The food was absolutely amazing.... as always! They really are a cut above. Fine ingredients, perfectly cooked, wonderful flavour balances. Good sized portions as well. We went for a prawn and fish special, lamb handi and tandoori chicken shak-shu-na, as well as various sides. This is my third visit and there are very few restaurants that deliver such consistent high standards. Shame the service was a little bit slow, clumsy and disjointed. It was 8pm on the Saturday of Valentine's Day week, so understandably they were mega-busy. Staff were clearly working hard and I'm not sure an additional member of staff would have helped (quite tightly packed in the dining area). Just one if those things... small blot, but definitely a positive experience all things considered.

Always enjoy the Great Kathmandu. Great food and reliable service! You are made to feel welcome from the moment you enter the restaurant and it is in a very accessible location.

Probably the best Indian restraint in Manchester. Nepalese food, spicy and different, good service by largely Nepalese staff. Try the Katmandu chicken and the Bhutan ghost. Nan bread is superb. Only nitpick are the popadoms which are spicy and small compared to the usual Manchester doorstops. It is the business and rightly popular

Always a great experience to dine at this restaurant. Great food, good staff and excellent atmosphere. I strongly recommend this place for a great curry meal.

It was very busy so we had to have a table upstairs in the private room area which wasn't as nice as the main restaurant. Service was a little slow but staff were great. We will go again!

Great food. Best popadoms in Manchester. Tikka masala has a kick for what's normally a mild dish but still amazing and great sized portions. Would recommend

friendly staff. tasty authentic food. had makhan chicken. haven't been to the restaurant in 20 years (it had moved a few shops down!), but not disappointed. little bit slow on some service though e.g. checking my friend had cutlery (even after I suggested they lay a space for him!) and attending to the hotplate candles (which went out). would go again though.

Great meal and incredible value for money. There is plenty of variety on the menu and they also offer children's portions.

Gorgeous food, lovely service. We were there to celebrate a birthday and the staff arrived at the end with a surprise cake that we didn't ask for which was very lovely.
