their was no real atmosphere in the restaurant, the lighting was too bright. the food was over cooked and tasteless. However staff were helpful. not good sorry
Lovely atmosphere, always great food with good selection and really good value. Would definitely recommend for couples or friends and will be back there soon.
Lovely food, freshly prepared and piping hot despite us being seated upstairs. A good wine selection, attentive service and not overly expensive. Would return next time in Nottingham.
Attentive friendly service in a relaxing environment with top drawer food! Not pretentious like so many restaurants in Nottingham. Fantastic and not over priced either.
Friendly helpful staff. Pleasant ambience and tasty well-prepared food. Reasonable wine choices and excellent coffee. Would go again. This was pre-theatre and was ideal for us.
Great service and great food. Food was served in a really friendly and efficient way with just enough time between courses. We left full but not uncomfortable. The food itself was cooked really well.
To begin with the menu looked wonderful, innovative & fresh but the two starters we had were dreadful. Mine was figs & goat’s cheese. There was one very small fig cut in half with the smallest piece of cheese on each half. This was baked. The dressing was minimal. At the most there were six bites before it was finished. My husband’s dish was avocado moose in a ramekin - which actually was puréed avocado - with three very small strips of smoked salmon hanging over the side. The dishes cost £6.50 each. Just dreadful. My main dish of hake was good but again my husband’s ‘Special’ hake dish with a lemon & pea risotto was totally tasteless. He asked for a portion of the sauce that was on my dish to make it a little more interesting. We had had a Kia Royal to start the meal & a bottle of wine & the bill came to over £80. Just not good enough. The chef needs to look at the food that is being served & make it worth the money both in quality & presentation. At the end of the meal my husband, who is not a big eater, was still hungry. A very, very disappointing evening.
Great atmosphere and good service. Worth seeking out when you are next in Nottingham. Food choice really good and house wine top notch for taste and value
Food was good but place was freezing cold was going to keep my hat and coat on. Wouldn’t recommend restaurant until the weather picks up or they turn the heating on.
Our first trip to Le Mistral in Nottingham City. The staff were great and really accomodating but the food was disappointing. Nice evening but expensive for what it was.
Great food friendly staff and really good value for the money. We are all had different started and mains and all were happy. Too full for desert we will return.
Nice restaurant in Nottingham. The food was good but definitely had better French food. The staff were nice but they didn’t pay as much attention to us as to bigger groups and we waited a fair bit for our food. We would go back though.
A pleasant evening - food was good not amazing. Overall we had a good evening. Service was good. Restaurant quite difficult to find in the dark.
This was my second visit and I love it. Beautiful ambience, great food, friendly service and it really does feel like you are in France.
Nice and warm when I visited on the 5th February, one of the coldest days of the year. A very pleasant girl in charge, I was made to feel welcome while waiting for my friend to arrive. Both our meals were lovely. I have visited several times before and have never had any complaints. Nice rooms, relaxing atmosphere, decently priced food. Lovely.
Went today and was disappointed compared to our visit there last year. Beef was very tough and there was no home made Yorkshire pudding this time.
Excellent food, friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices and a good wine list. We enjoyed a very pleasant evening with good service in pleasant surroundings.
Whole experience was very rushed staff attitude very poor talking loud in Spanish across the small restaurant while one was eating dinner and the other behind the bar will not be going back anytime soon☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
It was very cold inside which was a shame but the food was lovely as always. Staff are all very friendly too. One of our favourite places.
Excellent food, wine and particularly the service as always, just how a restaurant should be! Thank you. Such a relaxed atmosphere ad no rush to finish
WAITED NEARLY A HOUR BETWEEN STARTER AND MAIN COURSE. ONLY 3 OTHER TABLES IN USE SO WASN'T BUSY. WAITRESS VERY FRIENDLY. WON'T BE VISITING AGAIN
We had a great experience and a lovely meal at our first visit to Le Mistral. The staff were warm and friendly and made the whole afternoon a joy. Thank you.
Lovely meal. Would recommended. Confit duck, and mussels for starters, went down very well! Nice experience. House white wine very good. Vv vv vv vv
Excellent food and service. We went for a special occasion and had a great night which we all really enjoyed. We will be back again soon
Excellent service, delicious food....well worth a visit. This lovely restaurant is tucked away in a courtyard off Nottingham Wheeler Gate....discover it and enjoy! Interesting menu including specials dishes.
Lovley place good food & nice atmosphere. Went for lunch menu was well priced...Will definitely go back and try the Evening menu. Was busy but food still came quickl.
This restaurant made my boyfriend's 21st, it was cosy, friendly and delicious. The service was great, the food was quick and also was amazing! Would recommend this and will certainly be back! Thank you!
Really like it here, food is always good and the waitress was so lovely and didn't stop smiling.
Food was amazing and service was great. I can recommend the moules frites washed down with a couple of Meteor lagers. Also the baked camembert sharing platter was amazing.
A lovely relaxed cosy atmosphere with yummy food! We really enjoyed our evening at Le Mistral & recommend it to all. The service was great too! We will definitely be going back! 😊
Go there often because it has great food with a good choice on the menu. The service is always good with pleasant staff. It has small cosy rooms which makes for a great ambience.
It's a quite authentic French restaurant nestled in the heart of Nottingham. Lovely food. Very nice staff. The lunch menu is good value for money.
Had a great night. Lovely service and as usual great food. Still one of my favourite restaurants. Even tho a quiet Monday we enjoyed our time.
Excellent food and service. Would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant. Quite the hidden gem in the centre of town. If you have not tried it it's a must
Le Mistral is one of our favourite city restaurants and my partner and I are fairly regular patrons. We had a very pleasant evening with 3 friends. Attractive ambience, excellent food and pleasant helpful service.
The restaurant was a little oasis hidden away in a quiet courtyard and it provided a welcome break from rushing around the shops. Good food and service.
Lovely food could not fault a thing about my experience. Will definitely be returning. We was greeted with a warm welcome and the waitress couldn't do enough for us
Staff were good, food good, glad we didnt arrive later as tables who did were tild that not everything in the menu was stull available
Excellent service each and every time we visit Le Mistral The quality of the food is exceptional for the menu cost and is therefore great value Thank you so much
Would have given a six had they had some Calvados! However the meal and service were both excellent with a friendly atmosphere and attentive staff.
