Thoroughly enjoyed the food, we both had a starter and a main and we were pleased with our choices as the mains we both had a burger which was delicious. Good value for food and drinks and waitresses were helpful.

The staff were polite and the food was delicious with a great range of choice! Just a little bit dark and outdated upstairs and lacking an actual drinks menu. I would have loved a fancy cocktail to wash done the excellent food!

Was seated in the bar, had to request to order food as was waiting a while. However the food and drink were enjoyable and plentiful

Went for our 25th wedding anniversary meal, service was very slow, had to order our drinks at the bar in the end as we gave up waiting to be served at the table. Lots of flies around the table inside and had the smell of outside smokers wafting in on us. Steak was lovely and staff were friendly but left feeling very flat and not as though we’d had a special evening.

Pleasant staff well flavoured food a little dark inside not good for people who are unsteady on their feet

Staff we’re incredibly friendly and attentive. Food was amazing and cooked to liking, lots of options on the menu and service was fast. Highly recommend and will be returning!

Service was poor. Food wasn’t available. Felt bad as couple before us were still waiting for drinks after we had ordered food. No wine glasses had to drink out of tumblers. Table wasn’t cleaned from previous guests. And bill was wrong at the end.

Service was appalling. Definitely won’t be going back. Staff were totally unconcerned when we complained.

Long wait for service & everything over cooked. Very disappointed.

We and visitors and decided to take them to the Shakespear for a meal, they loved it.

Staff very friendly, nice atmosphere we all upgraded to 10 0z rib eye but had small thin piece of steak over cooked all the other food was tasty but as we had had a groupon offer we assumed that this was all that could be expected, cream on liquer coffees was sour and off but they had no more cream left so hade to make do with a regular coffee instead..

I was pleased with both my wine and food. My steak was well presented, cooked as requested and tasted good. The service received was pleasant and friendly and the restaurant was clean and comfortable.

Food is always lovely at the swan and service is normally really good but there is one member of staff who seems like they do not want to be there at all. It’s like if you ask for a drink or something you have massively inconvenienced them. Other than that as usual at the swan we had a lovely time.
