Lovely French atmosphere in the middle of Nottingham. There were three choices of vegetarian dishes which was good for a French restaurant. The waiter was charming and helpful and the food was perfect.

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday evening. Food and wine selection was excellent, staff very friendly and the setting was every bit what you'd expect in a typical French bistro! Well done everyone.

Quirky and pleasant surroundings give a French feel. Pleasant and willing staff. Food is a bit pricey and the quality does not quite match up

We went on a busy very hot Saturday. The restaurant was unbearable hot without aircon or fans and there was 1 waitress to struggle with the service. A shame as it has been much better previously

Lovely mussels and nice atmosphere. The service was good, Paola was very nice and she helped us to choose. The only thing I would feedback on are the toilets. Very outdated and don't seem very clean. The food and service is lovely

I came here with my cousin as we needed somewhere for a late lunch. We really enjoyed our meal. The food was tasty and fresh and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had the lunchtime special menu, which is very good value for money. I'm sure we will return.

What a fantastic night we had we were a little late but we were shown to our table with no fuss. Our waitress was the delightful Molly who was so friendly and really helpful we were given a free glass of bubbly it was the wife's birthday. We eat out slot and in our opinion this is the best restaurant in Nottingham .We weren't rushed to eat our meals the tables aren't on top of each other so you can hear what the people next to you are saying and the service was second to none and price wise very good .We recommend this lovely restaurant

Visited Le Mistral bistro for my birthday. Food exquisite, wonderful ambience, staff friendly and accommodating without intruding into our privacy. My wife and I had a magical time (we could almost imagine we were in a Restuarant in Paris). Well done to all of the staff for giving us an unforgettable experience.

Lovely little restaurant with an authentic atmosphere. I had pan fried hake which was very tasty, though a little too much cream sauce for me. The apple tart was also very nice. My friends enjoyed their lunches too.

For a simple, straight forward pre theatre meal it was good. Service was friendly and efficient. Four of us had mains and a desert and we were all quite satisfied with the quality. Very acceptable prices. Could have done without the incessant jazz.

Good service and nice atmosphere. Loved the fondue! Good selection of wines and nice sized menu. Went as a couple and we shared the fondue then had the rump steak with blue cheese sauce, all delicious although steak slightly overdone. Well pricrd.

Went for a date with my girlfriend. Everything we expected and more. The onion soup, though not traditional, was very flavourful. The steak was simply the juiciest and most tender I have ever eaten. The duck confit was accompanied beautifully by delicious dauphinoise potatoes. No room for desert unfortunately. Bought a bottle of well discounted house wine as well. Simply délicieux.

I often do dinners at Le Mistral and always make reservations through Quandoo. You never know ! there's no tables available. They're really busy over the peak time once I couldn't make it cause it was full. Food, wine and service are always pleasant. Very cozy atmosphere and French deco make it more unique. Definitely visit again, (&again).

The Beef Bourguignon was excellent but not as good as the Chicken & Chorizo linguine (superb flavour and large portion). Staff conversational and attentive although there was a delay with the "Ice cream instead of Chantilly cream on the Crepe" request, arrived after a few goes.

We had wonderful food and the service was extremely good, this restaurant is an oasis of calm. Instead of feeling that you are in a busy english city it fools you into believing you are in a lovely bistro in France.

I've been here numerous times previously, a little disappointed this time around as the mains and wine were great but the starters were quite poor. We had the specials which was garlic mushrooms and scampi which weren't to our liking. Overall it wouldn't put me off going again as everyone has an off day!!

I ate here a few months ago and was so impressed that I decided to take my parents as an early Mothers Day treat for them both. The staff are really nice and the Sunday lunch menu is one of the roasts I've ever had. Definitely a favourite!

Disappointing visit! Food was fairly good. On arrival it took conversations with 3 members of staff to confirm our booking and seat us at a table. Service was slow throughout, to the point we had to ask for dessert menus, although once ordered food was reasonably prompt. After our initial order we were not asked if we wanted any further drinks at any point during our meal. There were a good number of empty tables and staff around so no excuse that they were too busy to attend to our table. I can't see that we would return again any time soon.

Le Mistral is a convenient place for us to meet friends, as we were coming from Leeds and our friends from south Leicestershire. We had a lovely meal, in a relaxing atmosphere and were not rushed to vacate the table. Thanks to the staff who made it a great experience.
