Langar Hall

A perfect evening with sublime food and service. We will be going back at the first opportunity. Langar Hall is one of those unexpected gems.

Food as fabulous as ever but slightly concerned there were dogs in the restaurant! Will ask next time we go if they have any dogs booked in for dinner!! I don’t want to dress up in my finery and sit on a sofa previously occupied by a moulting dog!! I guess most people have dogs living in the Country but do they all want them at the dinner table?

Langar Hall never fails to impress us! The most excellent and attentive service, with food fit for Michelin stars surely! A very special experience once again.

Hangar Hall is of fashioned in a good way, in beautiful setting, nice food and lovely staff we had a wonderful dinner on Boxing Day. Nice cocktails too! Highly recommended!

First time at a lovely local eatery but hopefully not the last. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. A little expensive overall, but we knew that before we went. Overall, we had a lovely evening and will be back in the future, no doubt.

Always a beautiful experience, the meal and service were both exceptional, Ricky and Guy made the day. They are so professional and made the day wonderful. The only shame was the Christmas market had been cancelled.

Fantastic combination of flavours in each dish. Unfortunately the waiter who took our drinks order did not listen to our order concerning our specific needs of no ice.

Service was atttentive quality of food was top rate . The usual problem parking needs addressing. Drinks prices are a ittle high - particularly spirits But a most enjoyable dining experience

Food excellent. Service was very good but dropped off a little about 2:30 when there is a reduction of staff. That said, the combined experience was most enjoyable

Atmospheric setting, good food, and attentive staff. A little rural gem! Ladies cloakroom has fab wallpaper! Book well in advance for special occasions. Would recommend.

Lovely ambience. Great waiters were professional but good fun if you wanted to indulge in a bit of banter. Cannot fault Sunday lunch menu and food. Waiter took the time to explain the different cheeses, which were excellent. G & T was delicious and wine by the glass reasonably priced with decent choice. Relaxing time with no sense of being rushed. Highly recommended!

a beautiful unique experience. the food was as stunning as the surroundings. it was my daughters 21st celebrations and they made her feel very special. the service was fantastic and nothing was too small. you could spend hours just looking at all the photo's and paintings. beautiful beautiful place

We had a lovely lunch at Langar Hall yesterday. A relaxing, beautiful environment with delicious food and attentive service. Delighted to be able to buy a loaf of the gorgeous bread served . I look forward to my next visit. Julia

Langar Hall has been a favourite venue for my family for over 10 years...They consistently deliver excellent service and stunning meals. Week day lunch excellent value for money too.

We had a wonderful evening at Langer Hall. The setting was fantastic, the welcome and service was excellent and the food very imaginative and delicious. An ideal location for a special meal.

Wonderful surroundings and very attentive staff. Food very good but not exceptional. Nevertheless we live to go there for celebration birthdays etc. Hard to beat in this area.

We picked a day when they were holding a wedding which meant we had to eat in a side room, which was not as nice as their main restaurant. In addition they have done away with their a la carte lunch menu and replaced it with an inferior fixed price menu. Altogether we found it no longer to be a "special"experience, and are disappointed.

Food good, excellent choices, but overall slick, welcoming service really lacking, considering this is £80 per person once you have a cocktail and bottle of wine. We were pouring our own wine by the end, and didn’t feel particularly welcome.

Lovely place. An elegantly idiosyncratic building in beautiful location. Staff attentive and give great service. Food is lovely food. Well presented, interesting, very tasty. Fine dining. Will definitely be going back.

Saturated with atmosphere and character. You'll be left in no doubt that you are somewhere very special, and an absolute one-off. Fantastic cocktails and delicious food to boot. Sunday roast is a must.

The very friendly service was both excellent and efficient. The menu gave us some really interesting choices - nothing ordinary here. Our three courses were really flavoursome and prepared to Langar's usual high standard.

Went for a meal to Langar Hall to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They provided a real personal touch with an anniversary menu and Happy Anniversary on a slate when they delivered the coffee and petit fours. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff without being over pushy. Just the right size servings so we could appreciate three courses. All in all a delightful evening. Thanks

Langar Hall has a fantastic restaurant. The staff are top class. We got married there a year ago and went back for an Anniversary Dinner. The staff all greeted us with Anniversary wishes and the Menu was pinted up in celebration of our first Anniversary. These little touches made it a special evening for us. The food was excellent and we cant praise the staff enough. Thank you all at Langar.

A lovely relaxing dining experience in this unique country house. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was professional and attentive without being overbearing.

Superb food , great house , perfect staff . This is I think the 7 th time I had eaten at langar & it was wonderful . Will try afternoon tea next visit .

As usual the service was excellent, however we felt the portion size of the starter and main courses had reduced and the price had increased

We visited Langar Hall to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special and treated as valued guests. Our meal was exceptional - my husband had the lobster starter and I really enjoyed the twice baked cheese souffle. The printed menu had been personalised, and we were given an anniversary plate with delicious truffles and macarons at the end. Rather than get a taxi home we stayed the night - the room (Mark's Room) was spacious and comfortable. We would like to thank Ben and his team for making our visit so memorable.

Great Sunday lunch and afternoon. We had the cheese soufflé followed by roast beef. Nice wine. My wife loved it. A special treat. Highly recommend.

The quality of the service has definitely slipped recently. They appear to be trying to cater for too many customers and it obviously sadly misses the presence of Immogen

Haven't had food that good for a long while, interesting flavours and beautifully balanced. The hall is a pleasure, the staff are great. Loved the Blowers' Burgundy too. The hot air balloon taking off from the front lawn just after we arrived was just a bonus.

Pleasant but a tad shabby surroundings inside. Eclectic but chaotic cluttered interior. Food and service good, fair value for money but nothing to make me want to return. For the price, better cutlery (not worn and stained) and fresher table linen should be provided. We were sat in the conservatory on a hot day which was uncomfortably warm until we asked the staff to turn the ceiling fan on (which appeared broken) doors were opened instead. In a nutshell, I think the diner needs to be put at the centre of the experience again, not the 'faded wonder' of being at Langar hall.

I visited langar hall with my mother, we ate of the lunch menu and every single course was beautiful (especially the cheese soufflé to start). The staff were very attentive and feiendly

There's a wonderful timeless atmosphere in the building. The service was excellent, from very friendly staff. Delightful food. A place to linger at, both inside and in and around the lovely grounds.

A warm welcome by attentive staff but not over bearing. Food excellent. Atmosphere very comfortable. A very pleasant experience. We will definitely visit again in the near future.

We have been to this, our favourite restaurant in the region, many times over the years, often for a celebration. This visit was as successful as ever: beautiful setting; lovely food appealing to a wide range of ages and tastes (my father-in-law is 101 and thoroughly enjoyed his lunch of hake and chocolate meringue); helpful and friendly but not intrusive staff. (How I hate being told what a dish is and how to eat it!)

Rocky start but their general manager quickly pulled it back for a first class experience. The food had amazing flavours and I can't wait to go back soon.

The food and service was excellent. Drinks outside on a lovely summer evening were well done. 2 of us had fish ,1 of us had the pork and 1 the beef. All were full of flavour and greatly appreciated. The staff were attentive but not obtrusive. Well done
