Great Pies, with a good selection. Good atmosphere and vibe in the place and really friendly staff working on the day. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Good pie. Really tasty. Great choice of beer. Service really friendly. Great ambiance. Also found out that they can do pastries for those with intolerances - if they have notice.

Really great service, great food. Staff were very helpful in storing and providing utensils for a birthday cake. Quieter atmosphere at lunch which may/may not be to a crowd's taste. Would definitely go again

never been here before. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. The menu had enough to suit everyone. I am not a vegetarian, but even those pies looked good. I had steak and ale and it was delicious 😀

Perfect food order and perfect service, will happily attend again! The reservation was all set up by the time we arrived and we were seen too at an appropriate time! Have been there over ten times and would defo return.

A nice place with good quality food and great service. The choice is just a little limited but I suppose it is called Pie and Ale!

Lovely pies! Was a abit disappointed the cheese pie had goats cheese in but there was plenty of others to choose from! Nice atmosphere and plenty of ales to choose from!

Good food had the vegan leek and mushroom pie, lovely place, nice polite staff and good value for money... what more can I say! Thanks Pie and Ale!

Get food - nice to eat somewhere where there were three different pies I could eating being vegetarian. Great that two of the pies were vegan friendly. Nice choice of beers to have with the food as well. We also had a very nice waitress/bar staff.

Service was great, pies were great, (especially the veggie choices), what wasn't great was the lack of desserts. Not 1 dessert to be found in the entire restaurant. Not ideal for those with a sweet tooth like me.

Great restaurant and bar, does what it says on the tin! Great pies, well kept ales and beers and really friendly and knowledgeable staff and quite reasonably priced too!

The pies were a disappointment. Good flavour, but pretty short on filling, with too high a ratio of pastry to content. The pastry was too solid. Nice presentation and friendly staff and the ales to choose on tap were good.

Excellent place to eat. It was a busy Friday night, there was s good vibe about the place. Our table was reserved and was soon drinking a decent pint of ale. Service was excellent and when the food came it was of a good quality. All in all a great experience in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

Pies are well crafted and have a nice and subtle taste. very good and affordable ales. There is a little too much crust to the pies though

Nice place and good food - some unusual pie fillings which were delicious. Veggie options too so not just for the meat eaters out there.

Couldn't have been more helpful. Really knowledgeable about food intolerances and veggie food. The portions are huge but gorgeous. Best cheese pie I have ever had.

Had to wait a bit for table but was very well looked after. Good was excellent and good value. Specials board also worth a look - Kangaroo Vindaloo was ordered!

Good pie and mash, satisfied a craving. Really good choice for vegetarians and vegans (surprising!). Quick service and good value for money at lunch (2-4-1 on pies).

Nice staff .. Pastry to thick on pies .. Not the cheapest place prefer pieminister for food .. Seating area comfy got a bit too loud as football had finished in the city so all fans landed in here so too rowdy for my 77 year old dad

The service was excellent, the staff were attentive but not overbearing. The food was AMAZING and the beer was fantastic! The waitress even brought out samples of the different beers for us to try first! Definitely worth going again and again!

Love this place, and I'm glad we chose here for my last night living in Manchester. Excellent pie, lots of choice (plus a few vegan options), lovely service, good range of beer.

Great food, fast friendly service and a decent price. I will definitely go back and would recommend this place to any one. My game pie was delicious and the dirty mash is a must.

This was our first visit to Pie and Ale and we took our daughter and partner there for an early evening meal. The food was really good and I would recommend the steak pie with red cabbage pie topping. The portion sizes were really generous so there was no room for any pudding. There was a good choice of ale and the wine was very reasonably priced. The staff were really friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back and would recommend this restaurant to our friends.

Amazing food and great device. Highly recommended Would go again and try different craft beers as lots to choose from and unusual and tasty dishes

Great little place in the northern quarter. Really nice and relaxed for a nice midweek lunch on our day off. Great choice of food and drink

It was a great pie, very filling. The staff were helpful as well, they even let you sample the ales to help you choose the beer to have with your pie.

Fantastic home-made venison & Stilton pie, great Yippee Pie Ale beer. My wife Caron had lamb special. Also could sneak into main bar to watch City!

What a fab place to eat. Warm,friendly staff who know their stuff. Amazing food-first class pastry to die for and magic mash/gravy too. Great location in the Northern quarter which we enjoyed. Loved it!

This was my second visit. I had a couple of friends over and thought I'd introduce them to Pie and Ale,they weren't disappointed and really appreciated the selection of beers on offer. Our server was very knowledgeable about the different ales and help us make delicious selections.

Great pies but the vegan options were a bit dry.

Very impressive. A few of the guest ales were down, but out waitress let us sample plenty of other options! The pies were brilliant as always.

Yummy pies, would have liked a little more meat inside. I had the steak pie. Great for watching live football as many screens throughout the bar and restaurant.

Was good pie bug gravy a bit weak and would be nice if it was in a jug instead of poured over. Nice beers and friendly staff.

Pie was very tasty but would have liked a little less pastry, perhaps on the top only. We were there for a late lunch - think it would be a better experience in the evening.

Friendly staff, a good selection of quality ales, free wi fi and a fantastically tasty game pie. Not too bad for a lunch break all told.

Great, friendly service in a nice and comfortable venue. The cheese pie was one of the best I've ever tasted!
