The Crab & Lobster Fish Shack

Good excellent, staff friendly and attentive. Only issue is need to sort out extraction, the restaurant was very smoky and we all left smelling of food and grease.

Lovely venue, friendly and very helpful staff, fast and very efficient service, but most of all great food, we went to check out their fish and chips and were not disappointed, the fish was fresh and delicious, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves seafood, we will be back, 5 stars for me !!

Staff and ambience were excellent took my fish loving partner for a treat was aware the only non fish option available was either steak or a sausage supper so unfortunately no steak available which was disappointing

fish and chips, waiter asks if with mushey peas without informing you there is a charge for them . service was quick, portion was adequate .Soft drinks were a bit pricey ,fumes from the grill were overbearing ,had to get out for fresh air. I don't like service charge added to bill, I prefer to tip my server personally.

It was very good, tasty food and excellent service. The staff were great - my only complaint is that it was exorbitantly expensive - £273 for 4 adults and a child. That price would mirror a top class restaurant in the City of Edinburgh

Lovely fish and chips, good value for money. Some original touches, eg seaweed butter. Only negatives were disappointing mushy peas and unavailability of advertised 0% beer.

Servers were friendly. Enjoyed the food and the white zinfandel rose wine.

Good food and service. Was sitting near the 'open kitchen" so could see food getting prepped and cooked, but after a while the air became a bit smokey and irritated eyes so would benefit from a stronger extractor fan in the kitchen.

Great fresh seafood choice and welcoming friendly service. Good to be able to have Scottish sea food well prepared. Excellent espresso by the lady barista - a sign of a quality restaurant. Would suggest having frites not just thick chips and some lighter desserts e.g sorbets or a quality home made dark chocolate ice cream with sea salt, like the Fish Shop in Ballater, where we are from.

Resturant was lovely, few things missing on menu, apart from that, service and food was amazing. We will be back. Thank you.

It’s a place full of easy and relax vibes which is perfect for family dining. The prices on the menu are reasonable & affordable. I would recommend it and willing to come back again if I have chances.

Not particularly happy staff and flies at the window where we having a meal with the kids due to the entrance door permanently open asked for another table however unable to move so had to put up with swatting flies. No apology

Seafood platter not available as no crab, this was this reason we visited. Name is crab and lobster shack so a bit ironic no crab! Some of our group opted for steak which was very fatty and chewy and to be honest we’ve had better steaks elsewhere, some of steak left for this reason. Service was ok but felt we were constantly asked by different waiters if everything ok which we felt wasn’t necessary and then empty bottles and glasses collected without waiter speaking a word. Waiter actually stood whilst one of our party finished his dessert so we felt rushed and thought this was rude. Overall quality of good wasn’t worth the price we paid, £250 for party if 4! Wouldn’t return to be honest as really disappointed
