Topkapi Palace - Deansgate

I've been visiting this restaurant since it opened in the late 70's. Its an old favourite of mine and I'm rarely disappointed.

I have been using this restaurant for many many years and I have never ever been disappointed. Absolutely great value for money. Been twice in 7 days.

My daughter is coeliac, meaning gluten will make her very poorly. Garlic bread (GF) was on the menu. Good job we checked with the waitress. She really didn’t understand the question.....checking it was actually gluten free. In the end we got there....it was not gluten free. !!! The food was ok, nothing special.

Very tasty vegetable lasagne that was the centrepiece of dinner. There is a good range of starters and drinks were reasonably priced all in a clean comfortable environment.

Lovely evening out, good food, great service. Would definitely go back!

As I said after my visit on Wednesday I would definitely recommend. This place has been a firm favourite of mine for years. Back there again Sunday. 3 times in a week says how good x

We had a lovely visit to Topkapi Palace, the staff were very attentive, the food and atmosphere fantastic, we look forward to visiting again.

Started well with prompt and friendly service and good food but a 15 minute wait for the offer of the dessert menu followed by another 20 minute wait for coffee isn't acceptable. Even on a Saturday night. Hence the mediocre overall review.

This is the second time i have been to TopKapi and i think it's a lovely place. I loved the turkish rice a lot, i just wish they would give a little more so that it would be enough to eat with the whole meal.

Iklander kebab, mainly doner meat, pitta torn pieces mixed in not a separate pitta. EFES beer flat.

Food was okay, nothing special, seating was a bit cramped, it was okay, not really any bad points.

I've been a few times to Topkapi - they've been going since 1979! Must be doing something right. Visited post-theatre as Opera House close by. Other more "fancy" places nearby if you want to "dress to impress" but if you're more "old skool" then you'll enjoy Topkapi just as much if not more - enjoy!

We chose this restaurant because it's close to Deansgate Station and the Bridgewater Hall, and because there are as many (if not more) vegetarian dishes as meaty ones (yuk)

The food was delicious, especially the cheese parcels straight from the oven. The waitress did an excellent job serving everyone on a busy night. Only negative was we weren’t offered water and we didn’t get the Turkish delight on paying the bill as in previous visit.
