Excellent service and excellent food as always! Highly recommended venue

The Fountain offers informal but extremely high quality & high standard catering consistently. The menu covers a good range of tastes & preferences, with at least three vegetarian/vegan main course options. My wife & I have visited The Fountain frequently over the last ten years or so & I can say we have never had a disappointing meal in that time. If mistakes are made - & these are very rare - the problem Is acknowledged & put right without fuss. Strongly recommended

Admittedly it was Christmas and we arrived a little early but we were kept waiting 30 minutes for our table which indicates the restaurant was over booked. Waiting in the bar area creates difficulties because you are simply in the way.

I found this restaurant in the Good Pub Guide. What a find. Everything - the food, menu choice, service staff and the venue were amazingly excellent. I knew The Fountain was well recommended from reading the reviews but I still didn't expect everything to be on another level. My rating is 5/5, exceptional. Even had my name printed on the menu together with a lovely description of each of the staff and a resume of their roles within the business. We will most definitely return.

We had 3 courses and everything was excellent. Service also very good. Would have been nice to have had Xmas Crackers on table to give it the Party feeling but would certainly recommend food, service and friendly place.

Cost of two glasses of wine spoilt the lunch completely

Never have I been disappointed in the dining experience at the fountain, it’s just on a higher level of quality food and service.

There seemed to be a lot of new staff that weren’t fully trained. They were all very polite however they never asked if everything was okay with our food or if we needed more drinks Didn’t enjoy the food as much as usual very disappointed

There are three components that come together to make an excellent night out at The Fountain in Clent. Lovely / charming company, friendly / efficient staff & excellent food. All that came together last evening making it a wonderful evening out, thank you.

We enjoyed our meals at Fhe Fountain very much. Staff were very attentive and helpful in a friendly manner.

Disappointed in good but that was my choice I think. Not so keen on the veg as it never changes!

Food was very nice and good sized portions. My partner and his sister had the cheesy garlic bread starter which they really enjoyed , and looked enough for a light lunch. Didn't give 5 stars as took a bit of time to attract attention for more drinks , but they very busy in there, which was nice to see .

Unfortunately we were next to a table of people who were a little load. Perhaps more space between table's would have helped.

Very welcoming, shown to our table and loved the personal touch on the menus. Great to find a bottle of ice cold water awaiting us and linen table napkins. The service was excellent and the fixed priced menu food superb. Looking forward to returning.
