Excellent lovely lovely food friendly staff we’ll be back. Would definitely recommend the chicken supreme and the skin on fries and seasonable vegetables. Nice choice of desserts.

This has become our regular weekly treat. I would probably go here everyday for lunch if I could as it never disappoints, and I love trying all the different homemade soups.

Service slow and food average although the staff were very nice. House wine not the best I’ve ever had. My partner had the pasta which was just ok, my cod was very good

The food and service was excellent. The only issue was the number of items on the menu that had run out. It made the menu quite limited.

Just great and extremely delitious. The lady that served was very polite and told us about the history of the place, very interesting indeed. I would recommend the lamb chops and fillet, and of course the panacota desert. Thank you!

The food was excellent, the service was very attentive with nothing being too much trouble and the Gins were out of this world, the live music in the bar was also superb, overall a most enjoyable evening.

Staff were very friendly and not pushy. Food was excellent and very well priced. Thursday night deal of steak and a bottle of wine for £20 was very reasonable and a free dessert if booked go Facebook made it even cheaper. Two very happy customers.

Excellent welcome, great gin and tonic in the bar. Our meal was first class, lovely crab starter followed by a great steaks then very tasty desserts. The included bottles of red and white wine complemented the meal perfectly.

The staff were really lovely, also a great cheeseboard, but the food seemed over fussy. Various “powders’ or ‘gels’ added to the dishes was distracting. As was the strange fruit flavoured meringue that came with the goats cheese starter. So much great produce on the doorstep, but felt it was being disguised rather than enhanced. Also although there is a massive selection of gins - good - there was not one malt whisky - bad! But would like to emphasise the setting is beautiful and staff were very friendly and efficient, major plus points.

Quite expensive for portion sizes. Warm room, air conditioning required. Apart from that everying was fine. Staff friendly and happy to help although 1 of our party got wrong fries.

Good food and friendly staff. Steak cooked to perfection, although perhaps a bottle of wine with each steak is a little excessive-perhaps look at a deal between two people.

The restaurant was quirky but had a great vibe....amazing food and drinks on offer especially if you are true gin enthusiast but stil has great options for non gin lovers.... we will certainly be back. These is also a great steak offer on a Thursday which we may come back for too. A great place to dine...my partner said maybe a cushion for some of the harder chairs if you are sat a while. 👍

We went to the Butcher and Tonic for their steak night deal and had a lovely time. The food and wine was delicious and the setting is really great. We also had a drink downstairs in the bar first which is a nice atmosphere too.

Really lovely food and very good service but need to work on decor in the main restaurant, layout of tables (too close) and ambiance (big echoing room with no music.) The steaks were excellent and cooked perfectly to each of our tastes. Will return :)

meal was nice, but rather expensive for the amount of food you get, you have to pay extra for any side orders which we didn't have, but wished we had.

I wasn't overly impressed with the food. Portion sizes we small and my main didn't taste of much, especially considering the cost. Staff were friendly

We went for Steak night (Thursday), the host was unsure on our arrival about the nights offers and had to keep going to ask which was a bit off putting. She was unsure if the offer was still on and did not no the wines which where included within the offer. (this was due to lack of staff training, she was lovely and made every effort to find out the information for us). We had amazing food and could not fault this, it was cooked to perfection the steak was tender and cooked to our request. Deserts was well presented full of flavour. Thank you for a lovely night and great food will defiantly recommend and will be returning.

Restaurant was lovely. Staff welcoming and accommodating. Food was lovely. My only criticism would be the trio of lamb that I ordered was a little disappointing due to the amount of lamb served. Would of expected more lamb for the price of the dish. However it was delicious and beautiful cooked.

The food was delicious, well presented and arrived in a timely manner. The service staff were also great. The meal was, however, expensive, and this was only compounded when you had to order potatoes and vegetables separately at an additional cost of £3 each.

We both chose off the 3 course and 3 gins menu, excellent value at £25 per person. The portions were not reduced and the food was fantastic. Highly recommended. A lovely place to eat or just for a drink. We will definitely go back. Thank you.
