Great food, nice local pub setting. the set menu had plenty of choice

Amazing food and service was usual. Covid measures were fantastic too - felt completely safe, but not cold.

Enjoyable but not as good as it used to be.

Great Sunday lunch - roast pork superb with crackling and lots veg.

First class meal again, they always are. One slight negative, in my opinion, the fruit salad desert was overpowered by the marinade. Still be returning when we get chance.

Very well organised social distancing and a cracking pint of wainwright's.The food was outstanding we will return.

A Nice, independent pub, Staff are really friendly, food was lovely, you can tell it’s made by someone and it hasn’t just come prepackaged and put in the oven (the beef Wellington had a little pastry belt)

Unfortunately we were sat up a corner with a draft and couldn’t get warm. Starters were very well presented and delicious, however the main was found to be bland and dry. I had the roasted vegetable pie and hubby chicken pie. Although we were offered more veg if required, which we did, the meal was dry and I ended up asking for Mayo. The service was excellent, staff were friendly and polite with Covid measures in place.

This is one of our favourite restaurants. I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. The standard of the food is excellent as is the service. They have gone above and beyond to maintain safety whilst the pandemic is ongoing. The little extra personal touches are also a lovely extra. Proper old country pub with delicious food and friendly family atmosphere. Cannot recommend enough.

So much better now it’s not as crowded. Service good but they were very busy, could have done with another member of staff. Food great and plentiful. However, the complimentary ‘Amuse Bouche’ was not up to their normal brilliant standard.

The food and atmosphere was absolutely amazing. It was also C19 compliant.

Everything was absolutely fantastic Service and staff and food exceptional Totally safe and clean Only downside was the table as it was opposite the door and it was quite chilly when people kept going in and out to smoke and were inconsiderate leaving the door open Although the staff did try to keep it shut and pull a curtain across it did Not help I think it needs to be looked at We still enjoyed our evening but would request not to be seated there when we visit again

My second visit to The Fountain tonight First visit took my sister for a birthday lunch/catch up on one of the "last of the sunshiny days we had a few weeks ago". Had to treat my husband tonight as She and l were so impressed with absolutely everything the pub/restaurant has to offer. Lovely well trained customer friendly staff. Just loved the small personal table hampers, Menu has a great choice for everyone.. Food was delicious . Big Thank you Chef.. Jacky and The Team... We will be back. Highly recommended.

Great venue, well prepared staff, super careful presentation of cutlery, napkins, glasses and salt and pepper (all secured in a basket with a hand sanitizer also included) and fabulous service and food. Felt very safe and comfortable whilst dining.

We had a fantastic experience from arriving to leaving. Everything possible has been done to make the Fountain Covid safe, and we really appreciated this. The service and the food was amazing and we will definitely be returning.

The Fountain is a favourite restaurant of mine, there is something include on the menu to suit everyone and the food is delicious and of a very high standard

Stringent covid precautions, felt perfectly safe. The food as always was excellent and the staff were really friendly and made time for you

Great food and staff as always. Was spilt tonight though by another diner who moaned to my husband for waiting in a disabled car space - he was waiting for my father in law and I (my father in law being 90 and walks with the aid of a stick) to come out of the restaurant. My husband shouldn’t have had to explain to a very rude woman, why he was there. She actually saw us walk out! Spoilt evening I’m afraid ..

Great food, great staff, right next to the beautiful clent hills. Very nice wine and beers too.

As always the food was amazing and staff very attentive and polite.Obviously what comes over from the staff is that they have been very well trained. For anyone who is worried about visiting the Fountain during these Covid times.....don’t be worried at all as we were very comfortable with all of the safety measures put in place.
