They coped well with my food intolerance s though the chef sent out lots of fresh veg which I couldn't eat having specified GREEN veg ! I was also charge for two courses despite only having one piece of bread as my starter !

Lovely, welcoming staff and great location. I have been to Bonne Auberge many times; especially on theatre visits, and have never had a complaint about the food or service. My recent visit was no exception

As usual, the food was very good and the staff very helpful. As a wheelchair user the location is fully accessible and the cost of the meal was very reasonable.

Food and Service was good .Seating arrangements left something to be desired We were first in but was soon fooled by two groups of four either side of us . No privacy for us to discuss thing. Perhaps staff can stagger where people are placed.

Good food well prepared with lots of choice from the good value ‘Prix fixe’ menu or even more from the ‘a la carte’. Excellent service from friendly, efficient staff. Not our first visit and certainly not our last.

An excellent place to eat. Great ambience, fine food and wine and an attentive band of waiters and waitresses. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Disappointed that a-la-carte was not available for pre theatre meal and set menu not very exciting. Service slow and white wine not chilled. Sadly after many previous good experiences we shall not return.

The pre-theatre meal was good. The French onion soup was well prepared. The bacon was a bit too salty but otherwise tasty. It took quite a few minutes for us to be guided to our table and the service was slower than we have experienced there before, but it is still highly recommended.

The food was excellent and the service we received was absolutely first class. My friend and I both had omelettes and they were cooked to perfection. We cannot rate our experience highly enough.

Service was slow. Waiters chatting and being inattentive to customers. Pate for starters could have been from Lidl, steak main course was less than ordinary and sticky toffee pudding was bland and unexciting. Food was hugely overpriced. Will not be going back.

My Steak was a bit tough but everyone else raved over their food choice. Malbec was good and staff recommended it, Service was top class. Would definitely return especially as it’s so close to car park and concert hall

Welcoming, friendly, efficient staff. We had dinner & breakfast both days. Food delicious at all meals and beautifully presented. On our second evening we were going to the theatre and staff kept an eye on timing of courses for us. Very happy to recommend.

Sadly wasn't impressed on this visit. Told them I was lactose intolerant but very little choice given on this visit. Have been many times and never had any issues but this time the service was very slow - we had to keep asking where the food was as we were going to the theatre. I'm aware that we were not the only ones who had this problem. Where have all the good staff gone to?

We had a lovely meal and evening at La Bonne Auberge in Glasgow. The food was excellent and the staff were professional, friendly and efficient, ensuring the meals were all served promptly. I couldn’t fault anything at all, until the bill came. We were disappointed to see a service charge had been applied to our bill, considering there were only 3 of us in the group. That’s the only reason I didn’t give it a full 6 marks. However, it would not stop us returning

We went for a pre theatre dinner. La Bonne Auberge is convenient with the Theatre Royal a short walk away. We arrived a little late but the staff were very understanding. The service was good if occasionally a little brusque. The understanding of my need for gluten free food was excellent. The menu offered good choices and the food well presented with a good balance of flavours. We will go again.

Prix Fixe menu only has one vegetarian starter (soup) and one vegetarian main although the special was vegetarian. Waiter managed to accommodate me with an alternative vegetarian starter and was very helpful but I don't think I should have to ask. Otherwise no complaints.

A good atmosphere and a very nice meal but this was spoilt when the bill arrived. I was very disappointed at a 12.50% service charge being automatically added to the bill. I tip according to the level and quality of service that I actually receive. (This charge was removed upon request). I was also annoyed that a Gift Voucher I had handed over on arrival had not been applied to the bill. This had to be found and only then was the value deducted from the bill.

Unfortunately there was no reservation showing on their system but there was an available table. After all went well . I am aware of your service charge now but for a long time was not and was giving one in addition I think this should be made clearer to those unfamiliar with your system

The level of customer service from time of arrival was very poor. We were asked to have a drink in the lounge as the dining room did not open until 5pm, we arrived at 4.55. This was not a problem except empty tables were strewn with used glasses and plates., which was very I inviting, my partner ordered a gin and tonic that tasted discusting and when asked to change she was meant to feel that it was her perception rather than a dirty glass being used or the wrong drink. On being invited through to the restaurant we asked if we could have a preferred table to the one we were being allocated, there were no other diners at this point but we were told that it may not be possible and left us to discuss with the head waiter, we did not wait and cancelled the reservation.

Generally very good and quick Service as pre- concert dinner. Only slight niggle is that 2 dishes plus the dish of the day had a supplement so limited choice if you wanted to keep to the 2 course offer .
