Relaxed friendly atmosphere with lovely staff. Excellent food & service, made our Anniversary feel special.

Went for mothers day again. All the food was amazing. The service as always is super friendly and welcoming. It was busy but there were no delays. Well done Portofinos!

The lovely staff and food were absolutely amazing, as always.

We were seated upstairs when it was empty and quite cold. It did sion warm up though. Our starter was garlic bread and wasn't the best, bit cold but cheese hadn't melted & crust was burnt. But pasta & pizza main was delicious. We got given someone else's bill & I think a few tables around us got tge wrong one too. But it was soon sorted

Our new go to restaurant when visiting regent theatre. Superb

Terrible - was seated upstairs with poor lighting struggled to read the menu. No Italian ambiance what so ever - (music, candles nothing) took 50 minutes for starters to arrive - which was nice but over waited at this point. A then further 40 minutes and still no mans had arrived - 1 hr 30 minutes we had sat and still waited - no explanation, no offer of drink. As we had tickets booked for theatre we had to leave so overall experience spoilt what was meant to be a lovely evening. The lady didn’t cancel our order and reimbursed for the starters but I will never go to Portofinos again.

Arrived before our theatre trip and the restaurant quite simply couldn't cope. It was full very noisy and very little food was coming out of the kitchen. We had two starters which took 40 mins and arrived after asking several times. The garlic bread was good but the bruscetta was half a burger roll that we were later told was free samples the kitchen had!! Disgusting and we didn't pay for it. We had to cancel our main meal as we would have missed the show. Totally unprepared to host pre theatre meals. Very disappointing.

The restaurant and place where lovely, didn’t get off to a good start as the starters where awful, cold mozzarella frittas missing the dip to go with them and a tomato garlic bread literally a garlic bread with chopped tomato’s on, never experienced that before in my life!! We told the waiter but he wasn’t even bothered, I wasn’t holding out much hope but the mains totally redeemed themselves, I had cannelloni and my partner had lasagna, both where gorgeous, my son had meatballs and spaghetti from the kids menu, really big portion but the spaghetti was dry and bland, probably would return if I was in the area again but wouldn’t waste my money on the starters!

Great food from an excellent menu, and an excellent service

Booked online and the menu looked very nice with good reviews. Went on valentines evening and the restaurant is lovely and the tables all had a rose and balloon which was a nice touch. However it got better. The staff were all attentive and friendly and the food was amazing. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you.

Booked this restaurant as attending a concert at the Victoria Hall so booked for 90 minutes before the start of the concert on arrival at the restaurant we were showed to the table and the order taken the drinks were delivered as expected but then nothing we waited 45 minutes no waitress or anyone came to say there was a delay finally when someone asked if everything was ok we enquired as too how long the food would be we were told 10 - 15 minutes upon which we noticed people who came in after us being served with food we said that another 15 minutes would not give us time to dine and get to the concert prior to the show starting and to cancel the order as we were leaving we got to the venue with 10 minutes to spare and hungry will never book this restaurant again Bob Cotterill

Undercooked, burnt on top, pizza arrived after 45 minutes. A partial apology, denied they’d forgotten, on Valentine’s. Not recommended.

Lovely food, attentive service. Deserve more custom...empty on Friday afternoon with no good reason- the food was delicious, portions generous and bill was about £72 for 4 x2 courses with coffee.

Started amazing, quick service and very tasty starters, however the service got slower and the restaurant staff seemed very busy. Main courses were nice. Overall a reasonable meal out.
