The Riccarton Inn Pub and Dining

Great local pub, with good food. Some odd choices of starters, which were a challenge for our kids (10 & 12) but the soup was a good choice for us.

Lunchtime visit with school friends which was really relaxing and never felt rushed. Staff very attentive and food was lovely.

Very nice food good beer and friendly staff. Recommend booking especially weekends.

Visit started well with good service and the main course was lovely however dessert did not seem to be on the menu. We asked for the menu was given it and nobody came back for an order waited 20 mins and then gave up had to go to the bar to ask for the bill. Explaining about the want for a dessert but nobody coming over. Waiter didn't seem at all interested.

Sunday lunch with the teens. I just love the place, it’s cozy (especially in winter when the fire is going) the staff are lovely, it wasn’t noisy,and the food is fantastic (the portions are very generous!) My daughter had the fish and chips, the fish was as big as her head and so fresh and tasty and crispy. Me and the boy had the steak burger which was juicy and cooked perfectly on a brioche bun. I had flourless chocolate torte and it was not only beautiful to look at, it was to die for! Never change Riccarton 😊

Great food and service. The only criticism is the prosecco is very expensive. You dont expect to drink in a local pub and pay more than some places in town!

Staff were all lovely and very accommodating of a breastfeeding Mum in our group. Food was great and decent value for money.
