Amazing lobster and whole experience was great, staff were fab too

Just popped in for a lunch, lovely experience in a nicely finished modern restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful and our food was lovely. Well presented and very flavourful. We'll be back.

The lobster tasted nice but disappointed it didnt look like it does in the photo and a very small portion for the price. I had the king prawn battered scampi and a portion of chips as a main course, it tasted lovely, but 4 prawns in more of a breadcrumb than a batter was a bit disappointing, I was expecting larger king prawns and wish i had chosen the fish supper instead because it looked lovely when I seen it being brought out for other customers. The waitress who served us was very knowledgable , but she didnt come back to check if our food was ok,another server came over with table water with ice and cucumber which was very refreshing and a nice touch. My partner asked for a pint of coke and was a bit suprised when a small bottle with a glass full of ice came instead, (it probly equated to a pint with the ice in it and the price was £4.25 )he said i asked fr a pint the server said sorry we dont do draught coke only bottled,the waitress who served us hadnt mentioned that if she hadve we wouldve known what to expect. You can see the chefs cooking the food,(should have beards covered though) the waiting staff are attentive and helpful, the atmosphere was good although the music volume couldve been bit lower and more relaxing. The toilets were very clean and overall the service was good, chips were perfect , food served quickly and tasted lovely, just not enough of it for the price. A lovely place to eat aa a treat for ypurself or someone you love and make sure you order 3 courses and take plenty money 🤩

Delightful first visit. Haggis fritter starter was amazing. The battered haddock was fresh , moist and tasty. The tartare sauce with the fish and curry sauce with the chips were perfect. Couldn’t manage a dessert. WWill

Food was good. Sourdough was very disappointing compared to jack oBryans in Dunfermline. We said and it wasn’t even taken off the bill! Unusual location but handy for parking etc.

We received a warm welcome from very pleasant staff. Our meal was really good. I can honestly say the prawn cocktail was the best I’ve ever tasted and my gluten free haddock was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Service was slow, I had a pitiful starter of BBQ Squid, which honestly, given the £10 price tag, was tiny. Not only was it tiny but incredibly chewy. I brought this to their attention when paying the bill and only response was “sorry to hear that” ? Normally a reduction would be offered. The main course was ok but nothing to write home about. Won’t be rushing back

First time visiting and what an amazing experience. Atmosphere and layout of the restaurant is lovely. Food was amazing, various options available and all the food coming out look fantastic. I would happily eat here every week if I could.
