Five pensioners out for an early meal before going to Cinema. Like the fact that they do this early evening special rates for one or two courses. None of us have big appetites now and the one or two courses is just fine for us. They have a nice varied menu. Four of us had the Macaroni Cheese with chips and salad and one had Steak and Ale Pie . We all enjoyed our meal. Nice pleasant staff.

Lovely night as always! Friendly staff lovely food!! Chips to die for! Only thing was there nothing much to do afterwards! We thought the quiz was on but unfortunately it wasn't so most people just ate and left so we did the same and we were home by 10.30!! Early for us, especially on a Saturday night! !

The food was good especially loved the chips. Food arrived promptly, However one waitress in particular was very unpleasant and the second drinks round arrived tardy.

I love the shore but I have to say I'm a wee bit disappointed in the new menu. Just not very inspiring. Lovely atmosphere as usual.

Good Food and good service as usual, but The Shore doesn't quite have the same ambience as it once had. Not the same jumping place when Marilyn was there but certainly would return.

As always our visit to the Shore on Friday 23rd December was lovely, lovely welcome by Marilyn great menu a lovely choice, lovely staff so attentive as always! Great fun at the quiz we didn't win but it's the taking part that counts, and Chris as ever the perfect dj plays all our requests as always even the impossible ones!! Fabulous night as usual!! Thankyou all very much we will see you in the new year!! xx

Food was excellent and good value for money. The only "hiccup" was when we ordered our sweet - three ice creams. We were asked if we wanted coffees and ordered them as well. The coffees arrived approximately 10 minutes before the ices (which had to be prompted twice). Apart from finishing with ice cream rather then coffee it was very good. When we go back we will make a point of asking that the coffee is served after the sweet.

Food was average at best which is a shame as this place has really went downhill in recent years. We had a meal and three drinks each and the quality of food, which is really just pub grub, wasn't great and really didn't warrant a £90 bill. There was 12 people in at the busiest point when we were in and three girls working yet I was left waiting on a drink for 20mins as two of the girls seemed more interested in setting tables and clearing up from 8:30pm onwards rather than actually serving people. Got the impression they couldn't wait for us to leave so they could close up for the night.

Cosy bar/restaurant with blazing log fire to heat a cold February Sunday. My steak pie was very good indeed although I suspect it was steak with a piece of pastry on top rather than a proper pie. It didn't seem joined together the way a proper pie is. Nonetheless the steak was very good and plenty of it. My mum had the battered haddock and she remarked the fish was very fresh and beautifully cooked. Nice service and an excellent gin menu!

Fabulous Scottish meal on Burns night. The chicken stuffed with black pudding and rolled in oatmeal was superb, as was the haggis starter! I've never been disappointed with meals at The Shore. A first class, very friendly venue.

The Shore is without doubt a very big favourite of mine, the service is second to none and the food is always well presented and tastes so good. The owners take good care of their customers and the atmosphere is always welcoming and comfortable. Strongly recommend that the Shore should be a place to visit and then return to again and again

We've had better here before. Food warm and some elements not good at all. Staff seemed under pressure. A poor experience unlike the Shore. We witnessed others food being returned as not cooked properly. Not sure why but please restore the Shore to higher standards of food prep.

As a regular patron of the Shore, I'm always confident that we will get the usual high standards of both service and quality of food. No difference on this occasion as the food was of the usual high standard. The service is always very good but disappointed to see Ally has moved on.

Wonderful relaxed atmosphere with very knowledgeable staff and food that compares to nothing locally. Very friendly local pub restaurant that delivers high end food. We had a wonderful evening with great food, great wine choice and after dinner drinks. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and will definitely be back
