Excellent in every respect - highly recommended and dog friendly
Food and service were impeccable! Atmosphere matches that description. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Excellent meal and service. Top class. Can recommend to everyone.
Very nice listed building, pleasant and friendly staff and beautiful food
Lovely evening from start to finish for my birthday, thank you :)
Brilliant service staff and food. Lovely venue very clean and welcoming.
We received excellent service service and the food was lovely, hope to visit again soon.
Came here for a family birthday meal. Steaks were cooked perfectly and service was great. Very friendly attentive staff. Would definitely go again.
Brilliant trip! Excellent value and great service. Great steak! !
Lovely food, steak definately recommended. Service was ok, the waiter was lovely.
Great visit, really tasty food, good service and elegant surroundings
Excellent reception, service, food, price and atmosphere. I will be recommending this restaurant to all my friends! Well done to all the staff who work there. Fabulous..!
The food was absolutely delicious and such good value with the three course set menu! The venue is lovely and loved the atmosphere! The service was great, staff so friendly and helpful, my only thing to say is they were a bit too eager when moving onto next course as a couple of times we were still finishing our mouthful and they were there’s asking if we’d finished! But other then that minor point it was an amazing evening!
Very good food only the 3 courses and 3 drinks menu. Good choice on the food menu and the drinks menu. Will defiantly be going again
Waiting times were as was expected for the what we ordered. It came sooner than expected and was amazing!
Great food with friendly service. Would highly recommend. Will be returning again soon.
Great food and staff lovely, we will be back again
Delicious food and friendly service. Good value for money! Will return...
Lovely food and very friendly staff, I would definitely recommend.
Had a lovely meal and good service tonight thank you
Great food. Descent amount of time between corses and wasn’t rushed.
Lovely meal for my graduation. Loved the 3 courses 3 gins menu. Only minor thing was the veg was under and overdone on the veggie order. There was a large table behind us so noise levels were higher, though given the size of the table it was understandable.
Amazing food, amazing staff. Overall lovely experience. Will be visiting again
Service was good. Blue cheese sauce was too watery. Creamed potatoes were very lumpy. The fruit in the eton mess was very very hard and inedible
Really enjoyed it, good food and amazing gin selection .
Very nice tender fillet steak, well cooked, chips were ok
The food was very good. One gripe is that for a £25 main,no potatoes were included. The restaurant staff(bar one) couldn't be bothered. No table check.Had to ask for more wine. Two couples walked out without eating. One poor girl knocked a glass of wine over and NOBODY went to help her--she had to get up and go to the waitress station to get someone to help.Very embarrassed!!! This restaurant takes the 'parred down' look to the limit.Cheap cutlery, condiments, glasses, napkins. No aircon at all.You could barely breath in there. It was stale and clammy. Not what you expect for the money.
We had to wait a while for our starters and the restaurant was not that busy. The dinning area upstairs is like sitting in a village hall in terms of decor, it's a little odd. The food is really superb and the staff are so helpful and polite. I really like this restaurant.
The fish cake was exceptional. The best I've had in a long while. The staff are well trained and polite. An overall excellent experience.
The chicken wings starter didn’t taste of anything. The steak was tough and stilton sauce again didn’t taste of anything. For the money, I’d expect much better.
This was our first visit to eat. The food was exemplary, much better than expected and imaginative. Three courses & three gins excellent VFM. Serving staff very pleasant, and serving nicely paced - not too fast. Lovely room too.
Excellent staff, food and ambience. Great value too. Central location
Food was really nice and the steak was cooked perfectly. My only slight issue was the steak was not seasoned
Excellent. Passing through Lancaster on the way south so this was a lucky find! Great food Great Service. Would highly recommend!
Great food, quiet atmosphere and friendly, helpful and attentive staff
Lovely venue, interesting and thoughtful menu, amazing drinks selection. Friendly staff mean we'll be back.
Food was fantastic but very disappointed with the service. We had to ask to be seated, to order drinks, to view the menu etc Such a shame as this could be a fantastic restaurant but no enthusiasm or interest from the staff
Excellent experience again. Really buzzing atmosphere, but attentive, professional and friendly staff coped really well.
Great food, service and location. Portions are fantastic and a lovely variety of starters, mains and puddings. Will certainly be back
Ordered 2 rib eye steaks. One medium to rare one well done..both tough! Aske9d if they could give us something else. I asked for 2 sirloin but they said chef says they will be tough too. Wedding anniversary spoiled was really looking forward to our first time there. Would not be returning. They should have waived the starters and wine but charged us even for drink beforehand...but no charge for steaks. Would have refused obviously. Never again. But to add insult they said well done steaks are tough. Well what was the reason for the medium to rare being tough excuses not good enough. Ramsay would love this gibberish!
