Excellent Crouch End eaterie with a pleasant 'buzz'. A relatively short menu with a broad European focus but none the worse for that. Dishes for our party of four were all well presented and well received. Sensibly priced wine list and good, friendly service.

The atmosphere, staff, and food were all very good! I recommend the sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce. All around a great experience, and would gladly recommend this spot to friends and family.

Warm welcome on arrival and excellent service throughout the evening. Menu varied and our choices were very tasty and price reasonable. Good ambience but noise levels increased when Melange filled up later making conversation difficult.

We had a wide range of dishes and everything we ordered was delicious. All the staff were very friendly. Would have liked to see some cocktails without prosecco though, as it was in every single cocktail.

Melange can always be relied on for delicious food, lovely staff and a pleasant atmosphere. It's my favourite Crouch End eatery, in spite of tough competition. I highly recommend the steak. Another plus is that the music played is enjoyable without being over bearing. You can actually have a conversation which is why I have become a regular, it's a great place to get together with friends. It is also great value for money, 2& 3 course meals are so reasonably priced. I'm a fan!

Very friendly waitress who picked up on the fact it was a birthday and added a candle to the appropriate dessert. Enjoyable food, we had the set menu. Unfortunately had run out of the steak at 8pm but the trout was excellent. We did feel the wine prices were a bit steep.

We had an enjoyable evening with lovely food, good wine and attentive service without being rushed. Definitely worth another visit when we are in the area.

Food was great and staff was really friendly and always smiling. It is a little pricey, but overall very nice. (P.s don't forget to try the La vie en rose cocktail. Amazing!)

Comfortable environment. Service could be speedier. Strange that three staff were busy eating lunch at 1.45pm whilst we were waiting for our main courses, shouldn't they be fed before service starts?! Sauces rather heavy, suggest you ask for sauce to be on the side but I know this is classic French cuisine.

Melange is a Welcoming local restaurant with consistently good food and a great atmosphere. The fish stew was excellent. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient.

Steak at Melange never disappoints. If you do not like salt very much, make sure you ask them not to put any on your chips as for me they are often over salted. Service is friendly and efficient. I went with friends who said it was the best steak they ever had. I am a regular and have never eaten anything there I did not like.

Good service on the whole . But it would have been good to have the free bottle of house wine when ordering the Thursday night steak deal for two explained before we had ordered and started a non deal friendly bottle. Making the evening more expensive than expected .

Lovely ambiance, great service, comfortable seating, decent menu, good food. Had heard a lot about the restaurant from friends and it has good reviews from open table and trip advisor. We were pleased with our choice and shall definitely return.

We went to Melange to celebrate my daughter's 12th birthday. As always, great food, great service and lovely interior. We rate it very highly and will continue going back. They put a candle on my daughter's dessert and gave it to us on the house. Love that place!

This is a very lovely restaurant. The atmosphere is cosy; every dish I have had has been well cooked, tasty and nicely presented; the service is friendly. Just don't go there please or we might not be able to book a table. OK? :)

Lovely, relaxing interior. Efficient and friendly service. Very pleasant evening socialising. Food was tasty and plentiful and what was nice is we weren't hurried off our tables for the next sitting!

Fantastic food and wonderful service. Had the set menu - absolute bargain and still no expense spared. Sage infused sauce with the stuffed chicken was divine. Gets busy Friday and Saturday so be sure to book!

A very enjoyable meal in a friendly atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the Beef Bourguignon and the Apple tart. My wife and I will definately return soon.

Nice restaurant. Very jolly atmosphere so not too quiet. Food good and reasonably priced. Helpful waiter. Busy on Saturday evening so essential to book ahead. Recommended.

we absolutley love Melange - the food is good (not exceptional) but we like it for the service and ambience. New staff (& management?) at our last visit has lost them a point as our waitress seemed to be hassled by the mangament to not spend so much time talking to us...that's the point of us going. It was not stupidly busy, we would have understoood that, but it did seem as though "running a tight ship" was more important than making us feel good about being there. Good, friendly service has always been our main reason fo going there so often - hopefully those at the top remember that!

Ate at Melange for the second time in a fortnight. Extremely impressed - with the food, and especially the service. Incredibly friendly yet efficient staff.

The sea bream dish was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself had nice decor and the staff were very attentive. I would definitely go back soon!

Excellent local 'hybrid' cleverly bridging the great divide between French and Italian cuisines. The menu features many old favourites with a nice modern twist. Pleasant staff and sensibly priced. Tables are extremely small!

Excellent food and service, very child friendly. Excellent for lunch when guests are visiting Crouch End. The lunch set menu is very good value, we shared three starters and had the sirloin and duck for lunch, everything was fantastic.

Because of the Daylight Savings Time, the staff called me to double check my booking time and ensured we had a table saved correctly. The service was impeccable and the food was equally so. Really wonderful night, the atmosphere was excellent with 20's style swing music in the background. Will definitely be going back.

Had the steak deal of 2 steaks and a bottle of red for £40.00 - the food was lovely and the wine a treat for a house option. The restaurant was busy and lively and the staff were excellent. Would go again.

Excellent food and great service. Throughly enjoy by our party of 6. Could do with finger bowls when serving finger food such as prawns that need peeling. Only thing.

As usual the service was charming. The soup was slightly over seasoned - a bit heavy on the chilli. The steak was excellent and the wine very acceptable. A good evening all round

The food is good - lovely menu and easy to choose - Not stuffy at all. The service was perfect and can totally recommend also as parking was not such a problem.
