Social distancing measures in place and plenty of signs to remind and advise of what to do. Food and service excellent as always

Not sure that Covid restrictions taken seriously enough. No date required with name taken (but we gave it) . Will therefore be difficult to trace people if they do have a problem. Main man wore his visor more often as a hat, or not at all: this did not inspire confidence. Will not visit again until pandemic is over, as did not feel safe.

First visit out. Obviously restrictions in place. Limited menu. No atmosphere. Nobody to blame just the new normal for now.

Food exceeded expectations. Lovely gastro pub. Views over the hills in the back added to a very good experience.

The three young chaps serving at the D&P were working their socks off, with cheerful good humour. It was great to be back at one of our favourite pubs.

Lovely lunch out in the garden just after lockdown eased. The staff were very good and careful given the restrictions and had a very enjoyable meal. Both kids liked there food - I had the ribs which were very nice and the fries were excellent. Beautiful setting and great surrounding areas to walk.

One of our locals and an absolute fave. These guys pulled out all the stops tonight and it was an incredibly good evening. The staff all deserve huge praise. We’ll be back.

Just had our first Pub Lunch since lockdown began. Can only commend the D&P as everything ran seamlessly from booking online with Quandoo, to sitting outside under the trees to a most delicious meal. Felt very safe in current conditions and we will definitely be back!

1st day of re-opening and the whole team managed to make it a great experience and food was as fantastic as ever- great to be able to go out and have as great an experience as before!

Really lovely lunch at the Dog & Pheasant. Food and service was superb. The Inglenook was so inviting. Didn’t want to leave! Only one small negative ... no desserts to suit those who are dairy intolerant.

Fab food the pork belly was magnificent. Lovely serene setting for lunch. Also recommend the grill night on Wednesday evening if you a fan of steak.

Pheasant not quite as good as last time, veg, beer and wine excellent as were puds and service
