My second visit (Oct) and I have to say consistency here is excellent. I had the mussels again which were fresh, plump and delicious. The chips were fluffy on the inside, very hot, crispy and perfectly seasoned. Unbelievably the waitress remembered me from my first visit back in July. My partner had a breaded haddock and chips which looked excellent quality, the flesh was beautifully cooked and whiter than white. Great energy and professionalism from the well trained team, we thoroughly enjoyed our supper and will return again. Many thanks and bravo 🙌

Service was fantastic, food was delicious, my only slight gripe was the cost. I recognise seafood isn’t cheap but £16 for a plate with just two lonely scallops is a bit much. Also the wine was pricey. Otherwise we enjoyed the dining experience and would recommend!

Great for, huge portions and the best fish. However staff looked grumpy and gave not one opportunity to even ask for the bill before the bill was plonked on our table with a "Need anything else? No. We need the table back". Shame really.

First time here and the selection of food on the menu was really good and good value. I brought a birthday cake for my mum's 89th and they were happy to put in their fridge and for us to eat on their premises which is good. Definitely would go back and recommend this restaurant.

Great new fish restaurant at South Queensferry, our family enjoyed a delicious dinner and great service Child friendly too, the grandchildren loved their kids meal We would also recommend their takeaway food too, excellent!

Lovely place, staff very nice, knowledgeable and chatty, Cannot fault the food, everything was spot on.

I have allergies but this place couldn't cater for me. I had to take an antihistamine when home as felt awful. I told them what my allergies were and the chef didn't take care as my food came with allergens.

We hoped there would be more fresh seafood on offer. We got the crab which was in batter which we were not expecting. It was nice just not amazing like we’d hoped. Staff were very attentive and polite especially when moving us when an elderly woman had vomitted all over the table we were sat next to. All in all it was ok but won’t rush back.

Fabulous food, service & atmosphere. We will be back thank you.

What an amazing place with fantastic staff Food was out of this world

Early evening meal with partner, daughter and son in law.. had asked for quiet area but the restaurant was very busy. Food v good to ok. Monkfish special highly rated by two of our party. Staff good and v patient dealing with customers at next table. Two adults with two of the most badly behaved children that I have ever encountered in a restaurant.

It was such a lovely place with a great ambience. My partner, who’s a seafood lover, absolutely enjoyed every bite. The food was delicious, and the team was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Quan (if I’m not mistaken)- he was so kind, attentive, and patient in explaining everything to us. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

Great parking. Nice bright decor. Fish and chips was the best I've had in years, the fish was super succulent and the batter light and crispy. Half lobster thermador excellent. Staff very attentive. Menu a wee bit restricted but overall a very pleasant experience that I would highly recommend.

We visited the Lobster fish shack South Queensferry on Wednesday Oct 1st to have lunch. We were delighted with our choice. I had the gluten free fish and chips while my husband had the 55 club fish and chips lunch which is excellent value. The fish was beautifully cooked, so fresh and lovely crispy batter. Also had meringue dessert- fab chewy meringue with berry compote. We will definitely be back. Thank you

We had high hopes for this as our last outing before our baby arrives, doubled up with birthday celebrations. When we arrived the service was great shown quickly to the table and drinks order taken. Drinks arrived really quickly and were great. We were taken through the menu and lots of nice specials on. We ordered some starters which arrived quickly and were delicious. For main my partner went for the special, monkfish, and myself a half lobster (a first time try). When the food arrived my lobster looked great, not a massive portion but I have since found half lobster is normally even smaller!! My partner however received battered monkfish when he thought he would receive the special which was explained to have crab. It was tasty enough so we did not mention anything as we thought we maybe misunderstood the menu. However upon the bill arriving we were found to be charged for a whole lobster (which is apparently what I received, but did not order). The main reason for our low review is the service that was received afterwards. It took over 10 minutes for the bill to be corrected. Even then they attempted to give us the same bill back, it was corrected on the second ask however no apology was given. Our whole experience turned very awkward and not the night out we had planned! I’m not sure we will return which is a shame for a restaurant with nice offerings and lots more I would have liked to try.

The decor and atmosphere reminded me of a step-down from Red Lobster; more like a refurbished Denny's. The music choice did not seem appropriate and the volume was much too high. The service was ok except the server was confused and forgot to order our appetizer. . The flavor and presentation of the food was excellent. The shrimp and lobster was cooked perfectly. It seemed like a fair value for the price. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

We recently visited the restaurant and enjoyed the overall experience; however, one noticeable issue was the strong smell of cooking fat throughout the dining area. Unfortunately, this lingered on our clothes after we left, which was quite unpleasant. As the kitchen is open to the diners, it might be helpful to increase the extractor fan levels or improve ventilation to reduce the smell spreading into the restaurant and onto our clothes. This small change would make a big difference to the comfort of guests and the overall dining experience.

Amazing food and service haddock and chips portions are huge

We were there celebrating my 60th birthday tonight with family. The staff had helped decorate our table with my daughter. We had a lovely time and as always service & food was fantastic.

Family meal for 6. This was our third visit food was nice and service good. Previous visits my husband has had the scallops and served 4 on the plate this time there was only 2 served. Think for the price 4 should be served.
