Food and service both great and 3 course set menu good value for money in a relaxed environment. I fully recommend the raspberry Bellini cocktail!

The food was perfectly adequate and suited our family group of mixed ages/tastes. The staff were lovely. I thought the service was a little slow though and that the staff were not quite attentive enough. I really liked the decor and ambiance. Not too formal but good for a special occasion.

Went for brunch. The food was good although not amazing, but the space was not as busy as other local cafés, which was very nice. Service was good and fast, and they provided a high chair for our baby. All in all we had a nice time and would come back, especially given that we can book ahead (almost impossible for brunch in Crouch End).

Melange is a favourite restaurant venue of ours family for get togethers early evenings, or pre cinema meals. Excellent food and great cocktails. Good customer service & helpful staff.

Good food, three of us had a lovely night. It was busy on a Monday but service was still really good and we got everything we needed.

Cosy restaurant. Diverse menu. Attentive and friendly service. It is possible to have light mains and mix these with the starters. We enjoyed our dinner and glass of wine. Limited vegetarian choices.

Less varied menu than a year ago. Food is reasonably good but quite small portions on the two courses for £12.95 menu. Service charge appears a bit high.

We are regular customers at Melange and it has not disappointed yet. Food is simple but very good; the menu doesn't change much but there is a reasonable choice and the service is excellent.

It's a great place and the menu is straightforward and appetising. The only negative note was just how crowded and therefore noisy it was at 8.45 when we arrived. The waiting staff seemed too few and terribly rushed for such a crowd. They did get part of our order wrong, which I think reflected the pressure they were under. They were very apologetic and produced the correct dish very quickly. But definitely not the place to go if you want a conversation with your companion on a Saturday night

Love this restaurant. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The ambience is relaxing and cosy, not pretentious. The food is flavoursome, there is a varied choice and good value.

I've walked past several times before but never visited. I decided to take my mum there on mother's day, to try somewhere local. The food was delicious and the service was warm and friendly. I'll definitely be visiting again.

The food and service was very good, thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go again! I had the Mediterranean Seafood stew which was yummy! The bread was delicious too by the way!

A really lovely restaurant! We both had fillet steak which was perfectly cooked and delicious, as well as a great bottle of Malbec. The staff here are really good too, friendly and efficient. Looking forward to going to Melange again.

Enjoyed a very nice meal from set Valentine's Day menu. Unfortunately my side dish was forgotten but as a gesture of good will we were given a complimentary side and coffees. Plus service charge was waived. So we left very happy and will return again soon.

The restaurant is not as big as I imagined from pictures I saw on the website, but it was not too small. The seats are not too squashed. The lights were too dim for reading the menu, especially when you forget to bring your glasses and in the evening. But the food were very good, all of us enjoyed our dishes, sea bream, rib eye steak and sirloin steak. I ordered prawns as my appetisers but I could not believe it they just cooked the whole prawns with shells on and with the gut still in! I was a little disappointed that the menu does seem as exciting as they make you believe from their website or facbook page. But we were all happy with our food.

I know this restaurant quite well. On this occasion, the service was a bit slow, probably because they were pretty busy and the dish that I had was good but not as good as when I've had it previously. However, this won't stop me from going back.

Melange is a popular and favourite restaurant to visit in Crouch End. Excellent steaks and seafood with friendly and attentive service. We had starter, main meal and two bottles of wine between four, which worked out at £35 each.

Steaks were great. Sea bass a bit fussy service very good but we won't ask for anything off menu again Lovely warm place. Busy and noisy but in a good way.

Lively but intimate restaurant with excellent service and fabulous food. The steak in particular was terrific, and our Icelandic Head Waiter was a perfect host - definitely recommended, but book ahead!

Very good service, atmosphere and tasty food. Only disappointments: pickled olives instead of properly preserved in olive oil or brine, a very poor and unimaginative, too pricy dessert (apple tart).
