Lovely atmosphere where you are always made to feel welcome. I can’t say anything negative. You have to try the steak....amazing! The portions are quite big in both the starters & the main course so make sure you go with an empty stomach as I wouldn’t want to miss out on anything.
Try to visit the shore on a regular basis it’s local great food and value for money great service Leanne and staff great
Excellent food, especially the mixed grill. Well worth the money.
Early evening visit and ate from set menu. Excellent value for money, huge portions unlike many set value menus. Only minor complaint was restaurant temperature. a bit chilly and had to keep my jacket on, Otherwise lovely visit.
The Shore is without doubt a very big favourite of mine, the service is second to none and the food is always well presented and tastes so good. The owners take good care of their customers and the atmosphere is always welcoming and comfortable. Strongly recommend that the Shore should be a place to visit and then return to again and again
On first appearance the Shore just looks like a pub/restaurant with a sports bar. However, on entering the doors the atmosphere is great, the staff very friendly and welcoming and the food is really excellent in both quality and quantity, and at a very reasonable price too. The waiting staff were very attentive. The menu offers an excellent choice of food to suit all tastes. We would certainly visit again next time we are in the area and would highly recommend the Shore to others.
It was good but not brilliant. The chips weren’t very good but that can be a personal preference thing. I has the macaroni and it was lovely, not the best I’ve ever had but good. The sticky toffee pudding was very nice. Two courses for £10.95 which is very reasonable. I found the seats quite low in relation to the tables which made eating slightly awkward, we were in a booth so I’m sure not all tables will be like that. The lady that served us seemed to be working behind the bar but served us very well and was absolutely lovely and very helpful. Overall it was pretty good pub grub and would consider going back again.
Five pensioners out for an early meal before going to Cinema. Like the fact that they do this early evening special rates for one or two courses. None of us have big appetites now and the one or two courses is just fine for us. They have a nice varied menu. Four of us had the Macaroni Cheese with chips and salad and one had Steak and Ale Pie . We all enjoyed our meal. Nice pleasant staff.
As always our visit to the Shore on Friday 23rd December was lovely, lovely welcome by Marilyn great menu a lovely choice, lovely staff so attentive as always! Great fun at the quiz we didn't win but it's the taking part that counts, and Chris as ever the perfect dj plays all our requests as always even the impossible ones!! Fabulous night as usual!! Thankyou all very much we will see you in the new year!! xx
Fabulous Scottish meal on Burns night. The chicken stuffed with black pudding and rolled in oatmeal was superb, as was the haggis starter! I've never been disappointed with meals at The Shore. A first class, very friendly venue.
