Great food and great service and good value for money

Best tasting curries we've had on this and our previous visit. Good service, apologised for us having to wait for our starters and gave us free Poppadoms to compensate. Very reasonably priced for Edinburgh City centre. Highly recommend

First visit here. Myself and two friends came for a meal before a show at the Playhouse. The restaurant was spotless, the waiters were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious! We were given a complimentary Baileys after our meal, too! Great wee place and we'll definitely visit again!

Friendly staff, very knowledgeable and food was great ,very satisfied would recommend.

As always, the staff are wonderful - attentive, and patient - we were quite a big group paying on separate bills, and they accommodated well. And, as always, the food was wonderful - delicious.

Visit Edinburgh every year and this is our set Saturday night venue! Lovely food, plenty of it and well priced, and friendly staff make you feel really welcome. Look forward to being back next year!

Behind the humble exterior lies a restaurant that provides not only amazing food but fantastic service. I had the sizzler for my main course and it’s definitely one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Painfully slow service!!! Wiuld nly recommend - thought the pre theatre would be quick but main course took 1.5 hours to arrive! Bill was also incorrect.

Wouldn't be my first choice of Indian restaurant in Edinburgh but very convenient for theatre and meeting people and will use agsain

We had to query the bill. We were charged for popadoms and pickles and spiced onions when it was part of the pre-theatre menu. They did take it off the bill no problem.

Food was tasty but as it got cooler, it did start tasting very salty...too much I think.

Food is great, staff friendly. Only thing i'm not happy with is that the toilets are downstairs & there's not a disabled one at all & being disabled found having to use the stairs very difficult as there narrow & windy.

We were waiting on the bill for ages, despite there only being 4 other tables. They even started cleaning our table before we left before the bil arrived. We also weren't offered dessert after food.

The food was of excellent quality and very authentic to true Indian food not the usual tourist fare. Very amiable and friendly waiter.

Never judge a book by its cover! Had a table at 9pm and the place was near empty... on a friday... But what can i say.. food was amazing ( except the haggis samosas but not a game changer) Still.. its now become a favorite! Will be going

The visit was great, the staff were very accommodating to my food allergies. Wait time was good until it got busy and then we found we were rushing for our show. We had to ask for dessert menu, we almost cancelled dessert order as it was taking too long and so we paid bill before dessert arriving so we could rush off, this was a real shame as the experience had been great until this point and our whole party enjoyed our food!

Good food but service very poor for a Saturday night waited well over an hour for meal to be served said they were busy hence the reason for delay.
