It was almost empty but our meals were ok waitress very good

I just liked the place. Large & dining area with lots of round tables which I find more social. The waitress was superb and the food delicious. I had sea bass, one of our party had the steak and raved about it. Would definitely recommend.

Food, excellent staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Will not be too long before we return.

My friend and I enjoyed two courses from the set menu. We both had bruschetta followed by pasta, but I had the vegetarian options. Staff are welcoming and attentive. We shared a bottle of Chardonnay, which is the cheapest wine, but goes well with the Italian choice of food. We finished with cocktails from the 2 for £14 deal. The cocktails are exceptionally good.

Last minute decision to have a Sunday lunch for2. The atmosphere was quiet and calm and the service was attentive. The starter was very generous (paté) The roast beef was nice enough but sauces were very minimal portions. Yorkshire pudding was a bit tough.

Had to change dining time from 6.15pm to 7.15pm but accommodated it well. Courtney served us ...very nice and professional, nice girl. Our 4th visit and will certainly come again. Looking forward.

1st the drinks ? We ordered 2 old fashioned and they had no flavour and just mainly water at a cost of £8.95 2nd was the starters. I ordered the goats cheese with poached pear. This was a died in colour pear and raw. The almonds on top were burnt My partner had chicken liver pate, served as 3 piped poops on cucumber with a baby food like apple chutney puree. Raw red cabbage and carrot to accompany.strange combination and tastes. Not pleasant to look at or eat. 3rd Main course, I ordered linguine Bolognese. This came in a big dollop of pasta an sauce on a plate that looked like they opened a tin of Heinz spag Bol emptied it on a plate and warmed up 🙄🙈 this was not nice and at a price of £16. My partner ordered Carbonara. While the spag Bol came out piping hot, the carbonara was cold. This was communicated and taken back to the kitchen. Returning no warmer but with burnt pancetta. Same dish just microwaved. Nuked enough to burn the bacon but not enough to be hot when it reached the table. Strange taste. Nothing like carbonara at all. Very disappointed. Finally the 4th Desert !! Creme caramel. And it was very nice No issues at all I could of licked the bowel clean. 😊 Overall a very disappointed experience. We will not be going back here.

Wasn’t my first visit. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. They give you time to settle and order. The food is excellent and the service is excellent also.

Paid extra for Lamb which was tough and overcooked. Usually a good meal but today was not the best for most of us.

Lovely restaurant delicious food nice and hot and beautifully presented

We visited yesterday for Mother’s Day. It was very busy, but all of the menu was available. The food was hot and delicious and a great price for 3 courses. They accommodated my son’s sensory requirements of having his meatballs without sauce. The atmosphere was lovely.

Waitress was run off her feet as there was a funeral gathering in the bar and more staff should have been there. This resulted in long waits for service.

Another enjoyable and tasty visit to Olivers we will be back again.

It is a good try have a meal in these lovely restaurant. Recommand to everyone.

Great to have this restaurant local. We each had the two course lunch, enjoying different starters and mains. Service and staff are very good. I’d like to see better vegetarian choices, but it’s okay as an occasional visit. The two non meat eaters enjoyed good portions of fish & chips and steak pie.

Excellently cooked, presented and served food. Pleasant comfortable ambiance of the restaurant as a whole.

First I will say that the staff were wonderful, I was quite picky with my meal but they were very accommodating. But it took ages to get the meal. It was at least 45 minutes because this is when I looked on my watch. I don’t get it!
