Great pinot far from the town' out in the counryside good food good location by the canal friendly service will be going back there soon
Brilliant as always food xceptional staff wonderful helpful and friendly can't do enough for you at anytime would recommend always . If you can't see hat you want they will try and do for you
The service and the food was excellent. Shall be back again soon . Lots of people of all age groups nice to see the elderly there too x
Unpretentious pub, excellent location next to canal, good value prices - we enjoyed the Senior Special at £7.75 for 2 courses. Good range of ales. What's not to like?
It was Saturday night and they seemed rather busy. They seemed short-staffed behind the bar and it was a bit chaotic. Whilst the menu is nothing special, the food was excellent.
This is a great pub with friendly staff and a good selection of fab pub food. Great to be able to sit outside next to canal on a warm evening ...... will definitely go back.
Went for a drink but didn't stay. More a pub that does food rather than a food place. No tables laid up, looked dirty inside, smells coming from the kitchen dominated by deep fat frier.
Great food, lovely friendly staff, although very busy we were served quickly at the bar and we experienced a fast efficient service at the carvery, would highly recommend.
Beautiful canalside location in need of updating and cleaning. Toilets always are the mark of a place - and these need locks on the doors and regular cleaning. Old school location that could improve greatly. Food basic. Menus sticky...!
Good food and tasty cider. I had a yummy tandoori chicken salad and my husband had vegetarian chilli. Friendly staff and good efficient service. Will go again.
Nice pub in lovely setting. Good choice of ciders. Food was good although lamb very charred a little too much on the outside. Otherwise very tasty. Would definitely visit again.
Great food. Great prices. Will be back for sure....make sure you're hungry...fantastically big portions. Loved the steak n Guiness pie. Mash was to die for.
Great food and large portions at the right price. Good selection of ciders and home grown ales. Plenty of areas to sit inside and outside.
The food was excellent and exceptionally good value. Nice canal side setting too. Varied menu with extra choices on the board at the bar. Will be going back.
there is no way possible you would be able to eat 3 Blue Bell Brewery belly busting meals. I desperately wanted a traditional dessert but after a generous starter but it would have been illegal never even managed to finish my delicious main. the food was freshly cooked and quite wonderful. This pub with a variety of ales and ciders is fabulous along with the very welcoming and helpful staff only downside we need to find a t-total mate to become our designated driver because I wanted to stay longer been illegal Please visit the hidden gem, which is the Blue Bell
Food passable, really tattie inside for the want of decoration, not somewhere we would hurry back to. Staff ok. Nice spot to drive to though
Awesome Local pub with great food and atmosphere. As a oub it is getting loud and packed in the evening but people are decent and nice. A must visit!
Excellant food, very good value for money, table reserved for us. Staff efficient despite being very busy. Will visit again very soon. Keep up the good work
good home cooked food at really good prices, staff very friendly and helpful. well done the Bluebell, we shall certainly return in the very near future.
Food very nice large portion,s service first class , friendly staff great beer's and ciders ,we would recommend everybody to try this pub thanks to the blue bell for a great night
A warm and friendly atmosphere and the food was delicious. The only fown dude was the wait in the queue for the carvery - but that was expected at 2.30 on a Sunday. Overall, an extremely positive experience, highly recommended!
The Blue Bell pub is in a delightful location and has a great menu. The meals are very generous portions good quality and very reasonable prices. This was our first visit and we will certainly be visiting again in the near future.
Visited the Blue Bell before and loved the place - this visit was no different. Always found the food of a high quality and helpings plentiful. Plus they have their own brewery!
The food and service are excellent but the place could do with a bit of refurbishment, especially the carpet. It is always busy so best to book
Full pub which was a good sign. Ordered 6 meals which were lovely. Loads of food and prices very reasonable. Would recommend. Been told the Sunday roast is excellent.
We went 8 people for Sunday Carvery and it was brilliant as usual, we booked on Friday to ensure the availability of spaces, because on Sundays is usually fully booked. If there is good weather you could eat outside.
We couldn't fault the Sunday lunch, really nice, only thing we just didn't like was the seating lay out, small round table's practically on top of the bar no sorry.
The best carvery for miles. Really friendly atmosphere and amazing home style food in a small large a quantity as you can manage. The quality of all of the produce was excellent and the service was efficient and super friendly. Can't wait to go back!
Fabulous food - I had the steak (Ribeye). Cracking, well-kept ale (I had the HPA)!!! All in all very good value - we will definitely be returning...!
Spot on. Great wholesome food, good portions and attentive staff. Makes a really nice change from the 'Bistro Pub' or the chains with their mass produced offerings. Highly recommended
If you like fine dining, this is not for you, if you want an excellent priced carvery that also tastes amazing then this is the one for you!!
It is a family place with great food. We went on Sunday, and we had Sunday roast. It wasn't our first time, but it was booking table by internet.
Beautiful food , friendly and lovely staff . Makes you feel like you are at home . This is now our local favourite pub. 😍😋
We were not impressed. Sorry. Didn't like the seating arrangement. We sat under the television, which had football playing. The vegetables didn't look appetising, either.
Lovely food at reasonable prices. Varied menu so a good choice in fact I could had chosen more than 1 meal. Staff very friendly. We will go again.
It is a little tiered in there but the food is really good and a great choice off the menus and special boards what a find will be going there more often
Great Sunday carvery with big portions. Loved the cheesy mash! Staff all extremely friendly despite having had a late night the night before for fireworks night. Will definitely be visiting again.
This pub is an old country style pub, sat ons quiet road but seemed very busy. Good food, plenty of choice- big portions and hot. Best Carvery we've had in ages.
Food is lovely, staff are friendly. Excellent value for money. Shame they don't do chips on a Sunday. Never judge a book by its cover
First time at the Blue Bell Cider House. The carvery was excellent. Loved the cheesey mash and huge portions of meat. Will definitely come again.
