Le Mistral - Nottingham

Definitely one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. I can't recommend it highly enough. Can't wait for my next visit. The food was amazing, staff were friendly and helpful and the ambiance was quite nice. Definitely 10/10 for food, service and quality of experience. 😆😆

Le Mistral is a lovely cozy restaurant which I visited in April 2017, the staff are all really nice & the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

Duck was lovely. Mussels tasty but cold. Lamb undercooked but sent back and cooked again from fresh and was good. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Great food, excellent service at good prices. I'll be back with friends. Child friendly and very aaccommodating when friends joined the orginal party. A Hidden gem.

It would have gotten a five if the burger had arrived with a. Cheese on it and b. hot bacon as opposed to straight from the fridge. However, that aside, the waiting staff handled the situation very well and the other three dishes arrived without fault.

Great food, good service. The lunchtime set menu is amazing value, the restaurant has a lovely chilled atmosphere and the fact that it was quite busy on a Thursday says it all.

The food is great and the service is A+. Been there 3 times and will continue going. Definitely recommend. Great place to go to :)

The starter we had (Pate) was clearly not value for money at £5.95. One thin slice of pate, a few salad leaves and a little bread, not toast or similar. Staff were nice and friendly. Main courses arrived straight after starter, wish we had asked them for 10/15 mins between courses.

My girlfriend and I had a great evening, at this restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was even better. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves French dining.

Staff were nice and friendly, however the food took far too long to arrive. we left before we received our main courses after waiting around 1 hour after our shared starter of baked camembert had been finished. we had theatre tickets which the staff were made aware of when we first arrived as we were told we could only have the table for 25 minutes. will not be returning

We were welcomed by the staff who were friendly and efficient. The range of specials added to the menu choice and we enjoyed the wine served perfectly chilled.

Booking made for 6 people but 5 people on the day, change of table to suit restaurant which was not a problem. We were a group meeting up and the staff gave us plenty of time to chat, we were not hurried. Service very good, attentive but not overly so. We got all we requested straight away. No waiting or forgetting. Food very good had 2 course lunch offer. Very tasty, well presented and very much enjoyed. We have been before and will be back again. Very good.

We were seated by the window downstairs, which was nice except when customers came in the door and we kept getting a blast of cold air from outside. Also, we were near the bar where the staff were mainly standing around, and felt that that there was quite a lot of activity and footfall around us. Another time, we would request to sit upstairs, or away from the door. However, the staff were extremely attentive and efficient and we never had to wait long to order or have the plates cleared, or to pay. The food was very good and tasted freshly cooked. The portions were not that large, but adequate. The dishes we had were very rich and creamy (Fricassee do Poulet, Linguine au Poulet et Chorizo) so we were glad we ordered extra vegetable portions as side dishes. The desserts were good, but we were surprised to be charged an extra £2 for a scoop of ice cream instead of the crème fraiche with one dessert. Overall we enjoyed the experience and will come again. Good value with the fixed price lunch.

Great food. Lovely atmosphere. Staff really helpful. Only issue would be ladies toilets a little dated could do with some updating. But otherwise a really lovely place. Would visit again

Excellent. Need to chill out with the salt & pepper on the steak though. Took our friends the next day. The white bait is great. One of our new favourites.

Fantastic restaurant tucked away from the high street. Excellent value for 2/3 courses before 5pm. Tasty food, lovely ambience and excellent service!!! Will definitely eat here again.

Love this restaurant. Went for lunch on Saturday 22nd April with a friend. She had the two course set lunch which is great value and I had coq au vin off the specials board which was divine. The staff are lovely and I thoroughly recommend this little corner of France.

The restaurant service was amazing the restaurant is tucked and and was quiet on a Monday but that a good atmosphere anyway, the food is the most exquisic food I have ever tasted making the night the experience was phenominal

All prices maybe a couple of quid too high for quality tbh. Very nice ambience though, and friendly helpful staff. More of a Spanish feel than French on our night there!

Me and my girlfriend went there on Valentine's Day, and it was fantastic! The mood was just right (with some cracking French music), the food was delicious, and the service great! (Particularly as my girlfriend has a nut allergy and they were really helpful and quick in finding out which foods were alright to eat). Would highly recommend!

As usual, it was good. I always go to Le Mistral if I am meeting anyone for lunch in Nottingham. Food and service are excellent and the atmosphere is lovely.

This restaurant is tooked away in a little court yard. Excellent service very attentive but not intrusive, wide ranging menu at reasonable prices. Food was very good and nicely presented. Friendly and welcoming, would not hesitate to recommend.

Overall a nice lunch but there was a long wait from starter to the main course this is the only reason I have marked five. Le Mistral is definatley worth visiting and is good food and good value.

Nice little place, very French. Huge menu and plenty of specials on the board.. However.. Food took a while to arrive and they brought mains before starters!.. Was all sorted in the end and the food was very good. Decent value too. Just lacked a little atmosphere in my opinion.

Excellent food, excellent service in a quiet and almost secret location. Very happy to have found it. It's an old building too which is quite unusual in Nottingham.

I had duck and orange starter, fella had calamari; delicious! Mains: I had beef berginoff (can't spell, but you know what I mean!) ,fella had mussels with cream. He said it was the best ever! Excellent food and service. I highly recommend this restaurant and will visit again shortly. Thank you

Very easy booking system. The restaurant was lovely, staff friendly and excellent customer service. As for the food, excellent value combined with taste perfection and good sized portions. My only regret is not having room for a pudding!

From arriving to leaving, replenished and happy, the experience at Le Mistral, Nottingham, was first class. The staff were attentive without pressure; the food was excellent - rarely has a medium steak been so perfectly medium - and the ambience perfect for the occasion. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The atmosphere was lovely but unfortunately let down by the service of one of the waitresses, being overcharged and we had to send one of the bowls of mussels back as they were overcooked. However! The other bowl was LOVELY!
