Great meal and proper value for money, quality of the food is excellent. Booking no problem, looks like it could become a regular occurrence.

Table not ready to start with. The table we had was like sitting in a works canteen. We could not converse with each other - another bad point - as a family we hadn't seen each other for a while but were too far away to talk to each other. Food overpriced and food over cooked , veg watery mushrooms like rubber, sauce not good taste. Steak sauce should not be on the steak. Waitress was loud and brash. Couldn't get a drink waitress not bothered. Felt like they couldn't get us out quick enough at end of our meal. This was a family night to remember our Moms birthday who has recently passed, our Dads birthday who has also passed and daughter in laws Mom anniversary of passing. We were all looking forward to the night and came out very flat and disheartened. Paid 2 ways for a taxi when could have driven as the drinks service was virtually non existent. Always thought of Fountain as a special place- no more!! Will not be returning, would have had a better night at Wetherspoons more fool us for thinking the fountain was special! It's not it's over priced and a very basic pub!!

A Birthday treat. Chose from the fixed price menu as it contained an excellent range of fish dishes besides battered cod. The accompanying steamed vegetables a mix of four along with the dauphinois potatoes and chunky chips all came in generous portions. The waiting staff were professional and friendly. Each course was beautifully presented, and importantly came in a timely manner neither rushed or left waiting too long. Attention to detail with drinks automatically serving water nicely chilled . A memorable experience for all the right reasons. Thank you

Mediocre pub food, the most tasteless garlic prawns I have ever eaten. I was expecting an interesting menu but very ordinary. Our waitress was the most miserable person hardly uttered more than two words, the waiter and the restaurant manager were pleasant and helpful. Very disappointing will not bother To go there again.

So great to be back in a pub and this does everything wonderfully well on F&B Regarding hygiene it is better than many pubs but 98.7% of pubs have the highest standards and significantly better than supermarket & high street shop

Great food and the service was excellent. We had 3 course set menu. Hoisin pork dumplings to start were very tasty, fish & chips were excellent. The fish was huge. Ice cream for dessert was lovely. The staff were friendly and the COVID restrictions were well managed

The usual fantastic food and service! Never any complaints about this place! If you go and have to sit outside just wrap up as it does get a little cold but definitely wouldn’t put me off! Heaters there so that’s a bonus!

Very very well organised gorvthe current restrictions. Everything provided, cutlery, classes condiments etc were in a sealed hamper so they were completely clean. Service was impeccable and quick. Staff very pleasant and helpful. A great experience in all aspects and would recommend
