Food was lovely but service not so good, very slow and unprofessional. Missing cutlery on two occasions and sitting waiting around for service. We had our dog with us so sitting in the bar, it felt like we were forgotten about. Yes we will be back but please take note. We want the same attention as diners in the restaurant, after all we are paying the same price! A friendly smile also goes a long way
Took my family here for a Saturday lunch. Everyone was satisfied. Super tasty and very reasonable prices. Would recommend 😄 Good selection on their menu.
We hadn’t been to the Shore for sometime and we weren’t disappointed. The food was good as was the service from all the staff who waited on our table. We will definitely be back, sooner this time..
Great place for food, been few times now and the Sunday dinner is second to none. Delicious home cooked food Will definitely be back again soon
Good food was lovely and great size portions. Great value for money .Staff were pleasant and efficient. A nice cosy setting for a nice family meal.
Food was really bad. Used to be good but it was not this time. Dry, burnt, tasteless, greasy etc. Menu was pretty bland as well.
Great menu, food was lovely. Very, friendly welcoming staff, would definately recommend. The Sunday Roast was very nice and my little one just loves the lentil soup! 😀
Good clean restaurant good atmosphere and good food at a great price will definitely be going back and decent car park to park warm and friendly
Our first visit. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and staff were excellent. A very cosy atmosphere with the lovely fire burning. We will definitely return soon.
Couldn't fault the food but service was a bit patchy, had to ask twice for the dessert menu ,probably because the restaurant was busy at the time.
Food was amazing, we all loved what we had and the service was spot on. Portion sizes and prices were brilliant too. Will most definitely be back and will absolutely recommend The Shore to my friends
Nice meal good service great value for money will definitely be back again lots still to try.thank you to Lee and see you all again soon.
Thoroughly enjoyed my meal at The Shore and good value for money but the premises could be a bit warmer for customers coming in as it was quite cold sitting.
We had a great 3 course meal which was great value for money at a fantastic price. We will definitely return in the near future for some more lovely food. Thanks.
Good food, good service and reasonable price. Nothing amazing but it is what is is, pub grub with friendly staff in a cosy and comfy pub. Will go back
Lovely little place and find. The food is really good home cooked and best Sunday dinner I have had in a while. Definitely be back again.
Great surroundings. Great food, great Beer. Fantastic value for money. Service was first class. Definitely recommend to family and friends. And definitely would go back.
Went for lunch good menu selection. Friendly staff. Best scampi I’ve had. Friend had the fish and it was quite small. Looking forward to returning.
Visited on Monday the 31st .A very pleasant lunch over the festive season and yet again the Shore has provided reliable quality with excellent service.
Cosy place, clean & welcoming, booked table for 6, good home cooked grub, & allowed my 2 dogs into the bar area. Will definitely go back.
Great food and service staff lovely friendly atmosphere have been here a few times and can’t fault it always a great choice of food and wines highly recommend
Brilliant night at The Shore, lovely staff and nice enough menu! My husband and I both had the scallops which were delicious followed by the lamb cutlets which were equally delicious all very well presented and the chips were to die for! We haven't been for a while but after last night we will definitely be back!! It was really lovely! Mark taken off as we had no Christmas crackers and it is Christmas time, so that would've been a nice touch!
A very nice Christmas dinner last night at the shore, new owners but food just as good and the stafff are very good and attentive, roll on Hogmanay
lovely place, lovely food would highly recommend for a family dinner
Lovely place , Waitresses very friendly. Very fast service . My only complaints would be that the chips being served up need to change from the greasy oven chips back to the home made ones .
We received a warm welcome. We had the Turkey dinner and fish and chips. Large portions of really nice food. The service was very good.
Second visit to try the main menu,we had chilli natchos to share, very good, real natchos ,not the cheap tortilla crisps you sometimes get, mains were good shore burger, and chicken with haggis and mash,my wife grave that the thumbs up,and a bottle wine thrown in,overall food was better of main menu, service was good, only niggle is to serve drinks quicker,we will go back to try something else.
Good food, pleasant people and helpful. Nice surroundings and no loud music. This is our third visit and is always the same, looking forward to our Christmas meal.
My first visit to The Shore & I will definitely be back for another visit very soon. Excellent food & first class service , highly recommend.
Lovely meal. Started with the chowder, then had the Chicken Balmoral, followed by the cheeseboard. Food was great and service was first class. Prices were a little expensive, but good value for money and typical for a meal of this quality in this area.
Great night for my sons birthday. Food was really good as was the service. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone for a night out.
Very nice meal and experience, staff were always smiling , extremely helpful, polite, informative ,attentive and always on hand to deal with any requests. Service was quick. Shall be back again...cheers guys

Nice restaurant with friendly and efficient staff. Food was lovely with a good choice on the menu. We all had the set price meal which is excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend The Shore.
Excellent service from the minute we stepped into the restaurant , food was delicious, car park at side of building, highly recommend anyone to go here , the won't be disappointed.
First time back in a while, not much changed,3course menu was fair, good value, chef, keep an eye on undercooked veg, drinks were bit pricey for a village pub/restaurant.Overall it was still OK,would i go back? yes,i will try the main menu next time.
It was good but not brilliant. The chips weren’t very good but that can be a personal preference thing. I has the macaroni and it was lovely, not the best I’ve ever had but good. The sticky toffee pudding was very nice. Two courses for £10.95 which is very reasonable. I found the seats quite low in relation to the tables which made eating slightly awkward, we were in a booth so I’m sure not all tables will be like that. The lady that served us seemed to be working behind the bar but served us very well and was absolutely lovely and very helpful. Overall it was pretty good pub grub and would consider going back again.
lovely restaurant staff great and friendly. food was reasonable however less use of a microwave to heat food would be better. nice setting but food could be better
Friendly and efficient service. Excellent food. Early evening menu exceptional value and lots of choice. Good draft beer. Nice atmosphere. Ample parking. Will definitely go again.
Lovely food. Mother in law was unwell and staff very helpful, thank you. Very reasonably priced and great atmosphere would recommend and will come back.
