Was very disappointed. No atmosphere and overpriced. Food was tasty but won't be returning as not value for money. Shocked at price of bread and how thinly sliced. Was given vouchers by family which was lovely thought

This restaurant is so good, I went twice in one week. The staff are friendly and so efficient. The food is just lovely. Both times has the masala crab (please never take off the menu!!) and the sea bass. All of it cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. 6 minutes on the subway from centre of town, so easy!

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Glasgow with an exciting menu, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. Some of the best fish and seafood in town.

Service was pleasant but we were seated next to open doors with a lot of traffic passing - understand this was because it was an exceptionally warm day. we ordered sardines but the chef had run out - we had lovely fish and chips instead but were al little disappointed.

Third time there and will be a regular for us!! Food is amazing to the extent we would say best we have tried in Glasgow!! What adds to its charm though -the staff!!The two gentleman waiters we have been lucky enough to get on each visit are just the nicest people and so professional . A big thumbs up!! Chef please bring back the butterscotch dessert -loved it!

Disgraceful! We are seafood lovers and eat in seafood restaurants all the time eg Rogano, Loch Fyne, Martin Wishart. The food was below average, overpriced and additional charges were levied for bread, vegetables etc. Considering the poor location of this restaurant, you might expect more for £70 for 6 oysters and a main course for two people with a glass of wine each. The most expensive oysters in Scotland and served in a soup bowl! Useful tip for the waiter - do not pour prosecco into the glass from a great height making it flat and warm.

The Fish People Cafe is my favourite restaurant in Glasgow, by far. It's elegant and comfortable, like a wee sanctuary for good food lovers. The service is attentive without being imposing, I can't rate the serving staff highly enough. And for the food- fresh, flavoursome, clever cooking. Whole tandooried sea bass! An impressive dish, such delicate fish spiced to perfection. Crab linguine! Luxurious to eat, with chilli or without to suit your own preference. This place makes me forget the outside world and reminds me to just be.

Service was friendly and efficient. The meal was delicious. Mum and husband had peppered mackerel Caesar salad to start. I had light, fluffy chicken liver pate. Main courses - fish and chips for Dougie and I - moist fish, flawless crispy batter. Lovely home made tartare sauce. Desserts - Rice pudding, ginger and rhubarb - all of my Mum's favourite things and it was Mother's Day. For me - honeycomb ice cream and bitter dark chocolate sauce. The coffee here is fabulous too. Wine list reasonably priced - superb Albariño. Will be back soon!

Lovely intimate restaurant, food good staff professional very warm, menu small but a good selection, however, specialities of the day would be better displayed somewhere else not at the door as they are hard to see thee waitress did tell us what they were

Excellent meal with first class service and reasonably priced wines. Although the restaurant was almost full, there was plenty of room between tables and the staff were able to give us their full attention when required. The food was fresh, well prepared and attractively served. The crab starter and scallops main course were both to be recommended. An excellent night and one which will be repeated.

An absolute favourite. Wonderful food. Before 1600 - best fish and chips ever. Other favourites crab linguine' scallops and black pudding, daily specials. Had lobster which was amazing, potted salmon, Arbroath smokies dish, Cullen skink - all brilliant. Lovely service, lovely atmosphere - a hidden gem.

Group of five and everybody was happy - clean plates all round. Star of the show was the tandoori sea bass, but the crab linguine and fish cake specials went down well also. Friendly and attentive staff, and a good atmosphere meant a good evening had by all. We will be back!

There is nowhere better in Glasgow for fish. Great menu and helpful staff operating out of a small restaurant next to the fish shop at Shields Road. Location is in a bit of no mans land but inside the place is charming and the food delicious and not expensive for the quality.
