Lovely food and very friendly service everyone was very very welcoming - huge portions ended up very full ( so therefore ended up taking half home) would recommend 100%
We had a fantastic meal really tasty and we were served quite quickly. The staff were warm and friendly and made our evening all the better. I love this place.
Service a bit slow as waiter kept getting wrong table. They were very busy though. Would still return though as the food is very nice.
We were welcomed by the owner and his mother Although it was busy there was only a short wait before our table became available. Service was quick despite the restaurant been full. Food excellent This is real Indian food ! Highly recommended
The Food was lovely and service was great too -very nice interior also, the plates were hot which I like as it keeps your food warm
The overall food quality was excellent. Very busy so service was slow. One meal was not as ordered. However, we enjoyed a very pleasant evening.
We went to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary & we weren’t disappointed. The atmosphere was lovely & we were greeted with a smile & seated straight away. We had mixed kebab to start with, which was yummy. I had veg Bhuna & hubby had chicken Rohan josh. Food was hot & tasty. We would visit again 😊.
Very good food but slightly noisy due to a party close by on another table other than that we enjoyed our meal at Gunthorpe by the Trent.
We had a very good meal - hot and freshly cooked and good sized portions. Good value for money on all levels. The service was friendly and attentive and the restaurant has a very pleasant ambience. The only frustration was with a very noisy party of about ten men who found it hard to keep the volume down. I have no problem with people enjoying themselves, but consideration for others always helps.
The food was all round lovely, however the staff aren’t too bothered about service. They seem too laid back. When we asked what some accompanying sauces were, he didn’t know and didn’t find out. We ordered one drink, which wasn’t very nice and had to ask for it to be changed. We got given a lemonade instead “you’ll have to drink this” as the Coca Cola syrup was out. They’re £3.55 each and I’m not paying that for an unpleasant drink or one I didn’t order. The bill was wrong, but it would be too difficult to sort with the staff. I didn’t tip because of everything that happened and for the price we paid and the service we received it didn’t seem appropriate to. The waiter slammed down my debit card, and walked off. I could have been paying a tip in cash. A bit disappointed
Good food good location fast and friendly service reasonable prices, highly recommended, this was my first visit and would definitely go again many thanks, excellent time spent
Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Starter was brilliant. Main course was good. Have been many times to the Bridge and Bayleaf and remain a fan.
Fantastic food, superb hosts. Middle eastern cuisine at its finest. Thoroughly recommend to anybody looking for a place to eat out or order in. Even managed to get my wife to eat something other than a korma...and enjoy it! Thank you, we will definitely be back
We have been to this restaurant many times now and just love it here. It’s right on the river bank which is so lovely on a nice evening to have a drink first. The food has always been first class and the owners are so lovely they always make us feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The guys also have the most fabulous Mum who helps out at the weekends and keeps them in check. She is just so wonderful... We have introduced our friends to this lovely Restaurant too. Would highly recommend this to anyone. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed 🤗😍😃
Lovely location on the river at Gunthorpe. The food was delicious and exactly to my taste. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. This was a great evening for myself and my friend. I would recommend it highly.
Great service, very friendly and accommodating staff who offered advice on the menu when required. Beautifully prepared food in a fantastic setting. Would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
Excellent staff and good food. Also made us aware of home delivery service as well. Will be using again. Also good to see parking available as not indicated on website. Not alot but enough.
Great food, great setting, great service & price. We ordered the set meal for two, there was that much food we took some home. Still tasted great the next day
Food was delicious and plentiful and the staff couldn’t do enough to make sure our party of 15 had a fantastic night! Highly recommended 👍
Excellent service and gorgeous food with depth of flavour you want from Indian cuisine. The outlook over thr river Trent just added to the whole experience, will be returning very soon.
Fantastic food hosts very welcoming lovely venue I would highly recommend The Bridge & Bayleaf to anyone wanting a great Indian food experience and afterwards a lovely walk by the river breathtaking.
Very enjoyable evening. Excellent food. We had lamb Madras and one of the specials with salmon. Naan bread lovely and light. Host's very attentive. Lovely views of the river trent. Wine good.
First rate service and some welcome recommendations which helped with dish choices. We were not disappointed with those choices... the food was excellent and we will return to try other items on the menu.
This was our second visit and like the first visit was excellent Good service, fantastic food, Great location Would recommend to anybody Will definitely be going back again
Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend to friends and family, We have been a few times before and they never disappoint, apart from once when the service was slow due to them being busy, but this didn't deter us from returning.
Extremely busy...had booked...lovely staff but took 50 minutes for starter to arrive...which I may add was lovely...drinks took ages too ...worth waiting for but just too long a wait!
Fantastic food, generous portion sizes. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Very popular restaurant as it was full when we left. Would definitely recommend to others

Excellent service & gorgeous food! We would definitely recommend the Bridge & Bayleaf! Also, they went the extra mile by giving a gift to our friends who were newly engaged.
The food here is great and never leave here feeling hungry, service is always good too. Not always busy so can lack a little atmosphere sometimes but food and service is always consistently good
Fantastic food and service. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we set foot in the restaurant. The food was enjoyable and well spiced.
Amazing food, fantastic staff.. they were brilliant with our 5 year old. Fabulous place!!! This is the third time we have been and we will return again soon.
Lovely location, very clean and pleasant restaurant , staff are really nice can’t do enough for you, and the food is excellent would definitely go again especially in the summer.
Very nice food...they made just what we ordered but the temperature of the place spoiled things. It was very cold and ended up with my coat on :-(
Great service. Intimate seating. Good food Would recommend the house green chilli dip.the cocktails were an added bonus with a choice of non alcoholic drinks.
We have been to this restaurant a few times. The food is excellent and plentiful. We have never managed to eat everything, not for the lack of trying. The staff are vey freindly and helpful. We have vegans in our party and the staff are are willing to spend time recommending dishes. There is plenty of choice.
