tibits - Heddon Street

Tibits is a pleasant finding right in central London, very relaxing and friendly environment. Nice to catch up with friend and chat over some lovely fresh vegetarian and vegan food. Very affordable and extremely good quality. Staff was very helpful and accommodating of our needs. Never disappoints and it's always great to come back.

Really great restaurant. I'm not a vegetarian but I love the taste of all the amazing food they make. Would prefer to sit upstairs than downstairs but they have a really relaxed vibe there and are very helpful.

Great food and atmosphere. Lots of vegan options, (Tuesday is 100% vegan). Plenty of choice on the 'boat' from salads, hot meals, soups and desserts. Plus a wide selection if fresh juices, wines etc.

Excellent customer service, all has been amazing. Will recommend. 10/10. Food, location, perfec. An Oasis in London for vegans. :) Try it, you will not be disappointed.

The food was great, but a bit shame they couldn't organise their staff a bit better. They should have a queue that only handles food, not drinks. The waiting was long and could easily be avoided.

Tibits has a really nice atmosphere, warm and welcoming. The seasonal menu is simple but delicious. Highly recommend this hidden treasure to any veggies or vegans.

Friendly, informal atmosphere. Reasonable value for excellent variety of vegetarian food. Sweets great. Wine was fine although not totally convinced about the cocktails. Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.

Not many restaurants consider having onion and garlic as an allergy, so I was pleasantly surprised to see their respective pictograms on each and every dish that had onion/garlic content! Vegan Tuesdays is also a fantastic idea.

its a overall nice place but when you hungry it will work out as a very expensive plate of food - £27 per plate. delicious but very expensive

Gorgeous food and great for the kids to be able to play too. Loved it! Staff were friendly & we all felt very relaxed there - which often isn't the case with a 1yr & 3yr old in tow!

Birthday "cake" a bit disappointing for the price - stack of chocolate brownies for £25 not best value, but great food and good atmosphere as always.

Great place in good location which you can book if 4 people plus. Fantastic choice of delicious food, weighed and charged as taken. Clean with pleasant friendly staff at a reasonable cost.

Nice place. We had been booked in the kiddies coroner as we had 3 kids but ooor communication amongst staff meant we didn't get the kids corner. However we had a really nice seating with pretty ceiling lights. Very nice waitress. Superb food- self service. Pricey though. Would go again

Wonderful atmosphere with a large variety of vegetarian and vegan food. All very tasty with an overall delightful dining experience. You don't even miss the meat!

Great vegetarian restaurant (with vegan options). The food is always fresh and delicious. I love the fact that you serve yourself and you pay at the start so you can just spend your time eating and socialising with the people you're with, and then leave when you're ready, no waiting around/looking at menus/ordering/trying to get the waiter's attention/etc. Highly reccomended for great food, great atmosphere and great setting.

Food was great. So much choice which is awesome as I'd never tried much. You can have as much or as little as you like, you just pay for what you have which is a good idea.

This is one of my favourite restaurants. Went here for my birthday dinner and even my non veggie friends loved it!!!! Would highly recommend it.

So much variety, and really tasty food. Extensive drinks menu. Reasonably priced. Really pretty restaurant with nice outdoor area with heaters. Thumbs up, five stars!

Very nice location and helpful staff. Seating request attended to. I don't eat desserts myself but the other people who came along thought it would work better if the dessert counter was not part of the mains counter. Unfortunately I was charged for one plate of food which appeared on the tab and which we had not selected. It appeared after the desserts whilst drinks, mains and desserts were in sequence as ordered. It was clearly an error which could have happened because of using a tab or due to staff being very busy. It was sorted fairly quickly. Food of great quality.

The food and ambiance are fantastic at Tibits. I love the seasonal variations on the menu, with several pumpkin dishes this time. My favourite restaurant in London!

Nice ambiance and best food...variety of veggie options from around the world...love their stuffed Jalapenos and sun dried tomatoes edamame salad...great dessert options was nice way to end the meal.

An absolutely fantastic night for our daughters graduation meal. She is the only vegan in our family, but we all enjoyed the food. Thank you

I discovered Tibits a few years ago and have returned many times. First impressions are good, great décor and atmosphere. The self-service procedure is good; lots to choose from, have as much or as little as you want. Everything appetising, fresh and well presented. Food and drink is always delicious. For informal gatherings of a larger group of friends it is suitably relaxed and comfortable downstairs. Upstairs great for 2, 3 or 4.

Awesome place to get friends together for dinner! A bit pricy, i wonder if they would get a set entree for a fixed price so that those with larger appetites can fill the belly for a decent cost. : )

As a 'non vegetarian' I thought this was delicious food, great service and proved a good place to meet up with friends. Mixture of hot and cold meals was wide ranging and the hunter stew was z particular favourite for us.

Very nice food, I am not vegetarian, but still loved most of the stuff, both the mains and the desserts. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Recommend to everyone who wants to meet with friends for a chat and a good meal.

We went on a Monday lunchtime: the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food and a wide selection. Great for an informal lunch between colleagues.

Lovely atmosphere, great choice of dishes - was such a pleasant difference to know that as a vegetarian nothing was off limit. My party was seated downstairs, which had a brilliant relaxed atmosphere and perfect volume for conversation. Already planning my next visit.

Excellent choice of food and lovely staff made the experience very enjoyable. Also the prices for out meals were very reasonable averaging about £8 a head.

Great place and especially good for a large party, like us. Food is delicious and an excellent price. My brother usually complains if there is no meat, but really enjoyed the food. He and his family were delighted to find a good veggie restaurant to recommend to their meat-avoiding friends too. Very relaxed and easy. We stayed chatting for hours, and as the restaurant wasn't terribly busy, we were welcomed to stay as long as we liked.

Food is always tasty, the ambiance is also very enjoyable. Great choice for vegetarians and vegans, although I wish there were more variety in hot vegan meals.

Really great food and a different way of dining. Accommodating of large groups. Having sampled almost everything on offer the night of my visit its clear that the restaurant offers a great variety of vegetarian and vegan food. Only down side was that the drinks were highly overpriced.

Good to have a vegetarian/vegan restaurant in this area as my daughter is vegan and it's always difficult finding a restaurant we both like. Nice relaxed atmosphere, buffet food only so no table service which I knew about and was fine. The downside for me is that you don't know how much your food is going to cost you until you get to the till where they weigh it. It would be so much better for customers to be able to weigh their food and know what the cost will be prior to that. My bill came as a bit of a shock to be honest as the food is quite expensive. £15 for quite a small plateful. Nice vegan passion fruit cream dessert and lovely sticky toffee pudding on offer, but some of the other puddings looked nice but were slightly odd to taste, e.g the, panacotta made from tofu tasted weird! No crumble on offer which was on their online menu so a huge disappointment for me. I would go again but would recommend you be careful with portion sizes if you're on a budget.

I loved the restaurant. Food is great. Wonderful choice and surprisingly great value for money. My only quibble is that having booked a table for 7, the waiter very keen to get us to use the downstairs part of the restaurant. This would need us to go down the stairs with food on a slippy tray. One our party has mobility problems. There was room in the main part and we settled ourselves there. I did go down to the basement and was glad we were not there as the atmosphere was not so good. Overall very good and will definitely return.

This a lovely light restaurant with a friendly and informal meal. The birch trees provide a talking point and some natural privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed the concept and enjoyed 90% of what we tried, which is a much better hit rate than many places, veggie included. Main comments for mgmt are - I was put off trying the lovely looking curry by the lack of anything to soak it up with - no rice, barley, quinoa, pasta? Naan wasn't appropriate for something so liquid, as it couldn't dam the plate from other food. Also - how about providing some bread, olive oil & balsamic vinegar? Could be a standard small plate separately priced, or free, like tibits

Never disappoints, at first one might think a buffet would be dull and uninteresting. Think again! Tibits always has something to excite, and the food is of the highest quality. As a vegan, it is pure luxury for me to have so much choice.

Interesting concept but it really doesn't work. The vegetarian food on offer is varied but lacks flavour and most of the 'hot' dishes were lookwarm. Because you have to weigh your plate, you have no idea how much you will end up paying and tge queue to pay is slow and all the time the food is getting colder. If you're in a big group everyone gets back to the table at different times. The staff aren't overly helpful and what limited service there was available was fiarly poor. I am definitely never going back again.

Tibits was the perfect place for my gathering! The downstairs area was spacious and chill, just what I wanted. The food was perfect for food intolerant guests as well.

We had a great meal at Tibits. The two of us who are vegetarians really enjoyed the variety of hot and cold dishes available but the other three meat eaters in our party cleared their plates too. The mushroom and chestnut dish was especially tasty. We all felt we were too full for dessert but managed to share the delicious lemon drizzle cake and chocolate brownies. Staff were pleasant and helpful. A very good evening, enjoyed by all.

We had lunch today outside on the terrace ! Lovely vegetarian food , you choose as much as you want from a buffet and it is good value. I also enjoyed the novelty.

Really fresh and deliciously cooked vegan food including the best panacotta I have ever had. My non-vegetarian/vegan friend, who is a total foody, was charmed by the offerings at Tibits. Especially the panacotta, which is one of her favourites. The staff at Tibits are unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful.

Excellent food and helpful service. We were sat downstairs which was far less noisy and allowed us to have conversations. The Prosecco Kir was delicious too!

Tibits can be hit and miss depending on what they're serving on the day - as it changes every day you might miss out on their 'best'. BUT there's somethign for everyone and even my not-at-all-vegetarian OH loves it.

tibits have brilliant food, great drinks and a good vibe. will definitely be visiting again. have a good range for a variety of people. x

The food was nicely presented, and really tasty. Slightly disappointed that we booked a table and was put downstairs when they had outside seating, I feel I should have been asked? But very nice ambiance, and very please with dinner. Had a big plate and large glass of wine for under £20 - very happy!

Tibits is a good vegetarian restaurant with lots of choice to satisfy all dietary requirements. Concept is great buffet style and to pay what your plate weighs and somehow it works! Usually a plate of food costs £8-15 depending on quantity taken. Lots of interesting food and the food is replenished often. The atmosphere and texture of the restaurant is interesting. An easy place to meet up with friends as it is also quite centrally located (not far from Oxford Circus ).

Tibits was lovely we had a very low key baby shower there as the mummy to be didn't want a fuss. Food delicious and juices.

Another great visit to Tibits on Vegan Tuesdays. They keep introducing new dishes which keeps us regulars coming back for more. Sadly no onion rings this week though!
