Loks Bar & Kitchen

Service was quick. Aperol spritz want great, not enough aperol. I ordered gluten free and dairy free for both courses and once I had started eating my fries was told "actually the fried aren't gluten free" I was shocked. For me to specify this twice and it be disregarded was terrible.

Service was quite slow. We sat for 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken. Waited a little longer before food order was taken. Dined here before... my husband and son’s food was lovely. My beef cheek was tough?! Chocolate Brownie was awful, thank goodness my husband ordered the Cheese Platter which was plentiful and delicious. Three of us wolfed it down. All in all, I think we experienced an “off night”. Food and service is normally fantastic.

We found the staff to be Friendly and efficient. The surroundings were pleasant. The Food was good value for money. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Great place. Lovely atmosphere. Menu choices good but would be great to see the return of the soup and sandwich option. Staff and service great.

Lovely food & great service.The staff were very courteous & nothing was a bother to them. One of my friends had a dairy allergy & the waiter was very helpful to her checking her requirements with the chef. Fish & chips were lovely, especially the batter on the fish-so light. We were not rushed through our meal like some places & enjoyed our night.

Friendly waiting staff gave us Lots of time to choose from menu..difficult to choose all very tempting. Good was very good all left happy. One comment crumble must be served with custard

We had a delicious lunch with great service. The restaurant is very family friendly & has good gluten free options. We will definitely be back.

An enjoyable meal,especially liked the beef flank & the coconut & miso arctic roll. The service was good even though it was busy & the staff were efficient & attentive. Thank you we all had a great evening.

The staff were very helpful and polite and the interior of the restaurant is spacious and bright. My friend and I completely lost track of the time and spent many hours over our lunch and at not time were we made to feel we had outstayed our welcome.

The food and service was excellent in a great setting. Had a drink in the bar which was also very nice. We will definitely be back.

First time for an evening meal. Booth table for 8 was a bit tight seating wise. However, everyone enjoyed their meal with excellent service and a good atmosphere in a busy restaurant. Everyone would go back.

AS always food and service was brilliant. Love coming to Loks, local, lovely and lush!! The pate is my favourite starter and my new favourite main is the Chicken Salad.

We've been to Loks a few times now and have always had delicious, filling food that was also good value. Staff are friendly and helpful too.

great food and menu choice - set menu 2 courses £16 great value - food was delicious. there is also amazing choice on the main menu and they do special deals during the week . staff are always friendly and offer great service. would certainly recommend loks.

Lovely food and good price but the only bad point was paying £7.80 for a glass of wine, even in town you dont pay that. I can understand why it was very quite drink prices to much. A pity has everything else was great

Had a lovely dinner. The menu is varied with lots of lovely dishes. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed their choices. Decent wine list and great cocktails. Can recommend the smoked haddock and beef cheeks.

Staff very friendly, food and menu choice great. In our group we had a vegetarian and a dairy free so to have this all clearly marked out on the menu was perfect for them. If you could add in an afternoon tea that could be vegetarian and have dairy free options we would visit more.

Four of us visited for lunch and as always were not disappointed. I have a poor appetite and the haddock goujons are perfect for me. Service was excellent and all four enjoyed the meal

Pleasant evening with friends in this local restaurant. Had a nice main course of smoked haddock and would recommend the Wine we had Franchoek Chenin Blanc. Service good.

Been twice in one week. Meals and service both excellent and very reasonably priced. Food much higher standard than other local bars. Definitely go back soon

The shredded chicken was more like chicken mini fillets and flat bread was a burger. Tasted okay though just not what was expected. The staff were really friendly as always.
