we did not have an excellent experience. Our starter and main courses arrived at the same time. They offered to take the mains away, but we didn't want them sitting under a heat lamp or being wasted, so we took them at the same time. We had requested the two sauces for the starter to be served by the side. Instead, one was on the plate and the other was missing entirely. The steak was ordered medium rare, but was served very rare, close to blue. It was also so cold that the butter on it didn't melt. We were not provided with a steak knife. At no point did anyone check our meal was ok. I think that they were busy, but it was very sub standard service. On the plus point, one of our party has celiac disease and the manager was very helpful and knowledgable about which dishes were suitable for her. This is incredibly important for her when dining out.

Great choices for brunch! Lovely staff and reasonably priced. On the river so a great view as well. At weekends you can park in the car park next to Jackson and eye which was ideal. Would definitely go back.

An entirely positive lunch-time experience. A little disappointed to learn that the brunch offers are only available at the weekend: I should have preferred this at lunchtime.

Hi. Although the restaurant was less than half full and there seemed to be plenty of waiting staff, the service was rather random and slow. Not what I've experienced before at J & R. Some of the food wasn't hot - fries that came with a burger for instance. They brought a wrong dessert and had to change it. The coffees came quite a while before the desserts. It wasn't our best experience of a J & R restaurant.

Location, atmosphere and service was brilliant. Sitting at the bar drinking cocktails and chatting to the mixologists whilst waiting for our table outside was great fun. The food was nice, I had brisket beef which was delicious - but my partners steak arrived over cooked unfortunately. They were very good and offered to re-do it but we didn't have time so they took the charge off our bill. Overall a great night out, and good value for money.

We waited for half an hour for someone to come and take our order, even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. When we did order the waitress got it wrong and brought one breakfast for three of us, even though we had all asked for the same. A more senior waiter came over to clear up this misunderstanding but we weren't apologised to or any sort of compensation offered. Finally, after waiting for the other two meals to arrive our plates were cleared before we had all finished. Overall a disappointing experience which left us feeling undervalued.

Food was mostly good, but seems to be a bit variable. Service was poor this time, waiter stretched, and we couldn't start eating at the same time as a consequence.
