The Crab & Lobster Fish Shack

The decor and atmosphere reminded me of a step-down from Red Lobster; more like a refurbished Denny's. The music choice did not seem appropriate and the volume was much too high. The service was ok except the server was confused and forgot to order our appetizer. . The flavor and presentation of the food was excellent. The shrimp and lobster was cooked perfectly. It seemed like a fair value for the price. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

We recently visited the restaurant and enjoyed the overall experience; however, one noticeable issue was the strong smell of cooking fat throughout the dining area. Unfortunately, this lingered on our clothes after we left, which was quite unpleasant. As the kitchen is open to the diners, it might be helpful to increase the extractor fan levels or improve ventilation to reduce the smell spreading into the restaurant and onto our clothes. This small change would make a big difference to the comfort of guests and the overall dining experience.

Amazing food and service haddock and chips portions are huge

We were there celebrating my 60th birthday tonight with family. The staff had helped decorate our table with my daughter. We had a lovely time and as always service & food was fantastic.

Family meal for 6. This was our third visit food was nice and service good. Previous visits my husband has had the scallops and served 4 on the plate this time there was only 2 served. Think for the price 4 should be served.

Absolutely amazing. We were impressed from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. We had crab nachos which were incredible. We then had the fish and chips and the monkfish special. It was incredible. Will definitely be back

Easy to book online. Easy direction to venue. Warm friendly welcome on arrival. Service great. Specials explained. Food exceptional, fresh, tasty and plenty of it. Bill very reasonable. Was later on in the day so restaurant was quieter but i dont mind that. the food was cooked fresh and was absolutely fantastic. much better than my expectations. will 100% be back

The Lobster I ordered was very small and the amount of meat was similar to a large prawn, and tough. I raised my concern with the waiter. he said sorry and then disappeared. I also raised it with other staff and all I got was sorry. I paid the bill and left.

Service and food was amazing, at least 1 veggie main course option would be a nice addition to the menu as we had a vegetarian in our party and the was limited to a side salad and chips.

The restaurant has been refurbished beautifully, service was very good, our starters were very tasty ( haggis fritters and burrata) then we both had fish and chips. I asked for my fish without batter and it was simply grilled with butter, it could have done with more seasoning. We couldn’t manage dessert as the portions were very large. Had a problem getting the bill then actually paying the bill.
