Lovely meal and atmosphere. The food is superb and the se rvice is very good too.
Was a little disappointed this vist , felt we were rushed in and out in 40 min not what expect from katmando!! And it wasn’t busy,
From the beginning we were made to feel welcome and staff very attentive - it was my fathers 79th birthday and they brought him a cake and candle at the end of the meal - we also we able to have a doggy bag to take home the food we has been too stuffed to eat. We all had a fantastic tie and my dad had a great birthday! Thank you Katmandu!
Top night and very accommodating for 12 of us at short notice. The food was brilliant and it's a perfect location with the Burton Road Tram stop being close by.
FOOD WAS NICE AND TASTY , I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT AGAIN SERVED HOT, ENOUGH TIME TO ENJOY AND LOTS OF OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM
Myself and my family went to Kathmandu on Sunday 1st April. The staff were very accommodating. The food was lovely. Will definitely recommend and we will most definitely be returning. Thank you :)
The Kat was back to its best. Great food, first class friendly service and reasonably priced. One of the best meals out in a long time.
Great food lovely atmosphere. Would most defiantly dine here again. Tried something different and was most defiantly not dissapointed, plenty good left also, very generous portuons
We all enjoyed it here. Amazing food by a family business. Lovely all round. We will most certainly be heading back here in tbe near future I hope.
We had the Sunday lunchtime special, £9.50 for a choice of four starters and four mains, plus popadums and bread. All delicious and fantastic value. Quality establishment
Great service, delicious food especially the bhajis. Lovely to see a gentleman still working at there from over 15 years ago when I lived locally.
Usual great food and atmosphere along with the service and reasonable prices. Always a great night and much better than the hassle of Rusholme and parking issues
Food was tasty, but nothing special, a fairly standard menu. However the service was poor, waiters were grumpy, and we'd barely sat down before they were asking to take drinks orders. When we asked for more time, they just loitered and returned 30seconds later.
I booked a table for twelve for a joint work leaving event. A very cold and snowy Wednesday night became a jovial banquet. Plenty of dishes to choose from, never rushed and very prompt drink replacements for the two to three hours sat together.
The food was great and service were faultless, we took friends for New Years Eve and we all really enjoyed our evening, would high recommend A*
By far the best Nepalese food in Manchester, the north... and possibly the UK. You owe it to your taste buds. We've been visiting for about 30 years now. Enough said.
The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and welcoming will deffinatly returning to this restaurant absolutely faultless couldn't of asked for anything more
Friendly service with a family feel. The food was excellent and we'll definitely return. I'd recommend any of the lamb dishes also can't go wrong with a pint of kingfisher
Food was good but portions were small for the price. The service was awful. It felt as soon as we sat down the waiting staff wanted us to pay and leave so they could get another table in. The whole evening felt rushed and there was no attempt of staff giving any sort of smile or willingness to serve. Absolutely awful
Friendly staff and great food. The place was recommended to me by a friend and was a very good experience, would recommend it myself without a doubt.
Brilliant as always! Love chilli paneer, jingha tandoori, keema peas, takha dhal. Plus a Kathmandu beer. Staff are fab too. Have been going there for 18 years.
Excellent service and perfect food. This place gets everything right from quality of food, consistency of presentation and flavour and choice of wine. A lot of similar restaurants can do hot spicy dishes well as the GK does but none can present the mild and medium choices with the same unerring skill in the balance of the sauces and cooking of lamb and chicken.
The food and the service was excellent, however the table we were seated at was very small in the corner of what was essentially an empty room and this had a detrimental effect on the overall experience.
It was a really busy evening and the service was very rushed. A pint of beer got knocked over by the waiter who was rushing around too much and one of our party's meals was forgotten about - he had to wait a while. The food is always great quality.
I have been eating here for over 25 years. Always excellent... Food and service, the best in Manchester You must have the Chicken Makhanwala. Trust me!
Excellent, authentic and still the best curry house in West Didsbury. The standards and service is still as good as it was the last tonne Oates there 20 years ago.
Lovely food as ever. Slow service but they were quite busy I guess. Not the cheapest but worth the money I think. Try the Aloo Chilli if you like a spicy starter it's awesome!
Food, service, and atmosphere were great! Friendly and attentive staffs!
Great food. No fuss. I would Highly recommend it. Great for the whole family. Kids enjoyed it. And they have Kingfisher - best beer in the world.
5 Star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As always!! I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years. Without doubt this is the best curry house in Manchester...... !
The food and service were wonderful, this was our first time there, we’ll be back many more time’s in the future. Thanks to their people who recommended this place to us.
The food was good. Service was fast and polite but not friendly. Experience was marred by the presence of four loud and foul mouthed men on a nearby table. Don’t think we will be returning.
Decent food but terrible service. We were stuck upstairs and forgotten about, it was over an hour before we had starter. The young servers didn't have much of a clue at all leaving piles of dirty plates on tables through the meal.
Best chicken Jalfrezi in Manchester now as it was the last time we visited 30 years ago when it was only a third of its current size. Great food, service spot on, still family run and great value for money. 100yards from Burton Road team station as well!
Food was very good and portion sizes were very large , good prompt service and plenty of helpful staff on hand to help you if required
Been here loads of times and really enjoyed the food and service, would have gave it a better rate, but food wasn’t hot tonight, just like warm
This restaurant serves excellent food and we've been coming here for years. Can get very busy and the service sometimes suffers as a result. Don't let that put you off though because the food is worth it.
Food was ok. Service was nor great. People who came in after us were finished there meal by the time our starter came out.
Fabulous food - Service a little slow - ordered drinks a couple of times and took a long time to actually get them we had to remind them on both occasions.
Excellent food and service as usual and a very good atmosphere which is unlike most other places particularly midweek and we come from all over Stockport and Warrington
