Langar Hall

We had a fantastic time and meal in the restaurant at Langar Hall. Would definitely recommend it to everyone we know. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

Superb food and service as always. I have frequented this venue for 25 years and never been disappointed. It is a true gem in a beautiful location.

Saturated with atmosphere and character. You'll be left in no doubt that you are somewhere very special, and an absolute one-off. Fantastic cocktails and delicious food to boot. Sunday roast is a must.

Wonderful food in a very relaxed setting. A lovely afternoon at Langar. It was good to see that Langar was busy on a Thursday afternoon. It had atmosphere.

The very friendly service was both excellent and efficient. The menu gave us some really interesting choices - nothing ordinary here. Our three courses were really flavoursome and prepared to Langar's usual high standard.

Went for a meal to Langar Hall to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They provided a real personal touch with an anniversary menu and Happy Anniversary on a slate when they delivered the coffee and petit fours. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff without being over pushy. Just the right size servings so we could appreciate three courses. All in all a delightful evening. Thanks

Langar Hall has a fantastic restaurant. The staff are top class. We got married there a year ago and went back for an Anniversary Dinner. The staff all greeted us with Anniversary wishes and the Menu was pinted up in celebration of our first Anniversary. These little touches made it a special evening for us. The food was excellent and we cant praise the staff enough. Thank you all at Langar.

A lovely relaxing dining experience in this unique country house. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was professional and attentive without being overbearing.

The quality of the service has definitely slipped recently. They appear to be trying to cater for too many customers and it obviously sadly misses the presence of Immogen

As usual the service was excellent, however we felt the portion size of the starter and main courses had reduced and the price had increased

We visited Langar Hall to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special and treated as valued guests. Our meal was exceptional - my husband had the lobster starter and I really enjoyed the twice baked cheese souffle. The printed menu had been personalised, and we were given an anniversary plate with delicious truffles and macarons at the end. Rather than get a taxi home we stayed the night - the room (Mark's Room) was spacious and comfortable. We would like to thank Ben and his team for making our visit so memorable.

Great Sunday lunch and afternoon. We had the cheese soufflé followed by roast beef. Nice wine. My wife loved it. A special treat. Highly recommend.

Pleasant but a tad shabby surroundings inside. Eclectic but chaotic cluttered interior. Food and service good, fair value for money but nothing to make me want to return. For the price, better cutlery (not worn and stained) and fresher table linen should be provided. We were sat in the conservatory on a hot day which was uncomfortably warm until we asked the staff to turn the ceiling fan on (which appeared broken) doors were opened instead. In a nutshell, I think the diner needs to be put at the centre of the experience again, not the 'faded wonder' of being at Langar hall.

Haven't had food that good for a long while, interesting flavours and beautifully balanced. The hall is a pleasure, the staff are great. Loved the Blowers' Burgundy too. The hot air balloon taking off from the front lawn just after we arrived was just a bonus.

We were a party of three and had a superb lunch with excellent service. We were all very pleased to see how busy Langar Hall was.

The food and service was excellent. Drinks outside on a lovely summer evening were well done. 2 of us had fish ,1 of us had the pork and 1 the beef. All were full of flavour and greatly appreciated. The staff were attentive but not obtrusive. Well done

We have been to this, our favourite restaurant in the region, many times over the years, often for a celebration. This visit was as successful as ever: beautiful setting; lovely food appealing to a wide range of ages and tastes (my father-in-law is 101 and thoroughly enjoyed his lunch of hake and chocolate meringue); helpful and friendly but not intrusive staff. (How I hate being told what a dish is and how to eat it!)

The Service was excellent and the meal fantastic. Well presented and creative. Cannot find fault. Perfect for our special occasion and will be returning again soon.

Rocky start but their general manager quickly pulled it back for a first class experience. The food had amazing flavours and I can't wait to go back soon.

Lovely setting really friendly helpful staff but quite a few flies in dining room which was off putting. Food well cooked abd presented. Didn't like the automatic addition of sevice charge and would have preferred to add my own tip.

Yet again a lovely experience. Food delicious and reasonably priced. Good wine list. Lovely to sit in the drawing room before dinner or on the lawn. Very friendly and helpful staff, very informal. We are very glad that Langer Hall is still a restaurant and think it is modernising in a good way. A relaxing and delightful evening!

Have visited Langar Hall several times. Service was good, however the food overall wasn't as good as it should be - both meat main course dishes were average at best - meat was not tender for either dish. Shame as the setting and place itself is lovely.

Thank you Langar Hall for a memorable afternoon! The Hall is lovely, grand yet homely, welcoming, quirky, classy. ...in other words extraordinary. The service is wonderful, professional and discrete but also warm and friendly. The food was beautifully presented and utterly delicious. My guest and I have found a new and very special place to go to for family events and celebrations.

lovely evening spent celebrating my birthday with my husband and daughters. The food was fantastic, the surroundings were beautiful and the staff were happy and relaxed. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the grounds after dinner and look at the gardens. The weather was perfect and so was my evening!

Excellent food and service in a beautiful location. Toilets need an upgrade! Perhaps more fish dishes in the main course menu? Reasonable pricing as a whole.

Lovely ambience. food carefully prepared especially the fish and souffle. Hope to return for my 80th birthday lunch. Coffee excellent. Much less grand than imagined.
