The Poppadom Lounge

We were very happy with our experience at the Poppadom Lounge. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and most importantly the food was delicious!

Great food Great friendly and good pace service Complimentary night cap - I always get the baileys Chocolate orange with bill - better than standard choc mint! Haha

Food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient. We were even given a liqueur on the house after our meal. Fantastic value as well.

I was very pleased with the quality of the food, very tasty. The staff were very friendly and professional. They even offered a drink on the house at the end of the meal.

Really nice, family run place. We were greeted warmly on arrival and offered a choice of table locations. The service was friendly and welcoming throughout and the staff were happy to advise on the various dishes. The food came quickly and was top quality. Honestly couldn't fault it for food or service. We had a meal for two but massively over-ordered and with drinks included the bill came to a little over £40. Will definitely be going back.

Food was excellent, and the service was personal and extremely friendly. Would highly recommend. The restaurant is intimate and it makes for a great atmosphere. Service also very speedy.

We had a really good meal. Shame you guys hadn't booked the table but we were lucky as they had one available why didn't you? So top marks for the restaurant and zero marks for you guys.

Very, very busy on a Friday night and they asked us to move tables for a large party. Staff friendly. Food good but not served as piping hot as I would like.

Great service, really fast & attentive, food was lovely and great value too. Nice ambience, comfortable seating with plenty of elbow room. I would recommend anyone to try it

A party of three with varying requirements found a variety of dishes to suit us all, murg cashew nut was enjoyed by the vegetarian, for the meat eaters a chicken japrani and lamb malabar with dishes pretty much cleared though portion size is generous. The service, and attention to detail of the staff made the evening a pleasure with hot towels to refresh. Definitely an experience to be repeated.

Starters good. Mains average. Nan bread not good at all. Menu far to big a d everything is either chef speciality, house speciality, staff speciality. A tad misleading as the two mains we ordered were very similar except one lacked meat.

Good food and friendly service. Very quiet, we were the only people there but still enjoyable. We were offered free liquors at the end of the meal. Worth a visit.

Made to feel very welcome as first time visitors to restaurant. Food great and an enjoyable evening!! Will certainly return in near future and could easily become my new local!!

Not been here for some time so inital impressions were good on the decor. The restaurant was pretty busy whihc was a good sign. Service was friendly and attentive the whole evening. The menu wa somewhat different to what I am used ot with some different dishes on the menu. Only negative was the heat of the dishes wasn't made clear for novice curry eaters but fine for me. I went for the very hot methis sag naga which was delicious and to be honest, everything were ordered was flavousome and cooked very well. There was a good level of difference between the dishes unlike some places where I've eaten where many of the dishes are based on the same limited base sauce selection. After gorging ourselves on a fine meal we were absolutely stuffed and the staff kindly offered to sort out a doggy bag. Despite over ordering ( rude not to ) and adding a few drinks the bill came to about £22 a head whihc was very reasonable for the quality of food, service and surroundings. The only slight negative of the evening was the volume. Its a fairly small place and with all tables full people were speaking loudly to be heard which meant increasing volumes . As a couple of tables left things quietened down but still felt lively. Overall a very pleasant experience and would likely go back again in the not too distant future.
