A very enjoyable experience. The staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgable both about the food and the wine. The food was excellent. A great night.

Exceeded our expectations: seriously good food at reasonable prices, lovely flavours and great presentation. Service very friendly and efficient, perhaps lacking that final bit of polish that would have earned a sixth star. But never mind: this is a fabulous dining experience and top of the tree in Harrogate.

Slightly dissappinted that the Autumn Taster was not available on the evening of our visit. Saying that the food, service was all exemplary and of a very high standard.

Great food and service. Helpful introduction to the menu and options available Staff offered their recommendations and the wine waiter advised on a great Italian to our with our party’s beef, duck and venison choices

The waitstaff was fantastic and such a beautiful atmosphere. The food was amazing and just the right sized portions. Great experience. We brought a friend from out of town because we think its one of Harrogate's best restaurants.

Fantastic food. Great service. The creations on the plate were stunning. The flavours were a real joy and the wine flight worked very well too. They were particularly helpful at meeting my dietary needs too. Overall a faultless food journey of wonderful tastes

A wonderful dining experience where they after you from start until finish. The food is beautiful and there is plenty of it. Simply beautiful! :-)

Good quality food also the presentation of the our meal was very well presented. We visited for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. Will definitely go back.

Nice surroundings but food disappointing- pork served more than pink . Whole experience rather pretentious. Wine very pleasant and staff keen to please but when a customer complains about rare pork don't try and argue they are wrong 🤔

Have to say one of the best places we’ve eaten in Harrogate to date. We will definitely be going back soon and introducing friends there

Amazing food and service! Wellington for 2 was unbelievably good. Cooked to perfection! Good atmosphere and service. It was our first wedding anniversary and they gave us a glass of complementary champagne. Cannot recommend it enough.

Very good food indeed but a special occasion venue for us. Wine was superb but rather pricey. Service was ok, perhaps a little slow and a bit of confusion over the “pre- dessert”. Recommended though!

Excellent service, excellent beef wellington and was genuinely surprised that the bill came out how it did. Was expecting well into the triple figures. Will definitely return to try other things on the menu.

So nice to arrive at such a professionally run restaurant. very friendly welcome, the canape were delicious and a lovely surprise the house champagne was full of flavour the duck parfait was very smooth and imaginatively served.. we had the Beef wellington which was superb and full of flavour. the spannish waiter was an asset to the business nothing too much trouble was'nt able to eat a pudding had a coffee and again a lovely surprise of petit fours will be going back. well done.

Superb meal. The Beef Wellington for two is hard to beat. Staff excellent. The Chef is superb. You won't be disappointed if you eat here.

All the service and decor you would expect for fine dining is there. The menu is sophisticated but in the end, It comes down to the quality of the cooking. For plates this complex, the balance needs to be just right. Sadly, it comes across as trying just a bit too hard. Too many elements not all of which work together and too many imbalances of flavours and textures. Just step back a little, chef, and get the basics right first please.

Relaxed decor and atmosphere with quiet, friendly, attentive service, all of which created a perfect backdrop for the original, sparky and subtle flavours of the food and wine.

Very disappointed with the level of service tonight! Very unusual!! We were virtually abandoned - left for long periods of time waiting for good and things often forgotten! Food lovely and we live this restaurant so feeling very let down!

The whole evening was excellent from the service food and wine - a great restaurant - the best in Harrogate - deserving of a Michelin star

We had a wonderful warm welcome, excellent service and a delicious meal. For me, the French onion soup was fabulous flavours and the beef wellington just melted in the mouth. The only disappointment was that I could not clear the plate! A restaurant I would not hesitate to recommend to any food and wine lover.

Table was booked for 8.30pm , we didn't get seated until after 9pm . Unfortunately service was inattentive and we had to chase bottle of water and bottle of wine we ordered . Service slow and we found ourselves eating the main course at 10.30pm !! However quality of food good

Top notch! Food great and staff second to non! We went with out daughter (3) and they were fantastic with her. We will be going again soon!

Service friendly and attentive. Menu for Sunday lunch is small and I find that reassuring that the food would be fresh. I was not disappointed. I was in a party of 3. I was hungry having just completed a half marathon. The two courses were fine for me. My wife and mother-in -law felt that the beef main course was a bit large for them, though they like it very much. This was my fourth visit (first for Sunday lunch). Would definitely go again.

Really delicious food, beautifully presented. The amuse-bouches were amazing and very creative (squid ink macarons among other things), the starter of duck terrine was very smooth and creamy and the onion soup was perfect, and the main course of beef wellington was cooked to perfection. Great food and very reasonably priced.

Was quiet because Friday lunchtime so can't really comment on atmosphere but food was amazing, wine excellent and great value for a high end restaurant and service impeccable. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

A quiet evening and chased in at 8.10 and 8.25 for an 8.30 table. All diners squashed into a front area of the restaurant presumably to create atmosphere, but instead No private conversation and a waitress bumping into my shoulder on each passing. Food good to very good. Is it worth a premium of 60% over other restaurants ? I'm not sure.

Love this restaurant. Excellent food and an overall fantastic experience. Service is second to none. If you go to Harrogate you must seek it out.

The service is top notch however the menu is slight and they had run out of steaks on a Saturday night at 8.30. Won't be visiting again

We have visited this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed . The food and service has always been exceptional . I would recommend a visit to anyone who wants the best food locally . The prices are reasonable when you enjoy the passion that has obviously gone into every dish.
