Langar Hall

Beautiful setting, lovely services proper linen table cloth and napkins, super choice on the menu, well thought out spacing of tables, staff happy, smiling and helpful, not rushed, great atmosphere.

It was amazing food throughout the course of the evening. Service was also really good. We are already planning when our next evening out there could be.

The whole experience at Langar hall was wonderful , the staff are amazing , the food delicious the atmosphere is so comfortable you don't want to leave . I had fabulous birthday

Food fine as expected. Surprised to see a dog (albeit well behaved ) brought through into dining area. Also surprised to get crying child....not the childs fault, but the parent

My only minor niggle concerns the mens' toilets - very substandard for an otherwise perfect venue. They have not been improved in the fifteen years I have been going to Langar Hall.

Lovely food & venue! The only very small minus was the tea and truffles advertised actually just came with 1 truffle (per person) which may have just been a mistake but 9 pounds for 2 x tea & truffle a lot. Overall fantastic food service and venue so will be back!

Lovely food (although menu quite limited as one of our party only eats fish or chicken), great service and a relaxed atmosphere in beautiful surroundings

Langar Hall was exceptional, as always. Idyllic surroundings, attentive staff and a super Luncheon Menu, made this, yet another, memorable visit! Sad that the charismatic Imogen, is no longer with us.....but there are wonderful subtle reminders.

Beautiful venue with superb food. Very well presented and attentive staff. We would certainly make another visit and hopefully stay overnight in the future. A quiet classic

Delicious food in amazing peaceful surroundings ,because it was sunny we sat outside for pre lunch drinks . Waiters responsive to our needs - lovely from start to finish - sat in the small garden for tea/ coffee would defiantly go again .

The service was less than the excellent you expect from Langar Hall. Bread was offered as an after thought. Bottled water offered as an after thought. Started clearing starter plates before one of our party had finished eating. Service not as attentive as previously experienced.

I cannot find fault with this place -l it is consistently good and it doesn't matter whether you are there for a few days break or just for lunch or dinner, the experience is the same. The staff are extremely attentive without being obtrusive and the food is superb. I took my daughter for lunch and she loved it. If you want a meal or short stay in stunning surroundings with staff who make you feel like part of the family then this is the place.

Superb food (we chose three courses from the evening set menu), friendly, efficient service and a picturesque setting for a memorable evening to celebrate a special anniversary. We'll definitely return.

Good service, amusing maitre'd, lovely environment and tasty food. Really enjoyed the cheese soufflé. Service could be improved by the waiter/waitress noting what you had ordered and bringing it to you, rather than turning up at the table and saying "steak?". An easy one to do. I was also slightly surprised at how casually some diners were dressed. Would we go again? Definitely.

My wife and I returned to Langar Hall, where we were married three years ago, to celebrate our anniversary and as usual the evening was perfect. The food was delicious, the service quick and courteous and the atmosphere just right.

A quality meal in a lovely setting, we received a warm welcome on arrival, drinks were served in one of the comfortable lounges, where we ordered our meals . All three courses were tasty and expertly prepared, with ample portions.The staff were friendly and helpful, we will definitely return in the near future.

The service and food were excellent and it is in an ideal location. The attentive staff make you feel very welcome at all times. Highly recommended.

Lunch menu was superb and very good value. The wine was acceptable but over priced for what it was. The conservatory was a lovely place to have lunch.

Welcoming, super friendly, really comfortable environment with exciting food and drinks. Our first visit to Langley Hall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely go again.

Hi - been to Langar many times - two weddings and similar. (a 23 year period) Regrettably, not quite so good Sunday. Ordered drinks when seated in lounge - the party who arrived after us followed us in with drinks - ours had not arrived! They arrived at the same time as our waiter announced table was ready.. So we waited for drinks, they were late, I had not even picked up my glass when our waiter ready take us to the table. We were then seated in main dining room behind a pillar. Much preferred to be seated in the conservatory but not offered the option. Our waiter was French? Not overly sure what he was saying on occasions, nor his sense of humour or opinion re our wine choice. (implying we were unsure what wine we should be ordering) The bread presented was choice of 2 from a partially empty basket - the table next to us were offered a wide variety from a full basket of bread) food delicious and female waitress plus reception all of a high standard. I ordered sea bass (beautiful fish -hot and well cooked) Veg primarily cold. Pudding lovely, ordered tea and coffee - one cup of coffee, nice pot of tea, 2 truffles. I may be wrong but previously had a selection of petit fours - we received 2 choc truffles. (a very expensive tea/coffee at £9) wont be going for this again. Finally, sorry but we eat out a lot ... the white towel in the ladies toilet was dirty and damp - the hand wash was a cheap version of Moulton Brown.. Some of the very special aspects of Langar and real attention to detail were missing... With thanks for the option of feedback.

I took my husband to Langar Hall for a Birthday treat. The atmosphere and food were superb and the staff were tentative and friendly. Highly recommended.

Food was truly excellent but does not get a six because the service, although friendly, was slightly chaotic - we waited ages for pre-dinner drinks and coffee. Overall though a really fabulous evening.

This was our very first visit and I must say .....Fabulous food and service,set in fantastic surroundings ..... we shall return very soon ..... certainly best experience in a while !!

Great food, service and setting, struggle to get much better, attentive staff without being over bearing they were just there when you needed something. Fantastic!!

Excellent service and food as always. The lunchtime offering and value was spot on. The wonderful quirky atmosphere hasn't changed and Imo is clearly looking down and smiling

Such a beautiful place to eat, love the ambiance and food was excellent. Only criticism is the beef as it is now rump and not fillet. Mine was very chewy, I would sooner pay a supplement and get a good cut, otherwise I would award full marks. Loved it!

Food was over and above any other local standard Staff were attentive but discreet and did all they possibly could for us The atmosphere and surroundings are very hard to beat in any restaurant around this area Congratulations to them all

Hi langar hall is a fab and quirky place excellent food and a beautiful setting . Would recommend anyone give it a try . One of the best in the area

Langar Hall is lovely... we were there to celebrate our son's recent graduation and were delighted with everything. From the moment you enter the long driveway, you are looked after by the attentive and very friendly staff. The setting is lovely and the food is delicious. I can't fault it and look forward to spending a weekend there.... soon!

In arrival to leaving everything was perfect. Staff and service were amazing and the food was beautiful. Hotel, restaurant and grounds all stunning. Visited a top restaurant in London 2 days later which didn't compare to langAr hall.

Another fantastic meal at Langar. The meal was delicious, the staff very attentive and as always there was a great atmosphere. It was also very good value.

Langar Hall is a place to celebrate a special event. Restaurant, service, wine list all excellent. On top of that the setting is beautiful and the rural setting easy to access.

We enjoyed beautifully prepared and cooked food in this delightful setting and the attitude of the professional staff really made our experience special. Well done to the whole team.

We went with friends on a Monday night. It was fairly busy and we had a drink in the White room whilst they took our food order. Our main course was ok but not spectacular for the price. The desert was better. They dimmed the lights so it felt quite dark. The waiting staff were pleasant. Overall it was an ok night. I had expected more from the venue and the price. Would I go back...probably not.

Great evening as ever at Langar Hall. Only thing was steak was slightly over cooked so a little dry and tough. Service attentive. Well worth the visit.
