We had an excellent lunch. Food was really good with lots of choice and very good value for money. Overall ambience was great with some very nice little touches. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Overall experience was very good and we'll certainly visit again.

We felt very welcome, all the waiters and waitresses were friendly and efficient, the food lived up to its reputation and the place has a cosy atmosphere. We will be going back soon.

This was our third visit in 6 months, always a very enjoyable time. Service and food is amazing, food always piping hot and fresh, looking forward the the warmer weather so we can sit in the beer garden.

Food was very good, served very well by a delightful staff who were very attentive. We all enjoyed our lunch. I had the whole plaice which was delicious and we all came home feeling we had been very well fed and looked after.

This is the best restaurant for miles around, and to prove the point - I keep going back time and again!

Sunday lunch for two. Delicious roasts with an excellent variety of vegetables plus extra gravy. Crème brûlée was a little disappointing- a bit too heavy for my taste. Lovely pub with a good ambiance. Attentive and friendly staff providing excellent service. Good value.

Meal with friends in a warm friendly atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and friendly. On the whole food was good but I had beef wellington which should have been fillet steak and it seemed more like blade of beef texture! One of my party had sea bass which was a very small portion! Apart from these criticisms we enjoyed our meals.

Had a great meal at the fountain as usual. The service was great and staff were very attentive. Only problem was choosing what to eat as there was so much lovely food on the menu! Just have to go again

Had not visited the fountain for a number of years. Decided to take my mother for a Christmas lunch. Wonderful service from start to finish. I had Richards signature dish the lamb pot roast. The lamb was moist and plentiful the gravy Devine one of the best meals I have had in pub.. Next time I will skip the starter the portions are big. Order the lamb roast you will not be disappointed. Will be returning again soon. Thank you fountain team.

As always, but on this busy Christmas Eve, Jacque and team provided delicious food from a wide-ranging menu to suit all tastes and served by friendly,approachable and hard-working staff.

Got the table we wanted in the location we wanted. Very please with that and an excellent lunch

Food was lovely as always but on this visit there was a lack of sides ie chips, dauphinoise potatoes etc. There were 4 of us and a friend noticed that a couple sitting behind me were served twice the amount of sides we were.

First time we used this pub for a special occasion meal so we were a little apprehensive. We needn’t have been. The atmosphere and staff were very welcoming from the outset and the meals and service were excellent. I will visit again.

The atmosphere was a little noisy, but the Christmas menu had a good choice for each course.

Little issue with one of the main dishes but all was sorted promptly. Apart from the blip all meals and staff were first class, as always.

Very traditional venue in the countryside. Service is excellent, very attentive, with an excellent choice on the menu with dishes not so traditional. The food is always presented well, very tasty and plentiful. Would recommend.

First time we had eaten here in ages and it didn’t disappoint. Food, wine, staff and environment as we remembered which is quality and cosy. A couples, friends and family setting with well behaved children on a Sunday afternoon was a lovely treat. Thankyou 🥰
