Had the early evening two course meal and it was delicious. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend.

Variable service and variable food. It has been better in the past.

Nothing to do with chefs but the rump steak was quite chewy. It’s just that cut of meat which wasn’t the best but accoutrements were delicious. Will definitely return soon. Also should add the rump steak was part of a 2 course meal, price under £20. Excellent pricing for a beautiful venue. Starters, tomato soup with chilli and ham hock terrine were superb

We have booked and eaten at Mustard Seed year after year, around this time.. however, this time we found the fish slightly overcooked and underseasoned and the venison was served colder than it should be and a little tough. A serrated knife would have helped. Disappointing main course, we enjoyed our starters. Total price was higher than expected. Service and staff were as good as always.

We had a great time, the building is fabulous , barn like style with two floors. The staff were very welcoming. Then we got to the food. Two menus and a specials board! Yum! The prawn starter, halibut main and tortelloni main both specials, and then the delicious mango sorbet for dessert! We hope to be back soon, a super pre-theatre dinner! Yum!

Inexperienced servers need to be supervised or better trained. It is never their fault for mistakes but those of the supervisors or management. Vegetarians do not just nibble at lettuce. We do enjoy fair sized portions with varying textures and flavours. Pasta dish served, which was nice, tasted the exactly the same every mouthful and in my opinion was only a starter sized portion.

This was my first visit to the Mustard Seed and I wasn't disappointed! Ate from the Early Evening menu - all the dishes were delicious and the service was super friendly. I will visit again!

Really relaxing ambience and customer attention is really good as soon as you step through the door you're made to feel valued by the warm and welcoming staff. The menu has something for everyone, the food is great and there is a varied choices of wine to accompany any choice of food. I would certainly eat here again.

Halibut overcooked and pasta undercooked. Lights so low it was difficult to see food and I needed the light from my phone to read the menu. Staff delightful.

We were served by an older gentleman much of the time - never smiled once. No banter just transactional. Food good we just didn’t feel that welcome.
