The meal was nice but not excellent so therefore slightly overpriced. What spoilt the experience was the feeling of eating in a crèche. Too many families who thought it was ok to allow kids to run around (kids of an age that should know how to behave) . Some were even in the restaurant in wheelies. Sorry. Won't rush back.

Nice family pub, food excellent! We had the burger which was really good, chips were cooked well. Beer battered fish was also very good. Will come here again :)

Another excellent Sunday lunch this time in the garden enjoying the spring heatwave! Tom the duty manager as professional as ever and the new fine wine list is a great addition to the wide selection of wines already available, try Chocolate Block a wine to be savoured at length with good food and in good company.

Excellent food, good service and a friendly waitress to complete the experience. It is one of those rare pub restaurants that combines a good pub atmosphere alongside an impressive restaurant.

Undercooked lemon sole - still blood around the bones and the flesh sticking to the bones - but also tasteless. Chef apparently said that it is his preference to undercook fish

Food excellence, BUT service was slow for a week day and only about 5 ? tables being used. Also we arrived and when I asked where the toilets were I was told "Oh through there" so I struggled with my mother who couldn't reach the bizarre sink and non named taps. Towards the end of the meal I said this to a member of staff they said "Oh (big word at the Ruddington Arms) there are disabled toilets in a separate place 25 metres away from the main toilets and not signposted at at. The reason I mention this is because my mother was using a walker and clearly disabled. Not friendly, no extra help and even the door with the ramp outside was locked. I had to walk round to ask them to open it.....I'm disabled as well. Food very good, for village pub I thought it on the pricier side BUT excellent selection even if my favourite was on the "specials" board which we were NOT pointed out to us.

Lovely food. The fish and chips were particularly good with tasty peas and fresh, white fish. Service also very good especially as it was coming towards the end of Easter Sunday.

Food at every course was just fantastic. Service very attentive. There were a lot of very noisy children, but that is to be expected I guess as it was Sunday lunch time. We'll definitely be returning.

My wife and I come to this restaurant a lot because everything about it is good and it is managed by true professionals at their craft. This Sunday I ordered the Gressingham duck from the 'Specials Board' it was superb. Mark, the chef, excelled himself with the combination of flavours he managed to create on the plate. I followed this with the cheesecake which came with one of the best sorbets I have ever tasted. My wife and I continue to be surprised and delighted with the quality and presentation of the food in this restaurant. Finally, must mention the fantastic staff who work their socks of on busy days, thanks guys and girls. Graham

Booked for lunch, was super quick, very tasty and incredibly good value for money. The curried parsnip soup is amazing and the Brie, bacon and cranberry on sourdough is to die for. Cannot fault it!

Unfortunately due to it being Mother's Day food was terrible! My roast beef was full of fat portion was poor , no separate vegetables on side and only 2 roast potatoes ! Prices were also increased and tables so cramped together that you could hardly move ! Last visit few months ago was excellent but will not recommend or visit again after experience yesterday ! Didn't complain at time as didn't want to spoil it for the family !

Great food and great service! Ruddington is fairly easy to get to from the centre of Nottingham so we could have a few beers in the locals down the road after!
