The food in general good. However Lamb was tough. Tables not cleared after food.
Beer great, food great friendly pub what more can you ask for
Excellent food I rate this the best value for money carvery I have been to and the beer and service was also excellent will visit again thank you
Going for lunch should be a pleasant calm experience. This place is the opposite. Noisy, very cramped and has no atmosphere. The food is ok if you like your traditional British over-cooked You always get what you pay for
The experience was brilliant. I will definetely will recomend it
Lovely carvery and friendly service. Very good with our daughter who is vegetarian. Nice location.
It’s a Great cavery best around for miles love it
It was my farewell lunch. It was a little bit too hot inside, but apart for this all was good
The food is amazing at good price, excellent service recommended
The best beef ever, very tasty meal followed by lovely apple crumble. Great value for money.
Amazing food hardly any queue! 10 times better than a toby carvery!
Having never been before I was pleased with the relaxed atmosphere. The waiting time wasn't too long and the meal was delicious, also good prices too. We will definitely be coming again!
We have been regulars for some time now. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my Sunday dinner!

Great service. Great atmosphere. Food very good. Staff very efficient and friendly. Food very reasonably priced. Beer prices comparable to local urban pubs. Newly refurbished and clean.
Food very good as always and the guy who served me at the bar was very efficient and polite. Cost of carvery was amazing thank you
Fab food and atmosphere with friendly service . Food was fresh and great portions , including children’s meals. Would recommend to friends and family. Will visit again!
Lovely food very enjoyable evening. It was my husband’s birthday and a chance for all the family to get together the Staff were very helpful.
Yummy food for a great price. Homemade and very tasty. Quick service and friendly staff. My two small children had a lovely time. Good tasting ale.
Excellent pub food with a homely feeling with plenty of things going on. Not much around the pub but plenty on mooring for any size boat.
Lovely place and atmosphere and lovely food . We went as a group of 8 as often go out on a social evening . Heard about this place so thought would try . Fab , we will go back soon
Excellent lunchtime visit to the Blue Bell. Fish and chips fantastic. (Small whale) ploughmans also very well presented and was delicious. Will certainly be returning. A lot of work going on there - needs it- should be very good when completed. Great situation by the side of the canal.
Great food and drinks, very enjoyable time. Staff helpful and pleasant. There is some building work going on which will help make the place even better. Would recommend
The venue is very welcoming from both staff and customers. The Carvery was very good value but unfortunately meat and vegetables (especially the beef and roast potatoes) were far too well done. We came early so the food had only just been put out. We visited because of good reports from friends and acquaintances but I think they do actually like their meat very well done.
went to the Bluebell to celebrate my birthday, food is fantastic and the staff are really friendly.
Great lunchtime carvery buffet and extremely good value at £6 a head. Staff extremely attentive and excellent gluten free selection. My elderly mother thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Great meal, good cider. Huge meals, but very tasty. I would recommend this for simple tasty home cooked meals, and a range of ciders to suit all pakates
The Bluebell Cider House is your typical narrow boat pub. There are no airs and graces here, but the food is excellent and portions generous. It is nice to see the chef(s) walking around and handing out meals and chatting to customers too, offering a friendly family atmosphere!
We booked in advance which proved a good idea. We had a little wait for the meals but we did not mind as we chatted. The food which looked appetising when it arrived was hot and tasty, the only thing was we were so full after the mains we could not manage a desert ! Will certainly go again.
Have eaten here a few times, excellent fish and chips and liver and onions. Some people in our group weren't so happy with their meals. Reasonable prices and large portions. I'd go again.
Nice ale and good food. Could do without the television being on - they are always a bit of a distraction and conversation killer! Would definitely recommend this pub!
Superb meal. Superb service. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.
Good, honest pub grub at an affordable price - can particularly recommend the faggots, chips and mushy peas! It’s not restaurant type dining. You eat at tables in the pub. It’s very unpretentious. A nice atmosphere!
Lovely pub with amazing food! I had the beef stew which was very, very tasty, and also had some of my granddaughters mashed potato - well, she wasn't eating it all! - and it was some of if the best mash I have ever had. The rest of the party all really enjoyed the food and I will be back, with my other half! Whilst taking our orders we were told there would be a delay on the food but it wasnt that long at all - lot quicker than it's taken in many other restaurants and pubs. Definitely recommend this pub for atmosphere and food!
