tibits - Heddon Street

Food was delicious. Table was reserved for six as requested in pleasant situation. A casual an relaxed experience. We lingered happily over a three hour lunch. We have already set a date to repeat the event.

I had to find staff to go to our reserved table and when we went to get our food there was no one to explain what the system was until eventually a member of staff saw our confused faces. The waiter was very helpful in finding out which foods I could eat based on my allergies. The atmosphere was great and lovely decor. The food was all cold which was a shame considering the price paid by weight. Desserts were disappointing to be honest. Wonderful location and decor but food was not to my liking unfortunately.

Extremely over priced for the quality of the food. Was not expecting to pay £15 for a small plate of food. I wish I had known the prices before visiting.

The atmosphere and the decor were great but was disappointed that the food was all cold (lukewarm at best). For the price it was disappointing that everything was self service too, especially having to carry everything downstairs and having to go back up for drinks.

This was my second time at Tibits. Location is great and the staff are very nice. The food is mostly delicious, but I'd like more variety in hot food. In the online menu they advertised things that I was expecting to have for dinner, but then were not there. I also think it's a little overpriced. I paid around £25 for a plate of dinner, a juice and a very small portion of dessert.

The staff were really helpful and friendly - food was delicious- you plate your food up yourself and then it's charged by weight- if you get a tab you just pay at the end .. There's a variety of hot and cold dishes. High and low seating - plum crumble was amazing... Really relaxing atmosphere.

Wonderful as always, there was great selection of really tasty food available and a lovely atmosphere! Tibits is such a great place to go with a group as then everyone can do as he pleases!

Very tasty food and good choice. Not so sure about the weighing system but would consider going again. A bit expensive for what it is.

Excellent choice of vegetarian option and great location on Heddon street with outdoor seating. The service operation needs to be tweaked as there were long queues of customers waiting to weigh & pay and order drinks.

We went there last Sunday lunch having been to see and exhibition at the Royal Academy. The exhibition was great, then we went to Tibits for lunch. Lunch was great.

Fabulous veggie food and excellent value - my new favourite! Nice mix of standard vegetarian dishes and some more adventurous options, so a great place to take carnivore friends.

Such a lovely birthday meal at Tibits . Fantastic food and atmosphere. Complimentary Xmas crackers . Wonderful welcome and service . I will definitely be booking again .

Great food, range of different vegan/vegetarian dishes. Temptation to avoid the heavy dishes as the cost is calculated by weight but pleasant service and wonderful location and very festive- thank you!

Great choice of food in a quiet haven just off Regent Street. Like the way they charge - by weight. Get a table downstairs - upstairs can get very busy with customers going back and forward to the food bar and to pay. Issue with the gents' toilet - leak from a pipe or cistern that wasn't being dealt with.

Another great Tuesday night at Tibits. They have a good selection of dishes (all vegan on Tuesday), and you are always made to feel welcome.

The ambience is lovely and the food fabulous! The only thing that stops this being a 5 star review is that you often wait a while to have your plate weighed and to pay. More staff needed on the paypoints - and particularly to serve drinks.

20 of us dined last night - to celebrate my birthday. Overall: tasty, friendly, nice atmosphere, relaxed, fun... just perfect. Everything was great. Will definitely return.

Wonderful vegetarian food, beautiful atmosphere, such a pleasant setting. It was a very good idea to book the table in advance, as there were people by the entrance waiting to be seated.

Great food and atmosphere. The self service aspect is great for everybody in your party, easy to do and the price works out well for how much you pile onto your plate :)

Lovely atmosphere and delicious vegetarian food. One of us was gluten free and it was great to have everything so clearly marked for allergies and dietary requirements. A wonderful night, thank you.

Lovely food, relaxed ambiance, great central location, helpful staff who allowed us plenty of time to linger, not noisy so we could chat easily and hear each other, excellent range non alcoholic drinks

The food was really great (a very good, varied selection) and the restaurant is lovely. My only criticism was that some of the hot dishes weren't *that* hot. It would also be nice to have more gluten-free vegan dessert options.

It was pretty easy to book through Quandoo. Sending the invitation to the people attending is a nice tool and keeps everyone informed. I book through my Galaxy S5 with no technical issues.

One of the best vegetarian places in London. A must go for all vegetarians, especially folks who do not eat onion garlic mushroom (lots of such options)

Fantastic food, drinks are a bit over-priced, try to get a table upstairs as tables on lower ground a bit canteen style. Overall good value for money

Lovely,relaxed atmosphere.. Booked table for 8 at 12:30 and left at 4 with no pressure to leave. Great to go up and get own portions as and when. Staff attentive.

Superb food, pleasant surroundings and we weren't rushed or pressured. I am a vegan but my three friends eat meat. They thanked me for finding such a fantastic restaurant in the heart of London. I will definitely be going again.

Laid back place with very pleasant staff and good range of excellent veggie and vegan food. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would recommend the restaurant if you are looking for informal dining.

I've been at Tibits for dinner for the first time on a Thursday night with my boyfriend and the family. The place is really nice, a lot of people but not a feeing of crowded place. I did not expect the self-service as only option and the "weight system" does not work so well I guess, and the price a bit high for the quantity of food you have in the plate at the end. No crowded at the self service isle though, so easy to manage. The food quality not too bad, even if you do not have meat you do not miss it, but not so much choice. Dessert/fruit corner a bit poor. Different experience, suggested for once, not sure if I'll come back soon.

There was a fantastic choice of food and great service as always! We arrived early for our reservation, however were seated straight away! Would score top marks if the toilets were cleaner.

Came here for my birthday dinner with a small group of friends and the good was lovely and the service was good - will come back! :)

Fabulous food, and we liked the idea of only paying for what you want. One of our party had a beer which was flat, and the manager offered to change it - no quibbles, no questions asked. We'll be back.

really good vegan food. bit pricey but cant complain really considering it is just off regents street. 100% recommend the deep fried jalapenos if you arent vegan.

Hugely overpriced for what essentially is a low quality buffet of lower than average food. Service is non existent Would be perfect for those that enjoy mediocrity for a haven price tag Avoid at all costs !

It was great, exactly what I expected, but the reservations DO NOT give you a good table. They only do reservations for downstairs...It was a really nice day and we forfeited our downstairs reservations to sit upstairs, so it is kind of pointless to make them.

Fabulous food. It had a great atmosphere as usual. Some of the male toilets were out of use otherwise would have been 6 out of 6.

I'm a regular to Tibits, and always pleased by their selection of dishes, especially since everything on a Tuesday is vegan. Also, presumably since this was a December booking, we got free xmas crackers and hats!

Very nice restaurant in quiet street in very central London. Fantastic vegetarian buffe with good information if you have allergy or if you are a vegan. Very good food!

Excellent venue, food, price, service. I'd booked a group of 25 family members to meet here. Age range from 6mths to 95yrs. Very relaxed, easy and enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend them.

The food was amazing (but you will have to pay a lot in order to taste everything)! The system at the till was supposed to be nice and smooth, but there were long lines (especially when somebody ordered a cocktail, the whole queue stood still). The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely and calm, no loud background music and the decor is nice. Definitely a place worth visiting when you can afford to spend a bit more on your food, whether you're a veggie or not!

Excellent quality food with loads of choice. I am not a veggie, but made no difference, it was lovely! Informal, so don't take someone here if you need a more formal environment. Also very good value for money. Will definitely come again!

Tibitts isn't a restaurant, more of a cafe. Most of the food is cold. There is no table service; you collect it from a buffet. You pay before you eat.
