We have been customers for many years and always enjoy the good food. The service is always attentive without pressure and there is a convivial atmosphere.
I really enjoyed everything about the place. From the decor, to staff, and of course the food, everything was excellent. I had the duck, along with some dumplings and want to go back this week, that is how good everything was.
Had been a few times over the past 2 years. Always busy and last night was no exception. Loads of customers waiting. It is easy to see why - efficient, prompt and courteous service. The food..................sensational. This place is maybe, a little known gem. If in this area and even if you're not, make your way for an unbelieveable experience. I am fortunate it is only 1 mile away. A truly dining experience.
It's always a delight to go to Maxim's. We have tried many Chinese restaurants and we keep on going back to Maxim's and then wondering why we go anywhere else. The sizzling lamb I had was cooked to perfection with wonderful flavour. Lovely evening.
Went for 70th birthday dinner. First waiter was sullen and shrugged his shoulders when asked a question. Other waiters were lovely. Food very good. Waited quite a long time for my credit card to be taken. Popular restaurant. Good decor.
Busy Friday so service slower than usual. Food far too salty. Chicken starter rubbery. Pork and cabbage main mostly noodles. Had to ask for our change. Unspecified service charge added but per centage scratched out by hand. Not impressed - seem more interested in money than service. Bit disappointing as someone who has been a regular customer for decades.
Been here a few times now. Each time the service is as good as the last. Food excellent as always. Can't wait for my next visit.
First time @Maxims Great atmosphere very nice helpful staff. Delicious starter and main crispy duck was splendid . Prepared well. Highly recommend. And defiantly return again soon .
My family were staying in this area as part of my husband's 60th birthday celebrations. My husband and I used to frequent this restaurant when we lived in the Ealing area which was some 28 years ago at least! We were not disappointed - the food was as good as ever. Service was good and staff friendly and efficient. All made for a great celebratory evening.
Great food tasty and hot. Staff were a bit slow yesterday which is not normal. The restaurant was a bit too cold for me and could be warmer and had it been I would have stayed longer.
Food is great and reasonably priced. Service is not bad exactly but there were a couple of mistakes with the order - if the service was as good as the food this place would be faultless.
The meal was excellent and enjoyed by all. We had returned to Maximes for a 50th Birthday Patty after an absence of 20 years and the food was as good as we remember
Birthday celebrations with family- great food & atmosphere, & great service as well. This is always a very popular restaurant, and is always great quality
Delicious food, quick service and well priced. Very busy, would recommend booking before turning up, especially at the weekend. Only downside was that there was one choice of beer on the menu, lots of other drinks though!
As usual, the service was excellent and the food amazing. Favourite restaurant by a mile! Been going to this place for nearly 40 years and it just gets better.
Excellent. ..although cokes were rather flat!...food excellent although a bit oily ..prevented a top score of 6...I used to eat here yeas ago..was actually better then...seems to have changed a bit..
This is a really first class restaurant. On an extremely hot night it was an oasis of cool, civilised, great service and fine food. We lingered over our excellent meal and botttle of wine for two happy hours. Maxim is an Ealing institution and a top class one.
Nice and spacious restaurant. Tasty and fresh food. Good service. Able to order dishes that are not on the menu. Would def go back again.
I had a lovely with my friends for my birthday and the food was lovely and the service too. I booked it before and was seated at the back of the restaurant with the nice moving table.
The food was excellent but the service was poor the food was served to the table but no plates were there which we had to ask for and the coffee was cold
Have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years, a decline in service and food quality which is a shame, disappointing would not return
Excellent and the food was very delicious and good. Definately a very good experience with maxims and highly recommeneded to anyone fancy peaking duck. Keep it up.
Great food👌 Perfect service Kids also love the food! Best place to celebrate birthday whatever the age! The restaurant is beautiful and ambiance is very pleasant, the staff make you feel very special!
Great food & atmosphere- one of the best local restaurants and great for a family celebration or a night out just the two of you
excellent service and great food, it was a great experience for all the family ,i would recommend to anybody .the round table adds to the experience.
We went to Maxim’s for the first time in probably 30 years! The menu is a mixture of the traditional Chinese cuisine and some beautifully flavoured unusual dishes. The waiter service was stand-offish at first, suggesting that they are probably used to familiar regulars but eventually, they were warm and attentive. We didn’t feel rushed to finish, which made this a wonderful evening all in all.
Another great meal with family at Maxims, the service felt a bit slow...as it was busy. They could have more staff on Fridays. Would highly recommend the "Sweet Chilli Beef"; the best in West London
Good food and nice atmosphere Very fast though felt like we were rushing to eat our food Staff were very friendly Chicken was very chewy and fat
As there were six of us, we opted for one of the set menus to keep things simple. What great value it was, a veritable feast for under £28 per head: a huge hot platter to start, followed by top-notch crispy dusk and accoutrements, then a range of terrific chicken, fish and beef dishes with lovely green beans and special fried rice. Much as we wanted to, we couldn't finish it all and had to ask for "doggy bags". Finally, a plate of toffee apple fritters appeared and we managed somehow to find a little room to down a few of them. As always at Maxim, the service was excellent and the place was buzzing. It's easy to see after all these years why it's still a local favourite.
Great meal as always here at Maxim. Food, service and prices are all great. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Often see the same people eating here, which is a good sign for me.
Excellent food, excellent service, great atmosphere - everything you want from any restaurant! Best Chinese food in the area - cant think why anyone would want to go anywhere else!
Very standard quality food. Chicken was very salty and would not visit again. Duck starter was best dish we had but for the price point not the quality id expect
Food was average service was rushed and management were in a hurry to get the table back. The service didn't match the price of the food.
Love this restaurant and love the food. Only problem this time was that there was a large family next to us with uncontrolled, screaming very young children who made it too loud to hear anyone speaking on our table. Even worse, the children decided to throw food at other customers with no one in their family stopping them.
Good food, good ambience, good service. Reasonable price. Staff are attentive. Food portion is reasonable for the price we paid. Went there for a work dinner.
Maxim's is great! Excellent food and great menu choices - will even let you order off the menu. Family friendly restaurant. Staff are really attentive. Will go back soon!
Visited on a cold and snowy Friday evening but the place was still full of diners with lots of family groups escaping the weather. I often have their delicious spare ribs for my starter as they are always so meaty, tasty and satisfying. The chicken, green pepper and black bean main was less impressive, mainly because the chicken was rather pale and rubbery which is unusual for Maxim's. My veggie partner had a fried tofu starter which she liked a lot with some pak choi, mushrooms and egg fried rice to follow. The meal was accompanied by a nicely chilled bottle of pinot grigio. This is a very popular long-established neighbourhood restaurant with efficient business-like service although some might find it all a bit impersonal. The food and ambiance are consistently good and bills are reasonable however.
Food was very good, service was very good. Restaurant was cold but as we were there when they had just opened that could be why.
Food superb and great service. Loved the decor as well. Would certainly recommend the restaurant to friends ..... A happy Chinese New Year to all the staff
Great Chinese food in a lovely friend atmosphere. Their crispy chilli beef and sweet and sour chicken are amazing. They also always have the toffee apple with seasame seed dessert and vanilla ice cream that I love! 💗 Top score for Maxim!
