4 family members, food beautifully cooked. Restaurant full. Did not give full marks because 2 of the group ordered Calamari for starter which we found too salty, everything else perfect. Staff were lovely.

As usual, everything was excellent, we love coming here. The standard never slips.

As the night progressed the restaurant quality got better, would recommend. The desert I chose was delicious and I particularly don’t really like cheesecake

Great atmosphere. Great food. You do not have to wait ages for your food to be served. Staff are very friendly. Prices are reasonable and fair.

We ordered the Meze which was absolutely delicious and served over a period of about an hour. Extremely friendly staff and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Excellent food and service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely little restaurant. Well worth a visit. Meze is great value for money. Less than £30pp for 3 bottles of wine n meze for 5. We were all full and food left over.

The food was not authentic Greek or seasoned. Very poor performance from someone that was expecting real Greek food. Although, staff where nice. Also, house wine was not nice and tasted fizzy, not worth £17 a bottle that they charged.

Great all round, with very friendly staff who always do want to ensure you know what you are eating. aubergine imam was incredible! I would hightly recommend and we will be back :-)

Friendly staff and fantastic food - a great Meze selection with every dish so tasty. The chocolate baklava dessert was also definitely worth straying from the traditional version. We will be back soon.

Excellent. Great food lovely atmosphere and staff, have the meze its amazing and loads of different tastes. Highly recommended. Must book though as it gets very busy.

Food was great, looked good and tasted amazing. The restaurant itself is so cosy and comfortable with fab table decorations. Me and my friend loved it.

Cosy, intimate, the staff are really friendly and informative, the menu was varied and authentic, the food was excellent, we are still very new to Greek cuisine, but really enjoyed it, gave them 24 hours notice we wanted the lamb as requested on the website, but everything tremendous, going back to try the Mezze on a week or two

Usual excellent (and very filling) mezzes. Great Value! Perhaps the decor and facilities could use an uplift but the food & friendly staff are great.

Amazing food and great service, would definitely recommend. The Meze is interesting and varied and the staff explain what goes well with what if you are unsure.

I've been here a number of times over the last few years, I've always enjoyed it. On this occasion I found excellent quality food, pleasant and friendly staff, reasonable proces and a clean venue. Will be back again. Highly recommended.

The food is amazing as always. Definitely the best Greek food this side of Athens - the imam bayaldi is outstanding. Friendly and efficient service too.

The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. There were 4 of us and we had 3 courses each which we don’t usually do but couldn’t resist! I recommend the Kalamari, spinach and feta parcels (I forget the Greek name) for staters and chicken slouvaki and aubergine imam combination for main. Although all our dishes, including the Meze have been excellent on previous visits. Don’t be put off by the decor on entering, this place is always busy which speaks for itself. A little bit of Greece on our doorstep. Will be back soon.

We couldn’t fault sokrates. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting excellent food, atmosphere and service. Like being in a taverna in Greece itself.

We had the meze and all courses were excellent, as was the service. The red house wine was very good - quite smooth. Would recommend the restaurant very highly.

Good food and friendly service. We were given menu advice to help us enjoy our meal. Timings were just right so we weren't rushed but also didn't wait too long between courses.
