Went for my daughters 21st , first time - food and service were lovely . Lovely friendly atmosphere - we will definitely be going back .

Arrived around 8 on a saturday night and between then and 10 we had to endure 9 loud happy birthdays. Irritating and spoiling what should have been a romantic dinner. The food was great but a thumbs down for the atmosphere.

All food choices were delicious and generous portions. Service was friendly and attentive too. Saturday nights are very busy so booking in advance is recommended.

Food was ok, disappointed with the seafood spaghetti and risotto dishes....the only seafood to be found was tiny mussels. I counted 1 small prawn, my mum had none and I think one small squid per dish. Nonetheless it was tasty, good service and mostly friendly staff

Great night went with family, most of the food was good. The sirloin steak were a bit on the thin side. Would get the fillet next time, which we've had before. Plenty of variety to choose from. Would recommend.

A fantastic place. Bustling with people and the food was exceptional! Very quick, efficient service and good vale for money. Will definitely visit again in the near future.

First time of eating here. The food was very nice (lasagne). Would definelty like to visit again to try another dish. Waitress was friendly. Only down side was it closes fairly early. Table booked for 8. Following a 3 course meal it was around 10 pm and we were the only people apart from another couple left in the restaurant. Which made us feel we needed to rush off. We have since been told that they have a disco upstairs but was not told about this.

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Waiters attentive and warming. No delays in getting your food out and they waited until you were ready for the next course.

Service willing but not very slick. Our party had steak Diane which was too thick and difficult to chew, the duck was overcooked on the outside and masked by the sauce. The lamb dish was successful. Yes we should have raised these issues at the time but we were out with friends and restaurant was busy and it was not so dire as to be inedible - just not as good as we have had in the past.

Good food excellent service apart from my partner being given lobster ravioli rather than spinach when she is a vegan. Soon sorted though and apologetic

Lovely food, friendly staff and a really nice atmosphere. Can't really go wrong with this place. We're just delighted to have it as our local Italian. We'all be back again soon!

The meal was lovely, the staff so warm and friendly. They all sang Happy Birthday to my husband after the meal. It is great value for money.

Staff were lovely, warm and attentive. Starters good, San Giovanni Bruscetta and pate. Mains: Fillet steak brilliant. Only let down was that he bacon in the Amatriciana sauce was very fatty and chewy so had to be left. Overall would return though.

We found that the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was very good and there was a very good wine list. Would recommend this restaurant to anybody who hasn't been. We will definitely be returning

Been many times before, was a lovely valentines meal, food was unfaultable and service was great. Food and drink was a little overpriced though, £25 for a steak without any chips or anything is a bit steep but it was lovely anyway, will go again!!

Great food and amazing service. Only reason did not get top marks was because the pepper sauce on the steak had too much black pepper. I love black pepper but it was hot, too much so for my wife

The fidd was nice, but the service unfortubately very poor. They were given is a free slice of cake because we celebrated my partners birthday, that was a bit compromise but still very poor.

Food was lovely. Service was slow. Took a while to take our initial order and then the food was brought out at different times. When your dining together you want to eat together. It was busy but not busy enough to forgo the basics.

Food was delicious, service could have been better and more friendly. However the restaurant itself was great, nicely decorated, and as long as the food is nice i can't complain!

Have been to San Giovanni's many times before and it is a local favourite. The food is always top class, the staff attentive to customer needs and also very happy, we had a good banter with two of the staff last night which just added to the experience. Price is reasonable too. Highly recommended 😊
